means they creamed the start of the note and fixed it on the end .... left side is start of note right side is end and the horizontal up and down is the actual dynamic phrasing .... hope this helped!
Zach Doherty he literally means that the left side of the snareline is where the error occurred. Thick could mean balance, or a subtle rhythmic disconnect such as someone ever so slightly, sitting on the backside of the beat, or not using the appropriate hand pressure in a roll.
Kj Classymanss you’re obviously not a percussionist LOL you are so wrong. He meant the literal left side of the snare line messed up. Like a player on the left side
It could be possibly be multiple things, probably the errors the judge pointed out, and / or the 5 groups placing above crown either had harder music, less errors, or maybe both. By all means this was still a good percussion line, not THE best, but still good. But I'd say confidently in 2013 the five above them did have more consistency.
My left ear enjoyed this quite a lot.
I need this kind of positivity in my life
LEFT SIDE!! lol fun summer
Its all so CLEEEEEEEEEAN
I appreciate the DEMAND there
It’s cool how the judge knowledges how much the line improved over the season
They really improved so much
"Yep.... I appreciate that.... Yep...."
I want the BRASS tape
Environmental Demand?
Drill, listening enviorement, etc.
Ian Mahaffey cheers
What does he mean by thick on side of the line? Just unbalanced?
My understanding of that is fuzz/dirt

@@alexwilson2268 i've heard judges refer to scores geographically like that, so that's actually not a bad potential interpretation of that comment
Can someone explain why this percussion line placed 6th? Is it primarily due to number of ensemble errors?
