1000x cleaner than the carbon monoxide in the air.

@@chrisfriends7911 where do you think the electricity comes from?
      Here’s a big hint…COAL!!!
Not only will we be destroying the planet and producing c02 in the production of lithium but we will also still be producing as much green house gas.
This is just misguided narcissistic self aggrandizing “green” activism that is rooted in racism and old school colonialism.

I want to see masses of low and middle income people all go out and buy Teslas for $65,000. Or any other new electric car. Most people are just getting by paycheck to paycheck! They are not in the market for a new electric car. Most people will be keeping their gasoline powered cars running for a million miles. Just like Cuba does with their obsolete cars from the 1950s.

Even in 13 years they won’t have a power grid to support this.. especially California & it’s electric problems.. gonna look dumb as usual

As a mechanical engineer. Energy in one form or another is still energy. It’s not honest to say that it has zero emissions. There are always emissions. Enthalpy and entropy. Thermodynamics. ♥️

You know what someone sitting at a charging station is?.....an easy target for criminality. Something tells me the gas lobby isn't going to let their customers go so easily.

This is disgusting. The electrical grid goes off coal!

Currently Oregon gets ~25% of its electricity from burning coal. Hopefully they have a plan to get rid of that as well. I think moderation would be a better approach than all or nothing electric.

They will be paying different taxes , gas tax goes towards road and freeway maintenance . And for the electric cars traveling threw other states should pay a fee for road use , since they don't pay for gas . As of now , the town I live in , has 2 public charging stations.

We are "not" ready for more pos electrical cars the power grid will fail it won't be able to handle the charging heat not to mention the hot weather better yet why can't we leave things alone were gaining nothing by going big battery powered rc cars its going to be the most stupidest idea yet thats like building homes in a desert without water available "oh wait thats happening " we're doomed

Oil is running out anyway, this spurs planning ahead to transition out of gas cars before gas becomes scarce and horribly expensive! We need electric car infrastructure, power grid renewable energy sources, home charging and electric vehicle subsidies, and mass transit and pedestrian/ bicycle infrastructure improvements to get through this transition as smoothly as possible. No new gas cars in 17 years is hardly radical. In 17 years gas for cars may be moot.
