Thank you. I think you are the first one to make such a video explaining the new concept. I was waiting to understand! Thank you for your hard work.
Welcome 😊
What about buying only and no writing? As Zerodha is asking more than double amount of premium as a margin for buying options.
Please highlight. Thanks.
For Hedged Position, if I wish to carry forward can you please clarify should I maintain 1L plus like earlier case or just some buffer amount(10 -15K) to total margin is sufficient? And if with 40K amount in account will I be able to sell a ce and then buy pe ? How can we place such order when we have less amount ?
In such cases, first, you need to execute the buy-side option order and then execute the other one which needs a higher margin
Consolidated Crystallized Obligation required
by Exchange
What is this?
This video is about a new margin framework of the exchange.
Sir, Very good explanation, but still, small retail traders cant trade with the total margin amount alone. Seems like we want full amount to hold positon overnight, ie 1.2 lakh around for one sell. I tried to execute a iron condor, i was having 60000 rs in my account. Margin calculator shown 48000 rs as required margin. But i was not execute sell . Correct me if i am wrong.
I always like the way you explain practically 👌
Thanks a lot 😊
How to add the strike price in zerodha to avail the benefit
In the first place, you need to enter the options buying contract and parallel after this place a selling order... You will automatically be considered in the margin benefit

sir , does the margin change in MIS for option writer ?and why sometimes order have slippage on writing side ?
Slippage is not related to the order types, it's related to the liquidity of the instrument.
Try to implement in highly liquid instruments it will be resolved.

In zerodha, I don't think so!
I think they have a limitations for the strike range, check their website...but it's definitely possible in other brokers!
Does this only for index?????
Hey Krishna,
This is applicable for stocks derivatives as well.
Hi, is it only for F&O. How about Equity Spot (Intraday/Swing etc)? Please confirm
It's for FNO
So you mean to say there are no margin change for Equity spot and it will continue with what it is now? Pls advice.
There are no changes as the Equity is purchased as an asset!
It's not a contract,
