I've seen all the measuring videos, but never seen this process of deconstructing the shoe to make corrections. Absolutely fascinating. I would love to be able to do something like this. I have one longer foot with the other quite a bit wider with narrow heels so getting really good fitting shoes can be very difficult. As usual, terrific content.

How much was the greatcoat?
@@RehabProjectSRCB Around £1200. It was altered for me which cost another £100. Looks fantastic when worn and warm as toast.
@@russ9921 hmm not sure I want to spend $1800 on a coat ATM. It is lovely but since I'm American and the exchange rate is quite poor right now it seems it's not the best time for it.

Great video as always. This type of video is my favorite, seeing the process + conversation with Kirby and experts is always enlightening and gives perspective to the effort applied here.

@@kirbyallison The suit is a good cut overall but next time get the collar corrected, Kirby. There shouldn’t be a gap between your neck and the collar when you sit down. My late uncle was a bespoke tailor and would rail at the TV screen when he saw that on a news presenter’s suit.

I've been thinking for a while and cannot help asking: when will 3d printing be used to make lasts and wouldn't that make bespoke shoe making process easier and cheaper?
Wood* plastic is different, i make shoe too, i just use wood, it's just so good and versatile, easy to fix, change shape, and drawing on it with pencil that can be erased, other few reasons that are not in my cases, like of being plastic and not reciclable, or snobish and traditionalist mind, some people don't even know a bespoke Concept, they think it's made of a raw wood block and then sculpted to a shoe last and yes, but this was back then where there wasn't technology that far, i work with pre molded lasts, bespoke it means tailored Based on measurements of the customer, it's just a short cut, time saving and money saving, of course i can make it from a raw tree, like, 500€ or pre molded, but after that is totally sanded, sculpted for the customer 250€ half the price, you choose, won't change final result

New shoes will be made. The fitting shoes are often made from inferior materials and are cut so that adjustments can be made.
@@rade1809 Thank you for replying. Never knew this process! I guess it makes sense and it's logical to do so with inferior materials, but still have to resemble real product as much as possible. These arts and crafts are so underated, and it's nice that people are still doing this. Enjoyment to watch and see those skills.

These "professional" shoemakers seem to find it impossible to abandon their foot deforming "canoe" shaped monstrosities in favor of making a shoe that accommodates the actual shape of the human foot. This "shoemaker" seems to have convinced this customer that his bunion causing joke of a shoe is actually what he wants.
I can't keep my eyes of Daniel's boots. So beautiful.
Kirby, I can't help it, but I'm not a fan of your Alan Flusser suit. It's obviously a high quality suit, but of all your suits, I think I like this one the least. I do hope you like it a lot, after all that's the most important matter off course.

@@jebbush2527 I can't lay my finger on it. Just every time I see Kirby wearing this suit I notice I'm not liking it. Maybe it's the fabric, maybe it's the cut. Maybe it's just the way it looks on camera. I don't know. I feel his other suits look far better on him.

Howdy Kirby, I have a question relating to shoe care, I’ve noticed that my shoe heels seem to wear-out rather quickly (after only a few months) and it happens unevenly, only on the ends of them and to the left and right (one side per shoe) what do you think causes this? Thank you, and God bless you brother. Keep up the good work.
I've got the same issue, it is about the way we step, at least with me, my boots wear on the rear left of the heel on the left shoe and the rear right of the right shoe. I find that I kick the heel from the outside of my body towards the center at a slight diagonal just barely grazing the ground
Go full rubber heel pads and have your cobbler switch them out before you wear through to the leather heel.
Has anyone actually gone onto his website? It’s has an appalling design and the prices are just laughable for a shitty brand.
