Awesome work mate, I will need to replace the rear of my frame, super daunting, since the rear leafspring mount is tied into the crossmember on the short wheel base.
G’day mate, Same setup on the LWB Utes - The spring hangers are removed in this video. It’s all structural in this area! Realistically a strong repair can all be done to the required level by doing some research, paying adequate attention and using some basic principles of engineering. The original factory frame has some horribly undercut welds vertically along the chassis, and that’s still there after almost 50 years, so I figure myself or anyone else can probably do a job that will last just as long as long as you care to do it properly.
