I highly doubt this would ever be possible. it doesn't even make sense in a sci-fi game. but I never really questioned it and I guess nobody else did either they just wanted to play the game and ignore the fact that this makes no sense.
@@sensaznal yeah I think they could of made this work if the collectors took Shepard's body immediately and cyrogenically froze it like you said. Then Liara and the Drell could of taken it back. The way they wrote it Shepard's body was just floating out in space for weeks until it was found by Liara and the Drell then they had it for another few weeks while fighting off collector attacks and negotiating with Cerberus.

They crashed on the planet, which makes less sense for how they recovered them because there should be nothing left TO recover. But this technology isn't impossible. It is possible. We just lack the current level of technology and resources to do it.
I had an experimental surgery surgery done to mitigate a genetic heart defect. I was the second person they did it to. They sat my parents down and explained it for hours in great detail before. It’s because of this I have a great respect for the miracles and beauty of science and the rapid advancement of medicine in the last 200 years. I hope for a longer lifespan and something like this in the future. This reminds me also of the series my dad grew up with of The Million Dollar Man.

After the ship exploded, the Commander fixed the Oxygen tanks off screen, True Shepard might have caught a little fire in the atmosphere or exosphere, but the kinetic barrier shield protected the Commander from getting completely burned, by the time the shields went down, the Commander was already out of the blazing Atmosphere or Exosphere, (Not all planets have Atmospheres, Planet Mercury does not have a Atmosphere instead has a exopshere, getting little closer to the surface, the Commander would have either landed on Water Rivers, Ponds, or Lakes, go through a cloud, or barely slow down crash landing on feet, so land on the Snowy ground surface of the planet that made a soft landing, to soften the landing. But even if there were no Water on the Surface, the Commander still had other ways to extinguish fire, most likely one is passing through a cloud since every clouds are made of Water Vapour. Either way Shepard managed to get the fire destroyed, either in the snow or water vapour, slowed down the free fall by using Biotics, but another Ship Parr explosion happened sending Shrapnel through the armor, slightly damaging Oxygen tanks again, managed to slow down barely then crash landed on feet but lost control due to Shrapnel, was badly Brutalized with broken Arms, Broken legs, one broken Neck bone, few facial scars. Some damaged Breathing Organs, Shepard had a Oxygen tank to stay alive, but wasn't gonna last all day, was slowly leaking then was comatosed. But the Commander's suit transponder was still emiting the emergency distress beacon, by the time the Collectors left to go to hiding for now, they issued a Bounty find the Commander Dead or Alive, brought back to them, then the Shadow Broker henchman S.B for short went to the last known location, found the Beacon on Alchera. Found Shepard's barely alive Comatose Brutalized body, the Oxygen tank held up long enough for Shepard to be found by S.B henchman, they were almost emptied, they Saved Shepard. They hooked up the Commander to their Life Support Stasis pod. The S.B. made Sure Shepard is still alive. Gave Shepard a Neck brace they put the body in a box with life support to make sure the Commander breathes. Eventually Jacob still an Alliance soldier before joining Cerberus, Liara, Miranda Feron Former S.B. Employee got the body back from those IDIOTS. told Liara they can rebuild the damaged body, she knew they would use Shepard for their Racist alien Purpose. Yet she gave the body to them, FREAKING IDIOT BLUE TWAT🟦

People die after not receiving oxygen to their brains after SECONDS, regardless of how frozen their brains are. As far as I can see, Shepard was dead in fifteen million ways to Sunday. That was not a coma. That was just straight death. Shepard died after the crash, kinetic barriers failed after a few shots. Things like the international space station burn up in seconds when entering the atmosphere and just turn into slag. From what I saw of the first cutscene, Shepard was fucking unconscious, so there's no way in hell they could've fixed their tanks in time to survive TERMINAL VELOCITY or be conscious after going into shock from the burns and lack of oxygen. Not to mention that falling into the water would guarantee that their blood would freeze and crystalize, that and falling into water from a high height is just like falling into fucking cement. The surface tension needs to be broken to survive the impact. There's no way in hell Shepard had anything that could do that. Snow is also pretty fucking hard, I know from personal experience, so that's not any better either. Then you have ice that's likely 60 centimetres thick, so that's just a fucking death sentence. Shepard fucking died. There's no other way around it.

The comparisons here are asinine, the ME3 one most of all. In ME3, the entire galaxy (or most of it) came together and pooled their resources to the alliance with no charge, because if they didn't then *everyone in the universe would die*. In ME2, they didn't specifically spent the credits on Shep, they spent it BECAUSE of them - they spent it to build the Lazarus Project, which was to be used on Shep... but once they have it, they have it. it's not going anywhere. Also they're trying to kill Shep because the Illusive Man has been indoctrinated. He brought Shep back as his own goal, and now isn't acting on his own goals anymore.

Well, this is set 160 years from now. Respirocytes will almost certainly be broadly available by then, so losing suit air would be merely a nuisance. With a working omnitool, and several minutes to act before terminal velocity, it would be possible to construct a hang glider or similar simple airfoil/squirrel suit. (Heck, we do that today with a couple of meters of fabric.) The landing might still be faster than comfortable, but notice that when Normandy drops out of FTL, she practically *stops.* We don't really know what Shepard's speed was after being blown out of the ship, so we can assume it might even be a free-fall like the Red Bull jump of a few years ago. And Alchera is a snowball, so (assuming Our Hero was still killed by the impact, but largely intact thanks to a suit of armour with Medical Exoskeleton [my mod of choice under all circumstances anyway,]) the Deep Freeze would keep the remains safe until recovery, like for cryogenics. Shepard was abandoned by the Alliance, but not by his friends, and certainly not by the Illusive Man. "See to it that we *don't* lose him," was his charge to Miranda; I'd be surprised if she - or a capable cohort - hadn't been following at a safe distance. There's even a tie-in story of Liara going back there; you don't suppose she'd actually *dawdle,* do you? At least, that's how I've written it for my 3-game fanfic rewrite. Haven't released that part yet, but I've only published a bit more than half of what I've written, and I haven't written everything there is to write. I suppose it's kinda like a computer where if you take a computer and leave it in the attic for 20 years then suddenly dedicde to plug it in it doesn't miss anything. but idk how that would work with an organic mind. I think it would be possible to bring someone back but they'd lose all their personality and memory and just come back in a borderline vegetative state because all the nerves systems I'm the brain that kept that person are gone. this is an interesting topic.

It'll take some planning and experiments to figure this all out. But most of all, how do we get from where we are to where we want to be? As awesome as that sounds, The reality still remains that humans want other options, even if that means doing nothing. Monetary ways of funding anything is still the better way of going about any progress in this world, it's sad yes, but it's the best we can do with what we are able to do. @@sensaznal yeah I think they could of made this work if the collectors took Shepard's body immediately and cyrogenically froze it like you said. Then Liara and the Drell could of taken it back. The way they wrote it Shepard's body was just floating out in space for weeks until it was found by Liara and the Drell then they had it for another few weeks while fighting off collector attacks and negotiating with Cerberus.

They crashed on the planet, which makes less sense for how they recovered them because there should be nothing left TO recover. But this technology isn't impossible. It is possible. We just lack the current level of technology and resources to do it.
I had an experimental surgery surgery done to mitigate a genetic heart defect. I was the second person they did it to. They sat my parents down and explained it for hours in great detail before. It’s because of this I have a great respect for the miracles and beauty of science and the rapid advancement of medicine in the last 200 years. I hope for a longer lifespan and something like this in the future. This reminds me also of the series my dad grew up with of The Million Dollar Man.

First of All, We want to know what does BBQD stands for. And Second NOOOOO Either Gender Shepard Never died, after the Explosion from the Mark 1 prototype Normandy, Shepard crashed landed on Alchera the barren frozen wasteland planet. After the ship exploded, the Commander fixed the Oxygen tanks off screen, True Shepard might have caught a little fire in the atmosphere or exosphere, but the kinetic barrier shield protected the Commander from getting completely burned, by the time the shields went down, the Commander was already out of the blazing Atmosphere or Exosphere, (Not all planets have Atmospheres, Planet Mercury does not have a Atmosphere instead has a exopshere, getting little closer to the surface, the Commander would have either landed on Water Rivers, Ponds, or Lakes, go through a cloud, or barely slow down crash landing on feet, so land on the Snowy ground surface of the planet that made a soft landing, to soften the landing. But even if there were no Water on the Surface, the Commander still had other ways to extinguish fire, most likely one is passing through a cloud since every clouds are made of Water Vapour. Either way Shepard managed to get the fire destroyed, either in the snow or water vapour, slowed down the free fall by using Biotics, but another Ship Parr explosion happened sending Shrapnel through the armor, slightly damaging Oxygen tanks again, managed to slow down barely then crash landed on feet but lost control due to Shrapnel, was badly Brutalized with broken Arms, Broken legs, one broken Neck bone, few facial scars. Some damaged Breathing Organs, Shepard had a Oxygen tank to stay alive, but wasn't gonna last all day, was slowly leaking then was comatosed.
But the Commander's suit transponder was still emiting the emergency distress beacon, by the time the Collectors left to go to hiding for now, they issued a Bounty find the Commander Dead or Alive, brought back to them, then the Shadow Broker henchman S.B for short went to the last known location, found the Beacon on Alchera. Found Shepard's barely alive Comatose Brutalized body, the Oxygen tank held up long enough for Shepard to be found by S.B henchman, they were almost emptied, they Saved Shepard. They hooked up the Commander to their Life Support Stasis pod. The S.B. made Sure Shepard is still alive. Gave Shepard a Neck brace they put the body in a box with life support to make sure the Commander breathes.
Eventually Jacob still an Alliance soldier before joining Cerberus, Liara, Miranda Feron Former S.B. Employee got the body back from those IDIOTS. told Liara they can rebuild the damaged body, she knew they would use Shepard for their Racist alien Purpose. Yet she gave the body to them, FREAKING IDIOT BLUE TWAT🟦

@@gabrielivan2538 That makes zero fucking sense. How the hell would you end up in "just a coma" after falling from the fucking atmosphere and burning up like an asteroid? According to the readings, their bones are fucking gone, their heart stopped beating long ago and is pretty much dead like the rest of their organs, and their brain hasn't received any oxygen for months. People die after not receiving oxygen to their brains after SECONDS, regardless of how frozen their brains are. As far as I can see, Shepard was dead in fifteen million ways to Sunday. That was not a coma. That was just straight death. Shepard died after the crash, kinetic barriers failed after a few shots. Things like the international space station burn up in seconds when entering the atmosphere and just turn into slag. From what I saw of the first cutscene, Shepard was fucking unconscious, so there's no way in hell they could've fixed their tanks in time to survive TERMINAL VELOCITY or be conscious after going into shock from the burns and lack of oxygen. Not to mention that falling into the water would guarantee that their blood would freeze and crystalize, that and falling into water from a high height is just like falling into fucking cement. The surface tension needs to be broken to survive the impact. There's no way in hell Shepard had anything that could do that. Snow is also pretty fucking hard, I know from personal experience, so that's not any better either. Then you have ice that's likely 60 centimetres thick, so that's just a fucking death sentence. Shepard fucking died. There's no other way around it.

The comparisons here are asinine, the ME3 one most of all. In ME3, the entire galaxy (or most of it) came together and pooled their resources to the alliance with no charge, because if they didn't then *everyone in the universe would die*. In ME2, they didn't specifically spent the credits on Shep, they spent it BECAUSE of them - they spent it to build the Lazarus Project, which was to be used on Shep... but once they have it, they have it. it's not going anywhere.
Also they're trying to kill Shep because the Illusive Man has been indoctrinated. He brought Shep back as his own goal, and now isn't acting on his own goals anymore.

Well, this is set 160 years from now. Respirocytes will almost certainly be broadly available by then, so losing suit air would be merely a nuisance. With a working omnitool, and several minutes to act before terminal velocity, it would be possible to construct a hang glider or similar simple airfoil/squirrel suit. (Heck, we do that today with a couple of meters of fabric.)
The landing might still be faster than comfortable, but notice that when Normandy drops out of FTL, she practically *stops.* We don't really know what Shepard's speed was after being blown out of the ship, so we can assume it might even be a free-fall like the Red Bull jump of a few years ago. And Alchera is a snowball, so (assuming Our Hero was still killed by the impact, but largely intact thanks to a suit of armour with Medical Exoskeleton [my mod of choice under all circumstances anyway,]) the Deep Freeze would keep the remains safe until recovery, like for cryogenics.
Shepard was abandoned by the Alliance, but not by his friends, and certainly not by the Illusive Man. "See to it that we *don't* lose him," was his charge to Miranda; I'd be surprised if she - or a capable cohort - hadn't been following at a safe distance. As awesome as that sounds, The reality still remains that humans want other options, even if that means doing nothing.
