I love these types of videos because I get to see brands I’ve never heard of and real life views of how palettes look. Sometimes I feel ordering online skews the colors and makes them look differently than in real life. Thanks so much for the explanations and taking the time to show how some of the shades pick up as well. As always you are so thorough and I’m glad to see you back 🥰
Jen, I know your channel is mostly abt reviews and dupes, but I would really appreciate seeing you actually use a lot of these palettes that you love because there's quite a bit that I see and actually like as well. I may not buy some of these palettes, but I also dont know a lot abt them because nobody really talks about them and if they do its like a "one and done" type thing and off to the declutter pile they go. IMHO, what's the point of having these palettes if that's all you're ever gonna do with them? Don't waste your money. So please do more GRWM and Shop my stash videos...that would make my day!
Hi Deanna! I definitely get where you're coming from, I would love to do more videos like that. Sadly they don't get the same views that new makeup videos do and I wish more people thought like you do and would want to see them. Unfortunately I usually only have time to film videos twice a week or so and I have to be mindful of which topics will get the most views. I keep the old palettes mostly for comparisons because I'm always trying to find dupes and occasionally I'll film a video about favorite older palettes or favorite Fall palettes or whatever and then I use them. But yes I agree...it's a waste which is why I don't buy palettes as much as I used to (I used to buy every one that came out!). Although I do get a lot of PR and probably close to half of my palettes were sent to me. When I started my channel, GRWM and tutorial videos were very popular but things have changed a lot since then. 😔
I depotted around 35 palettes incl Viseart, ND & CP but also lots of glued in eye shadows like Sigma, Juvias Place, Bperfect, Beauty Bay, Huda etc. It was eye opening ..I had so many identical colours even in bright colours and shimmers. I swatched similar colours against each other between 15 different brands comparing performance... Price differences were huge but no indicator of quality at all. All palettes had dud shades in every single brand and disappointing shimmers. All brands had some very beautiful shimmers too. Every single palette really was a mixed bag if you compare each shade to the competition and most of the palettes this concerns are/were hyped on TH-cam. Once depotted I had trouble to recognise what palette/brand a shadow was from because they were all basically the same quality - I had decluttered all disappointing shades...not a single palette or brand that was 100 great.
Some of the sheer shades I think are more of a topper shade as to add a little extra sparkle... I just discovered your channel and I have to say I really enjoy your thorough declutters... Most declutters I have seen people are like I like this im getting rid of it and then move on to the next one and dont talk about the formulas of stuff much... I find its always nice to have an idea of what kind of formula something is
These are my absolute favorite because I find some great pallets I want to try from your collection and I add to my lists AND when you declutter some that I’ve been holding onto for no reason I feel like I can let them go to. I watch these over and over refining my lists. PLUS you have exceptional lighting and I can see the true colors not pictures that Ulta or the websites show. THANK YOU!!! I hope the next one is soon!
I love when you do your declutters! I purchase products off your recommendations. You talking about each palette is sooooo appreciated! Thank you so much for these videos! ❤️
Clicked on this the minute the notification came in . I personally love watching the longer declutters but these are good too. Gives you a chance to talk about each palette. I have a very hard time decluttering my eyeshadow palettes. Pulled out a few I never wear and started swatching them and ultimately put them back. I did however declutter all my lime crime and violet voss. I did not care for the formula.
I love your declutter videos because you are so thorough with showing us all the palettes and explaining exactly why you won't be keeping them. I also don't mind the length because I like to play long videos while I'm doing my makeup &organizing & decluttering my own sprawling collection!
Hey Jen! Glad your feeling all better now. And boy, that was fun! At least I think it was. I can’t imagine having so many eyeshadows!! What fun. Looking forward to the rest of that decluttering. ❤️💜💚
The Sigma ritzy palette does have all 5 exact shades from the Rendezvous palettes I’m glad I noticed this while watching as I wanted the rendezvous palette but it only came in a bundle in the U.K. now I can get the ritzy palette and have those shades x
The sigma palettes are just amazing! This is one of the only brands that I didn’t need to wet my brush to get the shimmers to work. Their highlighters and lips are great too.
Me and Lime Crime do not get a long. My eyelids eats their eyeshadow even with primer. You also have the best declutters. My favorite part was the Huda collection.
Hey Jen! Love to see you back at it again, but I hope you're getting enough rest! I've already done my decluttering, but on a much smaller scale. Dumped 6 old palettes; one only had 3 of 6 colors left and they were down to the very corners. I swear I could squeeze a nickel until Jefferson cries! So then why did I go out and get 10 new ones? Cuz I found great ones at super discount from my favorite haunts - Marshall's, TJMaxx, etc. Great basics, things from BH Cosmetics, Catrice, Anastasia,...even picked up a couple of Sephora brand single and three pans (at their sale - what a blast!) Plenty to be done buying for the year. You are a bad influence, you naughty girl! Thanks for all your energy!
I love watching your eyeshadow declutters - for one thing it reminds me of what I have in my own collection that'd I'd forgotten about, plus I see things that I lusted after at the time but didn't buy and I haven't had any serious regret so far which is good! :D
I'm so glad TH-camrs are kind of coming out of the 'it's not available anymore so I'll declutter it' phase. But then again I don't watch the vids from ppl who do this as a job only.
Hi Jen! New subscriber here :) just wanted to say that it would be so interesting to see for the various brands that go "hard pan" how they perform after you scraped the harder layer, and how fast does it take to come back! I know because I do have a few of these hard pan make up but I am just starting out, so not really sure how to behave with it
Wowzers! That's a lot of palettes! I enjoy your decanters because I see palettes I've never seen before, and it gives me ideas for what I may like to try/buy (or not!) in the future.
Enjoyed watching this declutter, so satisfying to see the organization and looking through your collection. You reminded me that I need to use the Pat McGrath holiday palette from this year more, I have it in the back of my drawer because I am using the more Spring/Summer palettes that I have in my collection, but the blue in that palette looks like it will be good to use with some of the current colors I'm using.
I love declutter videos because it gives a chance to see what products hold their value through time. Hope you are feeling better. I had minor symptoms after a few days from Covid but it took me 6 weeks to totally get over it.
I pray your husband is feeling so much better. Funny how we can acquire so many palettes in such a little amount of time. Loved this. Thanks, Jen. Blessings!
Yeah! Makeup museum!!! That's what I've been telling everyone to do, on a shelf with little cards 😆 like a galery, I need to do mine but lazy lol, I hope you will create it like that, it would be gorgeous 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
My favorite kind of Jen video ❤️ I get so much work done while listening to your soothing voice. And that was great to know about the Lime Crime palettes
This was so fun to watch! …I’d really appreciate any dupe recommendations for Marc Jacobs’ Steel(etto) palette - that’s definitely “the one that got away” for me🙃
I literally just decluttered a lot of eyeshadow palettes, and then.... Well, bought some more lol! I just ordered Natasha Denona's Zendo, Lime Crime's Venus XL II, KVD's Planet Fanatic, Colourpop's Smoke n Roses & Rock Candy, Pat McGrath's Bridgerton and Makeup by Mario's Master Metallics! Sooooo pretty!! I love your declutters! I always find a few I may want lol!! Thanks for sharing! Love your videos in general!! 🧡💙💚
Great job! I agree with your declutters. There are still some huda palettes I would like I think. Always like to see and hear why people like or do not like certain palettes! Be well.
I do enjoy declutter video. It always puts me into the mood to go through my collection and declutter too. I did try the haus labs brow pencil. It’s my favorite. I know you love it to and wanted to let you know right now haus labs is having 50% off.

Great when you do a declutter I HAVE to put on eyeshadow and I'm literally about to dig in the mud cause I'm building a pond/waterfall. Soooo Too Faced Extra Spicy it is lol.
Smashbox's Punked CoverShot palette is a great alternative to Marc Jacobs Steel-etto. It doesn't have the glittery shimmer but it has a very similar color story and the formula is really nice. Don't let the small size fool you, I've had mine for 3 yrs, use it regularly and haven't hit pan on any shadow yet

Any suggestions on fixing a hard pan? I haven't figured out a solution yet. I have gently scraped the surface with a spatula, but it doesn't seem to work. Are they just bad shadows with no fix?
I do need to get some more use out of that Pat McGrath Celestial divinity palette. There’s some beautiful light and bright colors in there that I can pair with my more muted selections like the Natasha Denona glam palette.
I kind of feel like there’s so much similarity between the new nudes palette and rose quartz that I don’t need both of them and I like purple looks more than all Rose looks so I think I will be holding off on rose gold remastered and the new nudes. I do want to bring out retrograde to play with rose quartz and see what I get. Hooley really does have a great formula for these larger pallets. I wish it carried over to the smaller nine pan pellets because I just didn’t feel the same about the one I got last year. The mats are fine but the shimmers are blah.
Really like you collection and declutter videos 🧡 Your nailpolish is so pretty, it looks like one if those from the new Clionadh Dragon Fruit release 🍑
@@JenPhelps Thank you, I will look it up 🦩😊 Ok, I just did and they do have a beautiful selection of shades! I actually have lots of nailpolish already, but those sparkly duo- and multichrome colours are soo tempting! 💖🌈

Just been catching up on some videos I missed due to moving and thought I'd throw it out there in case you haven't thrown these out yet.. if you really enjoy the huda formula why don't you depot your 9 pans and shuffle them around to create some travel palettes that you would actually use. I do this with broken palettes and palettes that have too many similar colours xx
My nail polish in this video is ILNP Pink Flamingo! amzn.to/3vBrtOv
I get SO MUCH info from your declutters, Jenn! It's really so helpful in making purchase decisions.
Love the longer "going through my collection" videos. Once you completely declutter your collection, I'm going to rewatch them back to back.
I love these types of videos because I get to see brands I’ve never heard of and real life views of how palettes look. Awesome declutter Jen! I love watching this series! So glad you're back. Missed you girlfriend!
You have no idea how much I enjoy your declutter videos!

Thank you so much, Jen!

Always a joy to delve into your collection Jen! Perfect with my Sunday evening 🍷! Tfs as always 😘
You have absolutely made my day. I hope you have a great day and are feeling better.
Good morning sunshine! Your declutters are my favorite!!!
Wow, what a memory you have. Well yeah it's your job and you are very well qualified. You did good with this decanter. Job well done.
I like how you do your declutters, info is so helpful
i like your declutters because you actually open and look at the palettes and swatch things you like. Must be time consuming but thank you!
The Ciaté palettes are amazing! I have and use both. They are the Italian formula. Ciaté, like Huda, uses two different formulas.
Hi Jen! New subscriber here :) just wanted to say that it would be so interesting to see for the various brands that go "hard pan" how they perform after you scraped the harder layer, and how fast does it take to come back!
I know because I do have a few of these hard pan make up but I am just starting out, so not really sure how to behave with it
Sometimes you can use tape to take off the hard layer (less messy than scraping it off) but some of those formulas it comes back again.

Love long declutters, just watched one that was over two hours long, it takes me a couple of days but love them. Tfs, your voice really relaxes me😊

Wow that's terrible hard pan on the Venus palettes! My Lime Crime palettes are old af and luckily still work 🤞

-Huda Beauty Rose Gold Remastered Palette sucks when you use a setting spray with it
- HUDA Beauty Mercury Retrograde Palette is my favorite spring and summer time palette
- BH Cosmetics BFF Palette I'm still testing it out
Jen, you NEED to try Looxie Beauty shadows! They’re insanely affordable and excellent quality-including their duochromes.
A few of the Huda palette's are tempting ! :-)
I love theeeeese!!!! 😍😍😍
If you have hard pan you can scratch the surface and it’s good again once you remove the top layer.
I felt the same way about Lime Crime!!
Great when you do a declutter I HAVE to put on eyeshadow and I'm literally about to dig in the mud cause I'm building a pond/waterfall. Soooo Too Faced Extra Spicy it is lol.
I've had the same problem with Limecrime. Not buying palettes from them anymore.
Ill comment on this one in hopes you see it but hardpan is just oil's from your fingers or brush that turn hard. Some formulas are more prone to it like lime crime but just scotch tape the top and its brand new!
Any suggestions on fixing a hard pan? I haven't figured out a solution yet. I have gently scraped the surface with a spatula, but it doesn't seem to work. Are they just bad shadows with no fix?
I sometimes scrape them too but they just go right back to the way they were before. It's frustrating. :/
I have never had luck with any lime crime eye or face product. The lip products are very good though.
