The young crop of defencemen playing in the NHL today is quite remarkable, and Dahlin is perhaps the best of them (although Fox, Hughes, and Makar are equally entertaining). Hope he continues to develop and can help drag them into the play-offs soon.
That Hail Mary to Cozens is so fucking good. Casually sauces it half the rink OVER A GUY'S HEAD while SKATING BACKWARDS and it lands right on Cozens' tape in stride... So hard to generate any pop when you're floating backwards like that. Insane.
The first play in this montage was easily his best of the season. Watched that live just for fun since it was hockey day or whatever even though I don’t care about Buffalo. Was amazed then and still amazed now
dahlin got 100+ points season in him if he can convert on more chances, shot needs to get more snappy and accurate, and sometimes he chooses to pass away opportunities instead of just doing it by himself.
i wish dahlin did more by himself, sometimes he is passing away plays he created - for the pretty highlights.. instead of just steaming in on goal to score.

that's the thing, it feels like he's not even close to his full potential. Scary
This could be a career comp and all would be wowed. But its all from one season. One.
I'm really hoping that Lindy Ruff decides to make Dahlin the new Team Captain. He deserves it!
