I'm 65 and my nephew turned me on to them a few years ago. It is so good to see that good music is still alive. I hear so many echoes of bands I've loved over the decades (Zeppelin, Yes, Rush, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Metallica) and at the same time I hear something fresh and exciting!
Coheed are consistently amazing...no album they have ever done has been a let down....Ive had the pleasure of seeing them live once...one of the best gigs I've been to...
What I love about these guys most is I find they have so much range when it comes to the feelings they can make through the sound of the guitar, the buildup and climax is so graciously in tuned. And Claudio is an absolutely amazing singer, now a days vocals are run through the ringer until they sound nothing like the person but he still sounds perfected recording quality
I know you may never read this but I've been a fan since I was 16 (11 years ago) and I just wanted to say thank you. Coheed is a criminally underappreciated band. Their 3rd and 4th albums were the sountrack to my 20s pretty much. You guys deserve so much more credit than you get, from sheer musicianship to the depth of most of your music, all incredible. You really hit your stride with Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV. Love you guys.

This is one of those bands that when people give me shit for liking them I just laugh at them. These guys create varying dynamics in breathtaking ways, while an astonishing number of bands have no idea what "dynamics" are. I'm super excited for their next album!

The lyrics used to be very different on the second verse anyway, he was constantly changing it because he didn't know which part of the story he would tell at that section.
yeah I have to agree with the other replies on this comment; I think at this point the song wasn't really finished so there was a fair bit of altering and re-arranging that happened before the finished product we have on the No World record. If you noticed, there was essentially no second verse before the bridge so I think that came later on.
