The Spaceman Effects Delta II offers optical Harmonic Tremolo and a fresh feature set that explores the dividing line between swirling harmonic and classic tremolo. Rather than just one effect or the other, the Voice toggle selects how a pair of LFOs modulate. Various frequency bands and whether the dry signal is involved, produce a wide variety of swishing vibe-like tones or rhythmic patterns. Choose High and Dry, Highs and Lows ( typical Harmonic) or Low and Dry. But there’s still one more unique feature: the Lag control which dials the phase lag between the waveforms. When they line up, you get tremolo and once you introduced lag a whole new world of rhythmic possibilities opens up. From there, you get total control of the standard parameters like Speed and Depth via the dials or exp control and Resonance to enhance upper frequencies and those swirling Harmonic qualities.
As a bonus, holding the relay-true bypass switch while powering up unlocks 4 multi-speed modes which are divided up into the Lag control. If you thought Harmonic Trem had swagger before, just wait until you try one LFO with normal speed while the other runs at half or double the speed.
Like all Spaceman effects, the Delta II is handmade with high quality components and tidy circuit layout that’s ready for space travel. Check it out at Spacemaneffects.com

I came for the tremolo but left impressed by the Gemini IV Dual Fuzz Generator.
Still the best pedal demos on TH-cam. Andy is the G.O.A.T. 🐐
That intro had me wanting to surf, but like really super slowly. Chill surfing, if you can dig it.
Happy to hear that, thanks!!
Surf Noir
That Rev, sounds sooo sweet. Awesome intro tune.
Best pedal reviewer on YT. Super detailed with the tech guitarists care about, actually shows the pedal settings in real time (gasp!) and tries out a variety of guitars. And an amazing player to boot!
Much appreciated!!
Very cool! I love gear that makes the familiar fresh again, and I think this one does that.
the OG pedal reviewer. right here
Andy needs to put out an album of instrumentals. Like a best of.
Very impressive demo, thank you.
You pulled some unbelievable tones out of that thing.
Never tried a Spaceman pedal but I might have to change that.
Oh my gawd. Exactly what I need. And I have that reverend descent.. thank you so much, Andy
Best analog harmonic tremolo I have heard on TH-cam demos!!!. Organic and very versatile!! Even better than Jam harmonious monk at the same price.
Always a great display Andy. Thank you. That pedal really makes one take notice. Also the Reverend is sweet. Tucson, AZ.
Cool pedal SPACEMAN ! Thanks for the amazing demo Andy ;-)
Spaceman makes great pedals, enjoyed the demo.
Sounds cool with that Jazzmaster. Liking those Retroblast Reverend pickups.
Thanks, it’s great to have alternative pickups here! I’m digging those RB too 👍🏻
When that blue guitar comes in
👁👄👁
Another amazing demo, Andy!! I’m listening to this on repeat.
Tremelo is like Fuzz, they all essentially do the same (similar?) thing, but all have a unique character. This one sounds really cool, and totally tweekable, but there’s something to be said for simplicity? Still dig my Flint…
Absolutely, my favorite was built into my ‘61 Tremolux
Damn that baritone sounds so sweet with the Delta II!
It’s a stunning match for sure!
Best demo on this pedal. Ordered me a blue one. thanks Andy!
That Rev baritone... man... I want it so bad. And the pedal. Maybe one day.
Looks like a TruFi Colordriver back there…love that pedal.
I can't believe how many great harmonic tremolo pedals exist today. Hard to choose
I know! I love my Walrus Monument, but this is cool as hell!
Yup I got the Jam Pedal one, and this one!
And Landreth is responsible for all of them
which one do you prefer?@@RPSartre01
Exactly what I needed!
Andy, you make this pedal sound sooo good! I should have asked this long ago, but have you released any of your own original compositions? It seems like you always hit a sweet spot of unconventional innovation with your playing that really speaks to me.
Hey thanks for the kind words, I’m so glad you dig the tunes as well! I just have enough time to make these songs in demo format. At the moment, this is my way of sharing with people. Thank you!
Harmonic Tremolo is so hot right now. It's like Derek Zoolander at his peak.
Man that Baritone sounded sweet. Nice pedal, sounded good with the Daily Driver and the Jazzmaster.
Loved that outro jam! Loved your slightly off-kilter note choices for the lead part as well, or is it a cover?
Thanks so much, all originals in this demo!
i love your playing
This sounds amazing - whereabouts in your chain did you put it? NEVER MIND - saw the updated description. Thanks for the great demo!
Great sounding pedal. Kind of odd timing for a release date when "Due to overwhelming demand, the Delta II are currently unavailable on
backorder. We are making more and will reopen orders as soon as possible."
Sounds great! Now, as with any other tremolo pedals, it would be nice to get stereo out. Or is it really of interest? Anybody can jump in on this…
That would be a great feature, wouldn't it?!
Never actually thought of it before.
It's one of the reasons I love my Source Audio Vertigo.
Ok it's all DSP but you'd never know it. Only thing it won't do is wet/dry (no analog dry-through), but it's kinda made for stereo.
Andy demo'd it back when it was released, during his PGS days.
This is a brilliant question. I have the Fulltone Supatrem-trem2 and it’s great. But after years of thinking trem could only be best in true stereo, I now believe (for most, but not all applications) trem is a more powerful and intense effect in mono (or at least with phase correlation at zero on a stereo pedal). The Spaceman trems are so musical. The Voyager 1 is my go-to for triangle or square wave optical trem. But the Delta 2 is my absolute favourite out of 5 trems on my board. It is incredibly amp-like.

Try your modulation set to one channel in your stereo signal chain.
You can get a cool ping pong effect as one channel goes in and out of phase with the other
@@vincentkovacs3275 Thanks very much for your suggestion. Do you mean like a ‘wet-dry’ scenario? I have a Magnatone Style vibrato and a phaser which I run into just one amp. I personally find these two effects are more powerful configured this way.
I knew I shouldn't have clicked on this video 💰💰💰
Hey Andy would you be interested doing a video talking about what bands you played in growing up? My bet is you did grungy stuff!
Hello Andy, or anyone who reads this- what is the song that's played on the baritone, starting at around 9:08?
Hey! That’s not a song just me noodling. Thanks!
@@AndyDemos Oh wow, thank you for replying. I really thought it must have been some classic song. I guess that's why we love to hear you play!
@@weseektheholygrail Thanks, there was a tiny bit of the bass line from Riders on the Storm but the chords are just a chord progression that sounded good to me 👊💥
@@AndyDemos That's cool, Riders on the Storm is actually one of my top 5 or top 10 favorite songs, and the main reason why I am interested in this pedal. But the chord progression you played there is just as inspiring! Have a good night!
I don't understand why pedal makers use knobs that are impossible to quickly look at and see what settings you have dialed in. I have literally no idea where depth rate and freq are set in most of this demo and there's an up close camera on the pedal. Come on now. My Jrockett Dude is the same way. Sounds great though, but on stage I know that'll be frustrating.
Yep, you have to mark it with a piece of tape or a sharpie or something. Look up the teisco fuzz, plain white plastic knobs with the little point flat against the plain white enclosure. Meaning the knob just blends in with the pedal and looking at it from an angle you might be unable to see where the point is. Even worse when it's dark bc the led is super bright. I had to take a sharpie to it.
Trem is one of my fav. effects ,I've got a bunch of them .I'm really starting to dig my new Cusack with the rate /ramp switch which is what I think you were going for with the Delta. But the reason I'm commenting is I pulled the trigger on a Schaller knowing it would at least be an investment ,but hoping it would be a holy grail type of find .So far not so much it's kind of a one trick pony the amplitude knob is like on or off.it's very choppy and hates any kind of gain in front of it .even the pre amp in a memory man .I did just start splitting the signal from the mm for a wet/dry and am getting kind of a harmonic vibe that I can at least live with .Would love to know any thoughts you might have on the matter. I didn't like my Tide water at first either found the trim pot now I love it .Any way Love your vids every pedal I've ever bought I at least check your demo first : )
What Jazzmaster is that? It isn't listed in your gear list and I see Fender on the headstock.
Thanks, I've updated the description! That's my Ultra Jazzmaster in mocha burst. I had Black Bobbin in Chicago put their special Lollar pickups in and a Mastery bridge. It's now a Super Ultra JM :)
Can I ask: what is the distortion pedal you click on at 7:26? And is it after the Spaceman in the chain?
Sorry, forgot to add the extra pedals in the description. It’s a Shnobel Daily Driver and it’s before the Delta, thx!
Does anyone know why Sweetwater doesn’t carry this line of pedals anymore?
👀🤟
Getting Arctic Monkey vibes from that opening jam. Pedal sounds nice.
Similar to the VFE Old Skool trem?
The VFE doesn't do Harmonic tremolo, just traditional amp-style trem which the Delta can do as well when the Lag is back. Thanks,
Andy
AndyDemos ppp
Perhaps "Delta" isn't the best choice in names right now. Anyhow no dynamic trem control? Nah. I wish they would have just made a Voyager II adding the harmonic trem element. I'll stick with my Voyager I.
Can't understand why anyone likes this kind of effect ... to each their own, but it sounds awful to me. It sounds like a headache.
Tremolo is the very first guitar effect! Isolated in a demo, it can be very dizzying but that's just to show what everything does. Most people tend to use it in a more subtle approach.
Thanks for watching!
@@AndyDemos Thanks for the reply. Love your work.
I don’t get the polite reply, Andy. I’d rather just insult the person who doesn’t like an effect category I like. I mean, have you learned nothing after so many years on TH-cam?
