Love Pink Floyd or not, this seems to be an excellent solution for me. I have too many boxes and patch cables lol. I've tried a lot of Modeling devices and returned all of them through time. I get that it's convenient and all, but still not the sound I want. This Pink Flow is all analog in which I prefer. I can also hear that it can do a lot more then just Pink Floyed tones. This is now on my bucket list, and hopefully will get me outta this rabbit hole iv'e been in for the last 35 years lol. Great demonstration on what this pedal can do, thank you.

That's very cool. With so many people trying to get these sounds so often, having a unit built directly for it is great. I think my only complaint would be that it's a little difficult (at least looking at it on a screen like this) to keep track of which footswitch is which effect.

      LOL
How can we compare the two?
One is digital with 4 effects, the other full analog with 6 independent effects.
The Dark Side does not allow to use the delay at the same time as the modulation (WTF ???).

This is super cool. But you can get an axe fx2 for the same price, maybe a used one. And I know the Axe fx is digital but that thing has infinite sounds plus sound patches that sound exactly like whatever band/song you want. Still, this is a cool ass analog pedal. Still, 1000 for 6 pedals essentially is kind of expensive.

For y'all who like to use batteries, I use a Mission Engineering Power 529 USB Converter with an Aukey 20,000 mAh USB power pack battery. It can power several effects even if they don't take batteries, you just plug the pedal cables into the Mission 529 and plug it into the Aukey, and the Aukey can fit in your back pocket and the Mission in the other, I have mine with my effects in a metal briefcase.
If you use this with something like a Roland Cube Street and a Goal Zero Boulder briefcase solar panel and a Goal Zero Yeti Solar "Generator" you can be 100% off grid in the woods.

Just got one of these a month ago but haven't seen this review until now which is a shame as it might have speeded me up! I did um and err as wasn't sure about having an expensive one singe big pedal. But I took the plunge and best decision ever. For me it works perfectly. Plus the cost factor needs to be addressed. Its actually too cheap! To get that flexibility and level of pure delicious tones with a power and connectivity simplicity (so nothing goes wrong) would cost thousands. This does it all but you can easily add something to it where you want to add it easily too. It really is a marvellous piece of kit. My only thought is its a mistake even to market it as a "Pink Floyd" pedal as it just isn't that its uses can be so wide and varied and may have put some potential users off. But hey what do I know, Jam seem to have it sussed, they certainly have their sounds sussed, they make many other "boutique" sound - i dunno the word - dare I say "mediocre" maybe?

For less than 1/3 the price I own a Korg Toneworks AX1500G which I purchased new early 2003, you can find used for around 200$ in good condition, is amazing and includes a wah pedal and has an auto-wah effect. The other five switches/pedals allow to toggle between two effects each. Look them up, TH-cam has several reviews and sampling videos. One I really love is RobzFreak channel video : Cab Sim ShootOut AX1500G VS Behringer UltraG for lead sound
Zoom, Line 6, Mooer and Boos seem to be the only others with half-reasonable units these days. I suggest shopping around thoroughly before investing in any pedals.

    • @gedeon_teuzemany
      @gedeon_teuzemany 2 ปีที่แล้ว

You know: somebody who wants analog effects wants ANALOG effects, so....
      And THIS is handcrafted.
We all know that Line 6 and others exists. If we are here, it's because we don't like digital multi-effect for lot of us.
If I buy all 6 pedals separatly (from Jam), it's 1300$....
So it's a good deal, but you are not interested. That's all.

    • @russtyruss_i-Invest

@@gedeon_teuzemany yeah bud, depends on what each individual wants and can afford. You don't even know me and what other equipment I own lol I like the Korg because of the cab sims and the wah, I have other analog pedals. I also have a Boss BR1600CD console with other effects you won't find in other pedals. To top it all off I even have a PG Spark besides my Fender Deluxe 85 dual channel...and multiple other equipment which would take another 45 minutes of my time to list. Anyway, your personal choice I respect, respect mine. My point was not everyone wants to dish out 1500$ for a multi effect pedal even if it's entirely all analog and/or handmade, nor does every guitarist need to have all those analog integrated pedals. You may easily find that most guitarists use about 10-20% of their pedals regularly while the others are used for specific sounds in only a couple of songs. Angus Young, no pedals lol
If you can afford it and you're happy with it, great! I watch a lot of reviews and enjoy sharing my experience 😎

It is really a beautiful analog pedal solution, but for the price (or cheaper) you can achieve quite similar results with a combination of pedals and/or some digital multi-effects solution.

I get the idea of saving money compared to buying all the pedals separately.....but that has 2 major disadvantages. 1 the pink flow limits you to the Jam Pedals effects it provides. I think by far most guitarists have / prefer a variety of brands of effects on their boards. 2 In case any given function of the Pink Flow should malfunction and you need to have it repaired...you immediately lose acces to all the other effects.
