I saw Dumb Money last night... It was entertaining and definitely worth seeing, but not as good as it could have been, IMHO. It downplayed the extent of the scope of the crime of Wall Street. It made Roaring Kitty look more lucky than smart, which was annoying to me, since he's super smart IRL. (Watch a few of his videos where he talks about his portfolio, and check out how well-researched everything is. His DD was monumental.) It doesn't point out that this crime is ONGOING and affecting many small companies and more importantly, the pensions and retirement security of hardworking Americans. THESE BILLIONAIRES ARE STEALING FROM REGULAR FOLKS, AFTERALL!!! The movie should wake folks up and make them angry enough to do something, instead it just entertains them. I am hopeful that the movie that will eventually be made about AMC and all of us will be much better. If it's done right, it could be one of the best David & Goliath movies in the history of the world. And we'll all be there in our Lambos. 🚀
part of the problem is regular people using platforms like robin hood when they should just use online banking platforms and pay the very tiny trading fees. In Canada it's around 9 bucks per trade.

My main issue (not with the movie) is how we see these movies portraying real life economic scenarios we live through like The Big Short and Dumb Money and they both end with captions basically saying, "And the evil rich bad guys got away with it still"
Everytime I hear Ray talk and I say this with a lot of love.... I often wonder what planet you're living on half the time because all of these things are so famous and so well-known and you're like I have no idea what's going on LOL
To be fair he probably meant that he didn't know anything about the stock market? Not necessarily that he hadn't heard of it. Everyone's heard of the stock market but doesn't know really how it works or what it's really all about.

Glad to hear. I love this type of movie and trust your judgement on it. 2023 was a good movie year. I'm afraid for 2024 given the strike.
Yeah that’s something not a lot of people have been talking about. 2024 is gonna be shaky considering movies can’t be filmed right now.

This one was high on my list since i saw the trailer. Love Paul Dano and Craig Gillespie. Glad, though not surprised, to hear it's really good.

Have anyone watched Jawan yet? OMG!! What an experience. The theatre was packed even on weekday. No wonder why it's having the highest per theatre average in the last weekend. Shattering all box office records left and right. Go see it. It's an experience

It's more akin to Vice than big short...style wise
margin call is the only stock movie worth watching. big short is a distant second
Sorry I’m off topic, but why didn’t you do an out of the theater reaction to The Equalizer 3? I think it’s a fantastic movie and doesn’t seem to be getting quite the buzz it deserves.

It never ceases to amaze me how critics love films that the normal film viewers hate & never make me. Not even making back its measly 30million budget.
