My review of the "AMAZING" An Avatar's Chronicle - th-cam.com/video/WSOO9lelNv0/w-d-xo.html
I had a quick look. First point for sure would be thumbnails, it took me far to long to realise how important they were myself, but you need to have something there that draws people in. So just leaving it as a random shot from the video is rarely going to draw people in.
I take the simple and clear approach with my thumbnails. For reviews chapter number right there and a notable point from the chapter as the image. With my Avatar videos I feel they kinds of stand out as Airspeed's videos because of the style of the thumbnails and the colours I use. White and Light Blue are kind of my channel colours since they match my logo. And I tend to use the Slayer font a lot cause it is similar to the Avatar logo. Try and find some way to make your thumbnails unique to you.
Beyond that I would suggest in the early stages focusing in mainly on one series and once you have an audience there begin to branch out a bit. For me I led with Avatar as it is what I am most knowledgeable and confident about and gradually brought in stuff like SAO, Naruto and a bit of Star Wars. I try to be very careful about not being too scattered across too many series.
That is just some thoughts on the presentation. I will watch a few of your One Piece reviews and give you some feedback on the content when I have a bit more time..
Well I really want to see Izumi's daughter. I bet Zuko spoils her.
Based on the line at the end of the opening page "and the family I hope you one day make for yourself" I don't think Izumi has been born whenever this is set.
This is where stuff like Mai and Zuko still being broken up seems to impact everything, this book I don't think is important enough to be the book that confirms Mai is Izumi's mother so we just get nothing on that front. I would love this book to confirm this, since it seem pretty obvious, but they have been broken up since 2012 and we have still never got confirmation about Zuko's endgame ship.
@@AirspeedPrime I know not in this book, but sometime I want to meet her. My head canon Zuko spoils her a bit.

@@matheus5230 Not quite. Gene Yang at a panel a few years back very vaguely said that they get back together in a few years or something like that, which we cannot really put too much faith in given that he is not writing the comics any more and until we actually see them get back together in official content we don't know 100% for sure.
Plus for something as important as a key relationship between main characters we shouldn't have to rely on unclear convention comments to know where things stand. This is like being happy with that jokey line from Mike and Bryan about Sokka and Suki living happily in the suburbs.
Maybe zuko got back together with Jin.

I know Aang adopted some of those familial norms characteristic of the Water Tribe when he got together with Katara, and that these norms have found their way into the rest of his progeny, but is that really an in-character line for someone brought up on traditional air nomad philosophy and culture?
Good point! But just because Air nomads didn’t have family doesn’t mean they didn’t want to have one- it’s interesting that Tenzin’s air nation doesn’t split up the family like the previous nomads

Yeah, the art is gorgeous and definitely the highlight of these books so far. The letters that have come after Avatar Legacy have felt increasingly meandering in that they have to sort of go around in circles to get a point across, but can't really say much. So yeah, the art has me excited, but I'm still not sold on purchasing any of these yet.
The letters still need some work perhaps. But read the last phrase of Iroh's letter to Zuko about Ozai: that is beautiful and totally something that Iroh would say
@@matheus5230 For sure. And I don't mean to say in any way that this guy is a bad writer - I think his style shows that he's a very skilled and adept writer - he just doesn't seem to have a lot to work with in terms of material to actually write about.
Did it say what happened to ozai and azula after the war?
Wow, actually, strangely I hadn't really considered buying this before (since I haven't really been interested in buying any of the Chronicles books), but now I'm thinking I probably will. The art is just so cool, and the teaser at the beginning talking about his relationship with Ozai and what Zuko might not know (if I understood that right) sounds so interesting. Even if they have to keep it a bit on the vague side like the other letters I feel like it will at least have to tell us bits and pieces of their relationship growing up, which right now we have zero feel for at all. I also assume there will have to be a Lu Ten page which would be really nice. The letters Team Avatar are writing to Iroh, eh, I agree they aren't that exciting, but then, I guess they feel kind of odd in general in that isn't this book supposed to be from Iroh to Zuko? I'm more interested in finding out about Iroh's relationship to Ozai and maybe some things (however vague) about Iroh's history. We'll see though. Honestly, I feel like I could just get this book on the strength of the awesome artwork alone, it's so cool getting more official art of the gaang when they're older.

The jett life It was never stated in the comics that Zuko and Mai NEVER married. If you’ve read Smokes and Shadows, you will see that Zuko and Mai are implied to get back together after she breaks up with Kei Lo. And besides, Izumi resembles Mai quite a lot. More than Zuko.
Do you think Iroh and Ozai reconciled after the war?
Well it has not happened so far in the comics and really does not look like it is going to happen any time soon. Until Ozai changes I don't think there is any reason for Iroh to try and open up to Ozai.

Do you think Zuko and Mai end up together because they never confirmed her as Izumi's mother?
I think they end up together because of ATLA and what they have done in comics like Smoke and Shadow.
