- Finally, another arrangement of Yorushika is here!
This time I arranged Yorushika's latest song, '春泥棒(Spring Thief)'. It's been a long time since I've arranged their songs, so I was excited to work on this one when the MV was released.
I thought the most important point of this song was the contrast of the dynamics: the verses are very quiet in comparison to the choruses. I tried to convey this into the arrangement by leaving the verses as simple as possible.
It seems that a lot of artists who haven't been uploading a while are releasing new songs for the new year, and I love it! As much as this song was a pleasant surprise for me, I hope you enjoy this version as much as I did :)
P.S. Like my other arrangement, "Ghost in a Flower", I hid some parts of other Yorushika songs in this one too. Try and figure them out! ;)

The perfect mix of originality, accuracy, and mood are all encased in this splendid arrangement.
I love how you moved some passages into the higher registers which gives it a sparkling feel.
When that run of 'That's Why I Gave up on Music' hit, it reminded me of the first time I saw your video, and all the work you've put in since. Ghost in the Flower has to be one my favourite melodied of all time, and that insert right at the end really gave me the chills.

Thank you Kraken, this is such a heartwarming comment. As you've already mentioned, I put in snippets of other songs to "celebrate" arranging a Yorushika song which I haven't done in a while. I'm glad that you noticed the sparkling feel, the part at 1:35 was meant to resemble raindrops (as in the MV)! As for Ghost in a Flower, I thought about inserting the song before I even listened to the 'lick' at 2:59 lol. Anyways, thanks again for enjoying the video so much!

I see you've taken some liberties to sprinkle parts of "That's Why I Gave Up On Music" in!
Very interesting, and very nicely done as always. I feel that the arrangement is more calming and more... solemn... than the original song, but maybe that's just me. All in all a wonderful arrangement! 💯
Speaking of which, do you have any plans for some older Yorushika songs? There's one called "Deep Indigo (藍二乗) which might be tricky and has few covers, but seeing how you've masterfully handled similar titles like "August, A Certain Person, Moonlight" maybe you can make it work (only if you want to, of course).

The first time I didn't listen longer to this arrangement than a minute. Now I "accidentally" left it on and damn, it's amazing.
4:15 - 4:22 is that from another Yorushika song? It's incredible, I love it
I really like how you emphasize the intensity of certain parts such as 0:49 being calm and simple just like the original song then 0:51 where its just where the drop starts just like in the original song. I really like covers that emphasize the best parts of the song (drops, catchy parts etc) same as the original song. Other covers of spring thief for me didn't really capture this part 0:51 imo except for your cover and this is probably one of the reasons why i keep coming back to your yorushika covers. Of course, throughout the song you nailed the melody. Other cover i enjoyed from you was "Thoughcrime" in which i think is also the best cover for that song throughout my searching in youtube and i also enjoyed "Thats why I Gave Up On Music" . Pls do more yorushika covers in the future :)
