    This topic is such perfect timing! I tend to cram so much writing time into a few days then get burnt out sooo quickly and then discouraged lol. So thank you so much for talking about this as I’m trying to figure out a good routine!

    Great episode, girls. What I do in Scrivener is view my draft as a scrivenings, which is the button to the left of the corkboard. It turns all those documents into one continuous stream, so you get to keep your flexible file structure, but you also get the total word count drip-feeding dopamine as you write 😅
    Happy writing and hope you're feeling better 🤧

    Abbie this is a video idea that i've seen you kinda do before but could be for either Abbie or Kate's channel. I remember when you made the writing routine videos and they were very inspiring! Maybe you could do writing vlogs like that, day in the life of an indie author. I know it's really simple content and not necessarily telling us how to write but it is showing us an example of what doing writing full-time indie could look like.

    Thank you so much! This is so helpful! I struggle a lot with finding time to write and get annoyed if I didn't write that day.

    So for me I don’t do chapters, though I will mark where the scene changes.
    What I do is change the font to match the characters voice for my first draft manuscript. For the brain dump (thank you Abbie) I will use comic sans because it doesn’t feel official or permanent.

    This was so helpful! Thank you so much, I always seem to have a habit of saying that I'n going to write today, but then all these other things come in and I end up not writing. :)

    Being a night-owl. I usually do my most writing at night. When most are in bed or busy with family. This way I have less chance of being messaged or called. I'll put on an immerse video and it helps me get in the mood. Especially, with the "Otherworld" immerse video with amazing music to write with. This video is going to help me with making a better writing routine, cause during the day I am all over the place if I try to write. Distractions, procrastination, you name it. Thank you Kate and Abbie.

    This was so amazing! I'm a homeschooler, and I have other things in my schedule, and I never thought I had time to ever write, until I watched a similar podcast from you guys about making time for my writing. Thanks to you guys, I write way more than what I used to when I started writing. Thank you guys so much, y'all are the best!💛💛💛

    I have a question, would it be a good idea to have one pov character in one book, but throughout the series the pov character changes?

    • @hollyslaski2217
      @hollyslaski2217 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Absolutely! I can’t tell you how many series I’ve read, mostly in the romance genre, where the main character changes with each book. And the consistency of the series is not impacted by the changing of the characters.
