Thank you. Excellent video explaining how to prepare and protect your camper roof. Is it holding up ok?

I am thinking about using Eterna bond tape on my RV. I question using the tape around Vents and such. It could be difficult to change out fans, Vent caps and such. If you need to replace one, it might be impossible to remove the tape without damaging your roof.

I agree with you. There is a “proper” way to remove the tape but as always there is possibility of damage. I never went back and did the vents. And I am hoping to not need to remove it lol.

Dude, you gotta us a ROLLER to apply pressure on Eternabond tape to fully activate the sealant and push out any tiny air bubbles and such. It remains active for some time and flexible, so you can still go over it before winter ;)

I went over it pretty good with my hand. No issues.

@@firesideweekenders Glad it is okay for now, but you need substantial and all-over pressure to activate the PSA

@@jjclarkson3261 Dude, using hand pressure is just as good as using the roller. It's basically preference. There are bunch of people out there who only used hand & finger pressure and have it just fine.

@@SSMWRX11 Not really. The tape uses PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive), which means ONLY parts of tape that have gotten pressure will activate and adhere properly.
Although 'theoretically possible' to use fingers and press every single square in of tape, it's like leveling concrete with your fingers instead of a screed.
This is the main reason to use a roller. I also use my hands and fingers- especially in uneven areas. But not exclusively, that's asking for trouble.

@@jjclarkson3261 We are talking about a tape here and it's not so complicated as you are making to be and concrete vs finger was a bad comparison. Your hands and fingers will generate even amount of Pressure to "activate" PSA, if it didn't then the people who didn't use the roller would have had bunch of problems. But, I guess not.

How long in total did it take you? We have the same trailer.

Couple of hours because I was recording but it’s not that bad at all. The biggest pain is moving the ladder lol.
