    Looks awesome man. One piece of advice I can give is to look at getting some fly screens installed, even Velcro’d on, to save you getting mauled if you’ve pulled up somewhere where they’re thick! Also means being able to escape flies etc to have your meals.. also grab one of those little battery powered bug zappers as they work well and you can leave them on at night and get some sleep. Hope it helps! Can’t wait to see what you get up to 👍🏽

    i reckon if you are sleeping in it up the coast look at a insect screen for the hatch and netting for the door nothing harder than sleeping with that buzzing in your ear nice rig

    Awesome upgrades mate. I’ve got a similar style seat on the passenger side, it’s such a game changer with the fridge underneath.
    Looking forward to catching up with ya up the coast. Next time I’ll see ya will be on the Sunny coast

    Tip... Don't muck around with those Ford slimline bearings if your going on a big mainland trip.
    You can bet they will give you grief somewhere along your travels, most likely far from the nearest replacement location and when needing assistance.
    I know its a big experience but your trailer needs to be paramount, I'd be dumping those complete axles, rims and calipers and be installing axles with Landcruiser hubs, I'd go with the 6 stud variety, specially now you'll be carrying a lot more extra weight.
    You might think carrying extra bearings will be enough but once that axle stub is scored and compromised from an exploding bearing your rooted..
    Been there done that....😂😅😂
    If you don't think it won't be a problem at least carry a good grease gun and keep the grease me up to those bearings.
    You need High Temp Grease with Molly 👍
    Don't be fooled by using that so called marine grade shit grease, its a gimmick..
    Good luck.. looking forward to seeing more.

    Mate fantastic. I own a 2018 7000 southerner, and in June/July this year I am doing a 5 week trip of the north of WA. I look forward too seeing what’s working and what isn’t, and you have already given me so many ideas of stuff to look at. But a few questions. Did you address the leaky live bait tank and if so what did you do? The scuppers, did they leak and give you grief? Have you done anything to sort that? I will have mine going in to change the scuppers very soon. But if anyone were to ask me is yellowfin worth it? I’d say 100% yes, they ride well they look great and for what you pay you get a lot of boat. I’m really looking forward to your next adventure. Eventually I want to do a round Australia trip with my boat in tow. That includes Tasmania cause you trips look epic, and this hopefully will help with the planning

      Hey! I had a leak, but it was actually from the flooring down to the tank. The tank also had broken off a few mounting plates from the west and tare. The scuppers have filled up with rubbish a few times and I’ve had to clean them. Just a Phillips head to dismount them. Definitely do your trip!!

    Good luck with the trip. Not sure I'd like to be a passenger on a long run in rough conditions - sitting sideways or standing behind the box in the elements :/

    • @TascastFishing
      @TascastFishing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks mate! In transit in rough weather passengers have always stood on the deck and held onto the top railing. I don’t think it makes much difference, you just lose a spot up the front :)

    Mate the radio would had been better somewhere else, a padded back rest sitting on the day bed and looking back at the spread would had been better.
    Captains seat box could had been extended or replaced with longer box for rear facing seat so fridge would go inside with lift up lid on seat.
    Had similar set up years ago.

    • @TascastFishing
      @TascastFishing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We’ve been using the extra cushion from the foldable box for the back rest, works a treat. Nice thought for the fridge area.

    Should have went to Reel game boats & trailers for the modifications. The modifications inside seem a bit cheap and Half done to me but aslong as it works I suppose
