I don’t know much about the suspension but I bet it’s the same with a few tweaks. So no it’s not a 5th gen Cummins until they release a all new version.

When loading your machine If you roll right through the pivot point it will be a lot smoother. When you stop and wait for it to drop now you’re transferring that momentum to your trailer and pickup. So don’t stop just keep moving forward.
the key to good driving drive safe for your condition that you are in . when my uncle taught me how to drive his semi truck he said forget what is behind you and pay attention what is in front of you . the truck i learned to drive in was a 1956 kenworth with no front brakes on the front axel only the two rear axels had brakes . it was fun .the kw had a 275 horse 743 cid supercharged cummins with a 5 speed main and a 4 speed brownie. the nick name for that particular engine was iron lung. be safe out there

I think you’re in the right trailer for your truck, especially if you get the super single axles save on some unsprung weight when you tow, they hydro tail does have a tendency to bounce with a “loose” load on the tail not like it’s a locked into the deck with bay bales you’ll most likely get some bucking in the truck, just an fyi, I’m sure if you cross layer bales from the deck onto the tail it will make it less likely to happen
I love the guys that move stuff with lowboys when you got guys like this that know what theyre doing i mean moving 308s and bigger on pickups is some real deal hauling. Id trust you anytime

Great video, and I agree, I learned to not give a Fu¢|< about the traffic behind me while pulling 6K gallons in a 7K Gal smoothie trailer. Nothing like 50K lbs wave to slam you around, 😂. The guy who trained me also taught me to use the jake brake as your main brakes on all terrain, unless not weather permitting.
Thank you man, ya I still have to tell myself at times to not care about it. Ha Ya I’ve driven a few steer trucks and just 4K gallons always hitting you sucks lol And you’re completely right. Use them Jake’s before you ever think about touching the service brakes. 30k miles on my truck as of now and as you’ve seen lots of towing and my brakes are still less than 1/2 worn.

Been there before, and had to push the rear of my trailer over about 15 ft to get out of a turn around that was to tight. Bet your happy you have 4wd. I’ve had to get real creative with my work semi and step deck dove tail trailer to get out of situations like this. Also, brother you are dead on about not give two shits about people following you so close going down the hills. I have been driving Semi now for 23 years now, and it took me a long time to understand that , you don’t worry about that people behind you. Safety is our responsibility. I haul 100,000 loads and I just take my time and do it safely. I just laugh and let all the super truckers go on bye me. Love you videos.
Lol keeps the work entertaining for to keep you on them toes once in a while. And yes haveing 4x4 is the absolute best thing to have, that’s why if I ever get a “tractor” it’s also going to be 4x4 or 6x6 cause of the areas I have to go into. And same for me even now sometimes I get that I’m in the way feeling when people are on my ass but I just crack up the tunes and do my thing. I can care less. Appreciate your support! Drive safe

if ram would get out of the dark ages they would put in an eight speed . my ram as a 6 speed and the firest 3 gears go no where and then the next 3 gears are so tall you have to run it like you stole it .the 8 speed would be perfect. v8 need the 10 speed because of the shorter stroke.this is my opinion
For all the hype of the higher gear sets, I’m personally happy with the 6 speed, doesn’t shit a ton just holds gears and takes off. Dang 10 speed on the Ford you hit a bug on the hwy and the truck needs to down shift to sustain its speed. More gears the better though don’t get me wrong, hopefully hey work up a good operating system
Pretty sure you did not need 4x4 for that.. shit my four wheel is busted right now and I haul an old Zeeman 32' deck over with my 2012 dually 3500 megacab through some nasty shit out here in Hawaii.. just sayin

@@13rbridge lol You’re good ya I’ve been meaning to do a video like that not sure when I can get to it, However so how I get 54k combined weight rating or gcwr is from my GVWR on the truck and trailer. Trucks rating is at 14k lbs and the trailer is capable of 40k lbs Add them two up and you get 54k GCWR or gross combine weight rating If your trailer is 29,500 rated with a 14k truck then you would be good for a 34k tag Things get more complicated when you start talking axle weights and tires ratings but for example legally my truck is rated capacity of cause of my tires my truck can weigh 26k lbs by it’s self

Respecting other peoples driveways with out digging or washboarding their gravel goes a long way.
I have used gravel pullout and you do a lot of sliding and that not fun
