Very interesting, especially the idea of raising the keel and getting close to shore ready for a blow. That's what we do in our cruising dinghies in the UK!! An inspirational video.
I admire people who sail in cold climates. I get cold easy, don't like cold weather and get sea sickness. 65 degrees F, Sunny and Dry with a 5mph breeze is my kind of weather. I've read Shackletons voyage from Elephant Island to South Georgia Island in a tiny cramped boat and think what tough characters those men were. Compare them to the Protesters Demonstrators of today.
Great video Skip! One of my first memories is being in a sailing boat comming back to Ushuaia and it was probably yours!
Two of everything and being a good engineer, wise words.

I hope in the near future to be able to realize my dream of sailing on your boat
Must be willing to take risks, because if you dont you will never go anywhere or do anything.... ~Skip Novac

The vessel does not have an interior steering wheel. It would help in poor weather.
What a life sailing these remote places and having an intimate knowledge of local conditions. That is the love of the sport.
Skip, do you have some kind of a program where enthusiastic sailors can join your boat for short periods of time on some expedition?
If you pay
Yes he does. Google Pelagic Expeditions.

The Southern Ocean is the Everest of sailing.
