"How much of a story can there be" is exactly why this was such a hard series to ship, and why One went and just did it himself. With really awful art. And it blew up and became one of the biggest hits ever.
One originally just made it and then murata(manga artist) find it a good story so he probably reached out to ONE and he now is working as an artist for the manga of one punch man.
@@Crazael I don't feel he's a great hero but he is the idealized/noble hero someone who knows he won't win, won't fix the issue, but is willing to buy time for another hero who may be able too. It's like how hard is it to be a hero when you know you're going to win or go unscathed vs possibly being maimed, crippled, or killed with there still being a greater chance of it failing or not working out at all but knowing as long as you step up you can live with that result vs not ever stepping up at all? Sort of like the survivor guilt many suffers with because when the chips were down they were too scared to play, he was willing to pay with no guarantee other than maybe something good will come from it. It's like how that one guy that mentions after the fight what's the point of the hero if he fails, which to be honest is true, but what we all secretly hope for is that such sacrifice isn't in vain.
That was totally accidental Kings "true ability" Its also the 3rd hint after Saitamata's own words to Crabbmite, and Dr Genius' What? to Saitama's monologue about his regiment not being the point on why Saitama is Monstrously strong and durable after his obsession to be a hero that can beat any foe in 1 punch
The final moments of Boros were supposed to make you realize something. Saitama saw himself in Boros, someone who had grown so strong that fights weren’t exciting anymore. Boros, like Saitama, was searching for the fight that would exhilarate him once more. That’s why Saitama didn’t fight back for a majority of the fight. He was trying to give Boros the exciting fight he had been searching for. In the moment before Boros unleashed his final move, his heartbeat sounded off just like Saitama’s did during his dream in episode 1. Boros was finally excited during a fight for the first time in who knows how long. Saitama realized this, and out of respect for Boros, unleashed his “killer move” as well. During Boros’s final moments, he realized that Saitama was trying to help him re-discover that exhilaration he was looking for.

I love this anime,Manga of this series is definition of the word ”masterpiece".. They focused on Saitama in the first season but later every other side character got their own moment, side characters in this story are strong but Saitama just warps the whole powerscaling so they look weak...

Class A rank 1 Sweet Mas isn't weak or pretending .. He is legit S-tier in A class and the guys he was talking to most of them were there before him. That's why he went to check on Genos when he got promoted. He is legit gatekeeping. The association actually treats him as an unofficial S class and he monitors everyone that shows potential including our boi..
Most stories show the growth and development of the hero, showing him building his strength. OPM is different -- Saitama is already basically the most powerful thing in the universe (which comes into play many many chapters later). For him the challenge is in trying to feel the thrill of a fight again, like he did in the dream sequence of the first episode. So the growth and development is mostly in the characters around him. Saitama is the Deus In Machina. The challenge for the writers is to keep the other heros and population in the dark about his abilities.
Boros' final scene is a very sad one, but not because he dies, he actually was the winner as he got the true challenge he was looking for, The scene is sad for the music, the dialogue and Saitama's walking away because he's the one that lost "looks like you can't trust prophecies, huh?"
Boro's wasn't actually a winner at all, he lost completely, he was just able to enjoy the fight and found satisfaction in the competition, at least until he realized that Saitama had held back and had not given his all.

Well aside from Saitama, but Mumen Rider is the only hero who cares nothing about the pay they give him. He's like the perfect hero to represent C rank as well.
The last eight minutes of S1E1 one of my favorite in all of anime. The animators are just completely showing off and the intensity of the music is just so energizing.
2:09:00 She has telekinesis. The method she used to bring the meteor was rather simple in concept. She pulled a chunk of rock from space and brought it down on the exact location the living fossil was standing. It's actually incredible if you think about how much precise control she would need to kill the monster but not completely destroy the area. Edit: Forgot they explained it later on... Should probably stop writing comments while watching the video xD
Yeah, it's crazy to think how much reach she has with her abilities, how much control, and aptitude and etc I haven't read the manga but I've peaked certain images and I understand she's definitely on a tier of her own-- different from the more normal superhuman level S class heroes like Atomic Samurai or Bang She's so cool, she inspired me to want to make a character like that
Tatsumaki’s full power is honestly even impossible to measure. Even though in the manga, she showed absolutely everyone why she was the Humanity’s Greatest Weapon just on the fact that her psychic abilities are out of this world and unleashing her powers literally consists of having an entire landmass just absolutely be ravaged while still not being on her full power. Those moments of hers were absolutely godly and she still is growing stronger and stronger.
My bro was tempting fate with that "I like mean women" declaration. Wife simultaneously ticked off, relieved and worried thinking about other mean women she may have introduced you to in the past. 🤣
Ok, two things: 1) The basis of the story from the writer is what happens if the main character in a manga starts as strong as a hero would be at the end of a manga. Ultimately the story is about his struggles with having no challenges, as well as the stories of the side characters. A really important part that a lot of people miss though, is how he treats others. Even folks who get their butts kicked before he shows up, he supports, cheers them on and gives them praise. He ACTS like a hero to heroes. 2) The house of evolution scientist in the manga does give a kind of explanation of why saitama is as strong as he is. It involves a bit of a scientific explanation I'm going to summerize but basically, when humans exercise, we get stronger by getting close to our limit, ripping our muscles, which grow back stronger. (In other words, no pain no gain is legit. If you stop exercising because you are starting to hurt, you basically wasted your time because those painful periods are where you're actually going to get stronger, to a point). However, humans generally have a limit to how strong they can get in a period of time, which is why the fitter you are the longer and harder you need to exercise for lower and lower gains. There's diminishing returns. Saitama doesn't have that restriction. Something about his body makes it so he is 'always' getting stronger every time he moves. The act of breathing is in fact making him just a little bit stronger. It's why his routine made such a difference to him, that wouldn't have had the same effect on a regular person. Basically, like how saiyins get stronger whenever they get hurt, he gets stronger just for existing. He's goku cubed.
There are 2 things in this first season's finale that always awestruck me for some reason (despite knowing saitama's absurd power).. 1. Literally second half of the saitama vs boros fight happened on the roof of the ship (means outside) and no one from the heroes realized or heard that there is a battle going on like crazy? Imo you have to be deaf to kinda miss that. 2. Saitama's travelling back from moon. I know this may not strike to many people but he seemed like he came back to earth almost instantly after getting kicked to moon (lets ignore the fact that he didn't just explode from holding his breath). But the thing is if he did, he literally travelled at speed of light to travel back to earth since light takes 1.3-1.5 seconds (as far as I remember). This feat itself sets him at an unreachable bar in opm universe (like I said saitama's power is absurd). Great reaction video. Hope to see more.
@@seekndstroy2560what has point number 1 got to do with saitama’s power? Or were you simply stating an observation? I also agree.. how did no one below the ship hear the battle going on above? Also why did saitama break out from the ship at the end near tatsumaki’s location? Wasn’t he already on top of the ship as he was walking away from a dying boros?? He was already outside and could’ve jumped off the ship instead of blasting his way out lol
Power Scaling doesn't seriously apply to comedy series either though. It's fun to imagine how things can go within OPM universe, but it's significantly less interesting to think about ever putting him up against anyone else from another series. Generally when you power scale it's between less powerful characters that are somewhat close. There probably isn't anyone in another series that could beat Saitama just because of how ridiculous they animate his feats. Like the strongest form of Goku can't do half the crap Saitama does because the people animating Dragonball were never as talented as the people animating OPM S1. It's kinda like an unspoken law. It's more fun to think of something like Dan from street fighter versus batman or something closer to that level than it is Superman versus goku or something close to that level. It's never been considered fair though when you throw characters like Popeye into the mix because he's very much an equivalent to Saitama. He's over exaggerated to the absolute highest extreme they could imagine at the time for comedy purposes.
Another fun fact the “Titan” in the first episode in the English dub is voice acted by the same English voice actor who voices Eren Jager in attack on titan
It's probably been already said but Lord Boros's remarks are actually really sad... Not because of his situation but because as strong as he was he found someone even more alone then himself & even after giving his life couldn't even bring any kind of joy into Sitama's life even for a moment...
The premise sounds ridiculous at first but the story architecture of One punch man is simple and brilliant. A lot of people are accustomed to the idea that for a TV show to be successful it needs to have a mind twisting brain puzzling storyline but OPM is just the story of a really strong hero who can defeat anyone with One punch this leaves the audience with so many question. You may not realize this but you guys were just wondering what will happen if OPM punches himself or is there a villan who can't be killed by one punch(which there is actually a villan that takes OPM multiple punches to defeat). Anyway the show just shows the average daily life of different characters it really doesn't need anything subliminal or foreshadowing.
It's more than that. See, most of these hero stories are the journey to the point where the hero gets super strong. OPM is what happens when you already arrive there, and guess what, he's bored out of his mind. Ultimately, the conflict of OPM is far more esoteric than most direct "hero vs. villain" stories--it's really not about the monsters or the villain leagues or the fate of the world, etc. Those are all just the window dressing. It's about things like depression, trying to find purpose in a mundane life, is it more important to enjoy your job or be doing a job that helps others, and other more, well, down to earth topics that ONE (the author) is so good at addressing. Things that a office worker would think about. The thoughts you have while staring at the salad dressings in the grocery aisle, or while doing dishes, or while trying to study for a test. Superheroes that can fracture the planet and villains that threaten all life on earth? Not the point of the story, really. Ultimately, we know those are the problems that are dealt with, or will be as soon as Saitama sets his sights on them. But that's not the conflict of the story. Saitama's life story is far more prosaic.
Just so y’all know Amani mask is honestly stronger than the bottom half of S class, he’s more than capable in Advancing if he wanted but he’s a gatekeeper. Also he’s not evil or anything he’s just 150% about justice and will kill any monster.
I don't agree. How he responded when the alien ship arrived shows his character. He didn't do anything, only showing up after the threat was removed and then critisized all of the other heroes who responded and made the effort. Him being the top of his class makes him a gatekeeper, but the only one to benefit from that his him. If he moved up to class S, it would give others a chance to grow. "Gatekeep" is not an oficial title or responsability as part of the hero association, it is something that he does to satisfy his own ego. S class heroes do not need him to do that. He is not about justice, it is all about his ego.

The origin of Saitamas suite is explained in one of the OVAs for the first season (the first OVA I think). Although I don't think it explains it being so durable, just gives the background of where it came from and why he uses it.
The explanation at the end of the series is probably a better explanation considering most of the attacks Boros does are planetary annihilation attacks. xD
The series is interesting because it's not a typical superhero story. For everyone else is typical hero / badguy stuff. But for Saitama is his journey of life and regaining his "humanity." It's the reason for art style change. When he looks all dumb it's due to a lack of feeling and boredom. It's only when he is excited that they draw him serious, because he himself is taking it serious. They touch on it more as the anime/Manga progress. But just because you say your the strongest doesn't mean you are, there are definitly bigger threats out there. The fights are entertaining but the drama surrounding Saitama is masterclass. Can't wait for you guys to watch the rest.
Saitama can control his shockwaves like how he redirected them around Geno's and blew out the mountain behind him during their sparing In this case the shockwave was directed to split the Energy Blast and Saitama made no effort to not hit the "marble" (Saitama can hear people screaming for help in the next city,he heard the Heroes below and was avoiding the "marble" when trying to tire Boros out)
@@FrarmerFrankyou both are purely wrong in this case though. Boros did not die sue to the shockwave, he died due to using all of his energy/life force into his final attack (just like he said before the attack), he meant that attack as suicide attack to kill him and Saitama, because he wanted it to be his last fight. also Boros doesn't have a "marble", that was the ship core, the ship core is fueled by his energy, that's why it broke when he died. If I remember the ships core location is above his throne
It was pretty obvious Boros died from running out of energy because he didn't instantly die at any point. He was still talking to him up until he died. I'm also pretty sure Boros is probably a Saiyan Parody from DBZ.
"These people deserves to die" I've never been more frustrated hearing that. That'd only cause chaos, and the enemy can easily take advantage of that. I mean hell, have you seen how fast that guy was? What's the point in regular humans running away, especially having ran to where they thought was safe? It's like saying to run away from bullets.
This is the first video of you guys that i've watched and at 2:15:00 i told myself "that guy must be a dad" and turns out you do have kids, lol. It's amazing how having a kid really change someone's reacting on children in distress. Back then i used to cringe whenever i see a baby or a toddler cry and doesn't want anything to do with it, but after my daughter was born and becoming a dad whenever i heard cries of baby and little children even on a screen my parental instinct instantly kicked in and i just want to jump into the screen and gave them a hug 😅

1:02:42 The hero association was created 3 years ago after the grandchild of a millionaire was saved from a monster, the grandchild is big chin brat from ep1 so Saitama is the reason why hero association was created. The photo of the millionaire Agoni also has a big chin so it is genetic. 1:27:00 The earth in OPM universe is a different Earth from our. There is only one huge single continent and separate into city A to Z. What Saitama did to the meteor is not only break it apart but also kill a lot of its initial momentum. If not, even a single small piece from the break can still annihilate a city. If a meteor of that size, with the momentum from space crash, not only city Z will be completely destroyed but the whole surrounding area. That is why there is a theory that meteor able to cause the dinosaurs to go extinct.
It's not known if it is a different Earth. To get into potential spoilers (not particularly important, but you don't find out for a while) . . . . Sweet Mask states in the webcomic that the world has been changed drastically by catastrophic wars and the emergence of the monsters and other beings. It's possible it is just supposed to be Earth in the far distant future, not a different Earth.
Didn't expect me to watch all of this but i enjoyed it all!! Thank you guys for the reactions, yall are lovely and hilarious. I love how Steph predicts so many things! Big brain fr
i know im a little late but theres reasons for the art switch ups! The original webcomic is written and drawn by ONE, who is not that good at art and uses a generally simplistic style The manga version that the anime is based on is drawn by Yusuke Murata and based on ONE's story in collaboration with ONE. Yusuke Murata is one of the best artist in the industry rn who uses a super detailed style but he often uses ONE's simplistic style for comedic effect (like Saitama's normal face and his serious face)
Late to the party, but here's something nobody seems to mention. The city that Saitama lives and fights in is a mostly abandoned city called "Z-City" (cities are just named after alphabets in the OPM universe). Z City is known as Ghost City because it has become mostly abandoned by people throughout the years due to the greatest increase in mysterious creatures/villain population in the world being seen appearing on this city. It's like a literal "hell hole" for a lack of a better term, due to how many and how often monsters pop up there. The upside to this is that if you are willing to take the risk yourself, you are allowed to freely live in the buildings in the city tax and rent-free and only have to pay for consumption stuff. This is why Saitama lives in that city. Because if you recall from the first episodes, he is jobless and has no stable income. Since his hobby is hero-ing, there is no lack of enemy encounters and he doesn't need to pay for rent. There's also the lack of people around that would become collateral damage, most of the time at least. Genos reinforces this fact because Genos insists on being a "Cyborg of Justice", and thus he will not destroy a town if it will cause deaths in innocent lives. And Genos fights freely in this city after using his life-detection sensors to scan for any would-be collateral damage.
from "he defeat enemies by 1 punch? how are they gonna make that interesting?" to "i cant believe this show is making me sad and fulfill at the same time" never judge a book by its cover i guess hahaha
The reason saitamas so strong by doing regular workouts is because he broke his limitors basically meaning he surpassed his physical human restrictions
The reason for Saitama's insane power can be inferred from a lot of other things mentioned here in season 1 and in the season 1 OVAs (which you should also watch). Crablante became a crab monster by obsessing over (and eating lots of) crab. Super Custom YO649Z Mk. II (from episode 1) became a car monster by being obsessed over cars. The Titan of the two brothers (also from episode 1) because a giant because of his own obsession with becoming strong, as well as his brother's obsession with giving him his wish. Speed of Sound Sonic gained his speed because of his obsessive need to be the fastest and strongest and most skillful ninja alive. And many others throughout the series became monsters and/or gained superpowers because of their overwhelming obsessions. It seems to be where most monsters and most superpowers come from. Their obsessive drive ends up breaking their humanity apart and mutating them, giving them powers (and for monsters, becoming nonhuman freaks). Basically, Saitama became the most powerful being in the universe because of his obsession with becoming "the strongest hero." His obsession broke his humanity, mindscrewed his human emotions, shattered his natural limiter, and gave him nigh infinite strength, speed, and durability. But since he focused on his need to become "the strongest hero" specifically, in situations where he's not fighting enemies or showing others that he's incredibly powerful (because why be a hero if you can't flaunt it?), he can be bested by insignificant things, like the mosquito in episode 2. It's part of the series's humor, this insanely powerful being that gets humiliated by literal insects.
Saitama's constant exercise caused him to erase his limiter, meaning that he no longer has limits, so his strength will not stop growing along with his speed and stamina, etc. meaning he is literally unlimited in his everything he is simply broken
There is an post credits scene after one of the episodes which explains Saitama's power - essentially, Saitama broke a natural limiter every living thing has. Everything has a different set limit, and Saitama's just happened to be a very basic training regiment. Other entities would have to perform similar training, but adjusted to their level of power. Since Saitama broke that limit, his power exceeded that of gods.
The crazy part is that the manga is even more in detail. You read some of these manga chapters and just say, those poor poor animators when they get to those certain scenes. I mean even if it done on a tablet, it's crazy detail the artist Yusuke Murata is able to do.
If you look closely during one of the scenes with the bearded guy in hero HQ, it shows a world map and you can see that the world has one supercontinent that every city is on. The shape of the continent is a real supercontinent that scientists have suspected could have been one in the distant past. It's called Saitama lol
Fun fact! The prophecy that boros followed was never connected to saitama! The prophecy was meant to be for Blast, the number 1 hero, where the two of them would be equally matched, unlike saitama...😂
Just like that shibabawa's prophecy got demolished by Saitama that seers prophecy of finding an equal rival for Boros got also debunked cause being equal is a far cry, they weren't even close. Lol
Fun fact about Boros, he was the MC from one of ONE's (The author) other stories. He got too strong, so this was a nice way to complete his arc, even if it took another series entirely to do it.
I just found this reaction today, I love how both of you describe it perfectly. The way you describe saitama life as it goes on is perfect, at first it was just funny, then it is a life lesson. The manga is getting better and better too. Thank you guys, I spend my weekend nicely
The reason Sitama looks different at different times, is that teh artist only shows him as awesomely drawn ewhen the character himself gets SERIOUS about fighting or teh challenge. it is a stylistic choice that represents teh characters emotional mood.
About the clones, I would get along with clones of myself since I know that a clone of myself would have some small level of subservience to the original, or to the one known to be the eldest of them all if I'm no longer around, and thus would do all they can to protect them. Not only that, I know that clones of myself would end up in basically a whole family and work to differentiate from each other and do their best to understand and take care of each other's mental health, since that is a major concern of mine even now.
1:18:12 Keep in mind that this story was written in Japan, the country that still has fax machines cluttering its offices. They really do be like that over there.
The series is a satire of anime tropes. Instead of "I must become stronger" it's "I'm too strong." It's also why everyone overexplains their backstories. It's every anime trope either subverted or turned up to eleven.
When I first encountered this series as a badly-drawn web comic I liked that the story starts when most mangas end. Usually they start weak and get stronger and stronger until they can punch universes into dust by the end… And that’s Saitama at the beginning of this story. What now, now I’m overpowered and the world is nothing but starter-difficulty and no threat, it’s just no fun anymore. And second, in any other manga/anime Genos would be the main character, but he consistently gets wrecked. And nobody realises they’re secondary characters, everyone else is in a normal power-creep anime, all except for Saitama. And at the end of the fight with Boros, in the English translation of the manga his last words were not ‘you had strength to spare’ they were ‘you never even bared your fangs’. I just found it more emotional myself, but it could just be me.
1:23:10 that look of horror as they realize Saitama is eating the Seaweed part of the monster. it's not dead, btw, but it lost all of the seaweed tendrils
Fun fact: Boros is form the author other manga. He made him too strong in that universe. That's why he appeared here to powerscale Saitama in the story :)
fun fact, the original manga chapter for this fight has boros shear of some mast on top of his ship and try to nail saitama with it, before it got retconned to moon punt also genos needs to get a body made of saitama's gloves, it's the only way he won't keep getting his ass kicked
Essentially he broke his limiter giving him infinite capacity for growth so if he encounters something stronger than himself he’d just grow stronger than it and basic training makes him so strong that after a day of training he can one shot himself from the day before
The reason saitama failed the test was because he answered punch it to all the questions lol. Like “if you saw a monster how would you handle it” Saitama answer: punch it lol
Fun fact: the creator of the hero association created it because sitama saved his kid, the big chinned kid was the founders son.

"How much of a story can there be" is exactly why this was such a hard series to ship, and why One went and just did it himself.
With really awful art.
And it blew up and became one of the biggest hits ever.
Not exactly. He did a web comic with One Punch, and only planned on a short series of stories, but it blew up, and took it to where it is now.
One originally just made it and then murata(manga artist) find it a good story so he probably reached out to ONE and he now is working as an artist for the manga of one punch man.
@@Gunnin_yadown thought you made a joke by saying he went "one to ONE", I read it wrong
It isn't awful, its just incomparable to the Manga's art, but most art is incomparable to Murata's strokes.

Kings "true ability" Its also the 3rd hint after Saitamata's own words to Crabbmite, and Dr Genius' What? to Saitama's monologue about his regiment not being the point on why Saitama is Monstrously strong and durable after his obsession to be a hero that can beat any foe in 1 punch
During Boros’s final moments, he realized that Saitama was trying to help him re-discover that exhilaration he was looking for.
not the kind of respect he would show again considering he blasted Orichi apart while saying he has heard of that stuff so much he got tired of it.

Boros' final scene is a very sad one, but not because he dies, he actually was the winner as he got the true challenge he was looking for,
The scene is sad for the music, the dialogue and Saitama's walking away because he's the one that lost "looks like you can't trust prophecies, huh?"
Boro's wasn't actually a winner at all, he lost completely, he was just able to enjoy the fight and found satisfaction in the competition, at least until he realized that Saitama had held back and had not given his all.
@@vanhattfield8292 Boros got what he wanted. Of course that is a win. While finally finding what he had been searching for, Boros made it clear that it would be even harder, if not impossible, for Saitama to find what he was looking for. It's a sad moment for Saitama.

Mumen Rider is quite literally the only hero in the entire association who is a hero to be a hero without wanting anything in return.
Well aside from Saitama, but Mumen Rider is the only hero who cares nothing about the pay they give him. He's like the perfect hero to represent C rank as well.
The last eight minutes of S1E1 one of my favorite in all of anime. Let’s just say the animators that came together for the various parts of season one are insanely famous, and there was no way anyone could afford them for season two.
Yeah, it's crazy to think how much reach she has with her abilities, how much control, and aptitude and etc
I haven't read the manga but I've peaked certain images and I understand she's definitely on a tier of her own-- different from the more normal superhuman level S class heroes like Atomic Samurai or Bang
She's so cool, she inspired me to want to make a character like that
Tatsumaki’s full power is honestly even impossible to measure.
Gokubed, if you will.

Vaccine man is piccolo in both japanese and english as well.
@@spamhere1123 to sum it up in my own words, a super hero story that isn't about hero vs evil, but the person behind the hero vs every day life
Love the fact that saitama was still holding back against boros just to give him the fight he wanted
@@vanhattfield8292 🤡if others move to class S being not stronger than him they gonna die🤦 don't you heard when saitama was moving to class b, executive were talking about how hard b will be, so imagine S ranks mission

I’m pretty sure Amuai Mask is a monster, who hates monsters. In the hero association arc final battle he either gets split in half, impaled through his eye, or gets his head chopped off I forget. But he comes back alive and regenerates. I think that’s why his name translates to “Pretty Mask” or sum like that. He’s a beast for sure though.
The origin of Saitamas suite is explained in one of the OVAs for the first season (the first OVA I think). Although I don't think it explains it being so durable, just gives the background of where it came from and why he uses it.
Tailor said it was special material used for military applications (likely tight weave armor)
Wes's reaction to Mosquito Girl's intro scene was hilarious
I appreciate your making this. Haven't seen many good One Punch Man reactions.

Fun Fact: Saitamas Serious Punch against Boros didn't even connect. He killed him just with the blast.
Saitama can control his shockwaves like how he redirected them around Geno's and blew out the mountain behind him during their sparing
In this case the shockwave was directed to split the Energy Blast and Saitama made no effort to not hit the "marble" (Saitama can hear people screaming for help in the next city,he heard the Heroes below and was avoiding the "marble" when trying to tire Boros out)
@@FrarmerFrankyou both are purely wrong in this case though.
Also a common missundertanding about Saitama is that he didn't have to use the Serious Punch he just wanted to

That is why there is a theory that meteor able to cause the dinosaurs to go extinct.

predicts so many things! Big brain fr
i know im a little late but theres reasons for the art switch ups!
The original webcomic is written and drawn by ONE, who is not that good at art and uses a generally simplistic style
The manga version that the anime is based on is drawn by Yusuke Murata and based on ONE's story in collaboration with ONE. Yusuke Murata is one of the best artist in the industry rn who uses a super detailed style but he often uses ONE's simplistic style for comedic effect (like Saitama's normal face and his serious face)
The stories that entangle themselves with saitamas plot is what makes this manga/anime so good. Season 2 is just as brilliant.

The shot at 20:45 is insane, that slap split the earth and the clouds
Bicycle Man is the friend we made along the way.
Crablante is the definition of the phrase "You are what you eat" LOL
The crazy part is that the manga is even more in detail. You read some of these manga chapters and just say, those poor poor animators when they get to those certain scenes. I mean even if it done on a tablet, it's crazy detail the artist Yusuke Murata is able to do.
I’m only on Episode 3, but watching y’all slowly realize that OPM is a comedy dressed as a Shonen anime is amazing
When Wes said "I like... mean women."
I felt that.
Saitama was the passerby that saved the guy’s grandson who started the Hero Association😂
Lol

Was funny when she went from "Can't they just get along?" to "Who the F*ck are you!"
Fun fact about Boros, he was the MC from one of ONE's (The author) other stories. He got too strong, so this was a nice way to complete his arc, even if it took another series entirely to do it.

Tornado is definitely a match for Saitama… In another way👀

I am enjoying this quite a lot, thank you for reacting to it.
steph's face when wes asked how realistic this was i can't😭13:43 😭 that was so funny
You two are great. I lost it at the "make a Saitama face! " loll
Good job not splitting it into many parts, dope reaction, love the content
They say he failed the written because every question he answered “I’d punch it” 😂
2:00:45 i love it when Stephanie gets mad at characters...😂😂
Fun fact: Boros is form the author other manga. He made him too strong in that universe.
That's why he appeared here to powerscale Saitama in the story :)
3hrs 💀 and I stayed for it all that’s crazy
16:55 This is where anime gets educational: All mosquitos that bite are female.
I love this channel. You guys condense all episodes in one video. I love it!
I love how you guys drop like half of the series in one go love your channel
This anime is the perfect Satire for anime, it points out and laughs at every anime trope in the least hacky way possible.
fun fact, the original manga chapter for this fight has boros shear of some mast on top of his ship and try to nail saitama with it, before it got retconned to moon punt
also genos needs to get a body made of saitama's gloves, it's the only way he won't keep getting his ass kicked
'How much story can there be' indeed Steph.. Indeed
Wes: "Genos can probably can breath in space, he's a cyborg."
steph: "ThE sPaCe IsN't!"
💀
1:29:30-timestamp of this happening....
Your witty banter makes the reaction videos much more interesting.
in *ONE PUNCH MAN: ROAD TO HERO* it shows young saitama getting his super suit from a kind taylor that was in debted to him
Essentially he broke his limiter giving him infinite capacity for growth so if he encounters something stronger than himself he’d just grow stronger than it and basic training makes him so strong that after a day of training he can one shot himself from the day before
When you think there is no plot involved but the surprise comes afterwards❤️🔥
The reason saitama failed the test was because he answered punch it to all the questions lol. Like “if you saw a monster how would you handle it”
Saitama answer: punch it lol
