I love how even the “community” knows Mask doesn’t care for his villagers but it also seems like he has a hold on them as well cause they could have just sold to someone else but she gave a look like she HAD to give him Raymond. Yes he’s got the money but you can tell she did NOT want to give him to Mask. I wonder if others have seen how he works and avoid him👀 I’m too invested💀

I watched this with my 6 year old because she loves ACNH expecting this to be a cute short and she ended up crying and I was left without words.. Great animation and story portrayal but I was definitely not ready..
Plot twist: gas mask dude is actually really nice and looks after all his villagers really well and gives them a fully decorated yard all to themselves.

Coming back to see this video after seeing the clips in the feature length movie. Suzy's reaction after relinquishing Raymond to Mask was left out in the movie. The pained expression and not wanting to address the bag of bells on the floor really feels like Judas regretting his 30 pieces of silver. Goddamn. Bravo. This really is done so well and you deserve more recognition for it.

The amount of care and love that goes into each frame of this video. I like going through animations frame by frame to see the hard work that goes into these and caught a wholesome message by Densle at 0:28. New Leaf started making the game more about aesthetic over gameplay and personality building. New Horizons took that and ran with it. As much as I love those games, they lost the essence of Animal Crossing.

Coming back to see this video after seeing the clips in the feature length movie. Suzy's reaction after relinquishing Raymond to Mask was left out in the movie. The pained expression and not wanting to address the bag of bells on the floor really feels like Judas regretting his 30 pieces of silver. Goddamn. Bravo. This really is done so well and you deserve more recognition for it.
Plot twist: Raymond is actually living like a God because of how nice the Guy in the mask is, and thus doesn't want anything from you ever again.

The amount of care and love that goes into each frame of this video. I like going through animations frame by frame to see the hard work that goes into these and caught a wholesome message by Densle at 0:28. Had no reason to put it in but I loved catching a a little easter egg like that haha. Also there is so much lore in the group chat. The Migos stir-fry reference. A wife leaving a man for a newsletter. Tom Nook deez nuts joke, and the wheres redd nintendo??? I can tell A LOT of time was put into frames like these that most likely no one will notice lol. The attention to detail is amazing. Can't wait for more of the masked guy!

That’s why I don’t sell my villagers, I just let them leave or if a friend REALLY wants them I let them take them for free. I can’t see myself making a profit off a villager I had a connection with 😭😭😭

@@leogachi- you don’t get money from Pokémon trading. Pokémon trading is just going “I can’t take care of this pet anymore so I need to help it find a better home.”. Villager trafficking is “hey I’m greedy give me money and I’ll give you my first child”.
@@creativecreeper2860 You trade a Pokémon for another Pokémon, it's not rehoming. You also don't get money for AC villagers, you get pixels. The only value or meaning they have is what we assign them on a personal level, otherwise they're useless.

Honestly it's really sad how the villagers get treated in animal crossing, either people bully other because of likely a famous pet or scam people out of there millions of bells, even if the villagers aren't real it's still pretty sad....(great animation btw! )

Since the villagers became bland and repetitive in the new AC, I can't feel any remorse tbh.
Villagers kinda became shallow so people just judge them based on how they look
old games gave them personality, but I still agree it is sad
New Leaf started making the game more about aesthetic over gameplay and personality building. New Horizons took that and ran with it. As much as I love those games, they lost the essence of Animal Crossing.
