I grew up in Baxter Springs Kansas. 66 and 166 crossed in the center of town. I have been to see the Spook Light many times. Galena where the Bordello is, is about 10 miles away.

I was a highway maintenance worker on route 66 from texas/nm border to Amarillo...
    We worked all hours ...
Glenn Rio on the border is the sight of a brutal murder in the 1970's... Just straight north of there across the interstate (66 and I-40 are the same thing in Texas). But a dead body was found... 18 miles east of there is the home of billy ivy... He was accused of murdering a girl and trying to hire the murder of his wifes lover. At the 25mm a woman unalived herself in front of me with a pew pew... At the 33mm a trucker had a heart attack crossed the center line and killed another trucker... 34 a dude on meth driving a cattle truck opened his door and just stepped out while the truck was going 80... 35 a tour buss collided with a k barrier killing 6...
I mean i could go on for hours ...

What happened after he stepped out of his cattle truck? And do you think the gal at mm25 felt vindicated that you were there?

@@EMILYHERRERA after he stepped out.... What was left wasn't identifiable as human at first... I dunno why she felt the need to do that but i had just worked 17 hours and didn't need that

@@mikecook8712 I'm sorry you witnessed that. I've always wondered why people do that, and I think it's to take control of the situation, inflict their BS onto others. Maybe it makes them feel important. That may not be fair, but I've thought about this a few times (have also worked in trauma for a few years and see some difficult things), and the ones who jump off bridges, or like this gal who peeled back her skinsuits while you were there just seem different than the majority of these cases, both statistically, and anecdotally. Involving others is traumatic and cruel. It's got to be malicious. It's not fair.

Zombie Road was part of my generation's stomping grounds, and was definitely as creepy as portrayed. Laurell K Hamilton actually did an excellent job describing the area in a couple of her Anita Blake novels. Unfortunately, it's since been paved and made into a nature trail (the front most part, anyways), and so now there's less spook and more annoyance these days. Lol.

The bordello house is still standing in Galena, KS. And there is a house down the road that was part of the underground railroad. I believe it's on the historical registry. It's has a rich history.

I lived in Oatman, Arizona, and the legend is the Oatman Hotel is haunted. I worked in that hotel for several years and never experienced anything supernatural, so I certainly have nothing tell, but there are lots of folks who have stories of the hotel to share. Some say it's Clark Gable, which seems highly unlikely to me, others claim it's a miner from the early days of the town. There's also been recent rumors that the Grand Canyon Caverns is haunted. Coincidentally, I worked there as well, as a tour guide, and spent much time alone in the caverns and never had a supernatural experience. When I worked there in the early 2000's, there was never any mention of ghosts, from employees, visitors, or anyone. I will say that at that time, there was a change in management, and the ghost story could be a marketing ploy, along with other profit oriented changes that were being made at that time. Loved the vid. Having live on Rt. 66 in Arizona for 15 years, I'm fascinated by anything Rt. 66! Thanks!

Cairo is one of those towns that is pronounced differently (more like care-oh) by the locals than the original city it's named for, like Eldorado (el-door-ay-do.) Both of those Southern Illinois towns are fairly small these days.

5:36 theres a road here in the uk called the A6*6 and I wouldn't drive on it even if my job depended on it!! I'm a delivery driver and I've been past/by that road a few times, but if my sat nav said I had to take that road I'd look for another route, if I can't find 1 I'd call my boss to say i quit!! Just so i didn't have to drive on that road🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ anything with that number I don't want nothing to do with!! Even if it might be nothing, I'll even like a post I don't like if it has that number of likes, just to change the number lol I hate that number!!
