Mrs Bins and I arrived in Sydney on a flight from Avalon four hours before this flight and in the absence of any flight information on the screens, were invited to stand at a certain spot to wait for check-in to open. Soon we were joined by a host of other passengers, so were at the head of the check-in scrum. Once the staff appeared and positioned the queue markers, we were directed to the business check-in. I turned round, and as if by magic found myself standing alongside Mr L.I, who was the only person standing in the first class queue. I made my acquaintance and we had a good chat. Thanks for the advice on using the House lounge and for allowing me to ask you more questions than I had a right to. The lounge food was very good, seats comfortable, and that view of the Fiji A350 was marvellous. As regards to the flight, it was only our second time in the new club class but we found it very comfortable. The captain was very chatty and the crew were friendly on the starboard side of the cabin, but a bit less so on the port side. All in all, it's a very decent service from BA.
It looks like the plane you were on was premium heavy. Normally used on one sector journeys like New York or Singapore, where they can fill the cabin with ease.
Another informative yet entertaining report and another mightily impressive drinking performance - tired as a newt! 🙂 The Club Suites appear to be a huge improvement on BA's previous Business offering (which I had the misfortune to experience once and then avoided at all costs). I'm surprised you didn't mention the annoying FA who it seems talked / joked on the intercom for most of the flight - rather typical of the semi-casual service all too common on BA these days and of which I'm no fan. I couldn't ever imagine anyone on Singapore Airlines or ANA doing that! Keep up the great work - looking forward to your next flight report and tour of the drinks list!
Always good to see a new video pop up - I like your sense of humour! Fun fact - I flew on the same aircraft as you (G-STBK) last year from LAX to LHR. I was is 5A though not 8A - but I did enjoy another nice Qantas First lounge in LAX.
Iif you are not the top travel reviewer in 2025 I will drop my pants in the center of London...... engaging, quirky, to the point and down right educated. Bring on more videos please. Such a lung full of fresh air!
That looked great! A significant improvement which is long overdue. I'd love to know what you do that keeps you flying back and forth to Oz - only doable regularly with J class
When you showed that glass of pinot noir and talked about port I thought hell yeah, that is the way to pour a Grahams ! Sadly not. Good review apart from that ... nice work.
Surprised an FA experienced enough to work the J cabin was upset about you taking pics/video. Surely they have seen it plenty of times or are at least well aware of reviewers and vloggers.
Weird statement, I have flown many Emirates business class on both 777 and a380, never once have not had direct aisle access and had to climb over someone to exit my window seat.
@@pm9601 you've been very lucky. On the Emirates 777-300ER (77W) Three Class Layout 2 Business Class comes in a 2-3-2 layout, and is notorious as being one of the last old style business class layouts left with a middle seat! It's horrible.
Did you like the previous Air Canada ones? Here is the last one: th-cam.com/video/btAdI9iq-sQ/w-d-xo.html and I've got a couple more in the can I need to edit.
Rode this "new" J in December and honestly found it to be super uncomfy. The seat has no padding. It' just mush and not much mush at that. The space is nice, but this seat style has been around for years, so BA is just catching up. Door is ridiculous. Food is barely ok. At the price I paid, I didn't care..,

Pleasing to see that BA has lifted its game. Good, thorough review. Looking forward to that Full English in your next video.
You're a class above the rest. Informative, humourous and with a clear passion for making your videos. None of this clickbait nonsense.
Very well done report.

Always a good day when you post!
“ I can almost smell the carpet from here “.😀😀😀
You know Dan Murphy’s, hooray!
Love the snark in this video, had me cracking up😂
I’m subscribed but these have not been coming up!
Gutted but glad to now catch up!
My favourite Airline channel. Thanks

Hilarious!! Absolutely loved this commentary.

That cocktail on minute 7 reminded me of Boris Johnson!! 😂
The suites are great, we had them on a flight to Boston - rather snobbishly we were disappointed with the old business class on the 787 flying back.

would have loved to have seen the BA crew member blush!!
Great Video as usual, but what happened to the signiture music?
It's having a quiet lie down between staring roles.
Excellent review as always mister ! Are you doing the Heathrow sector from there?
Already completed! And it was as good as ever.
@@loungeindexBut are you going to upload it ?

You video's are very good can I ask what card you use for points
Both BA and Qantas - I tend to run both at Gold level simultaneously.
@@loungeindex ok thanks for the quick reply

@@loungeindex Well then, as you say, I have been very lucky! Great channel by the way, I do genuinely enjoy all of your videos!
Yes the last ac was very enjoyable but maybe try biz class although i have to say its not that bad, atleast not as some
Dahling...nuts in a bag? Surely BA recalls the Korean situation. And a plastic container for salad dressing? Trally.
If only BA delivered this reliably... and had functioning IT systems / customer services.
Until then... #BestAvoided
How about a review of air canada that would be a laugh.

I don't think you can drink that much on a 9 hour flight and still walk off the plane.
Think you need a new mic! Sound quality isn’t great.
European airline serving chilean wine. Is it Brexit revenge?.
I don't think the cabin crew are very good.
This is really funny: "the best of British catering"....as if any British catering could be best 🙂LOLLLLL
