It seems like everytime I see swarm host use at high level, the zerg loses. And often it's because it leaves such long windows of opportunity for the opponent in which they can do whatever they want. I wonder if zerg really has to produce that many of them? Maybe produce like 3 or 4 and use them for harass (with dropperlords?), that way when they are in cooldown you don't have a basically useless army. I feel like mixing in one or two infestor would help a lot too.. I mean, usually the protoss just run when they see the locust, so I feel like having one or two fungal growth available to catch them would be so much value. (would be much harder to play though, but that always feel like a bad excuse when talking about pro players)

Probably not. I had Snipedown in my class (from Halo) who was on a freaking Dr. Pepper can. Most people had no idea and he didn't exactly tell everyone he was a professional Halo player.
I watched the resource counters frame by frame ( , and . while paused) and you're right, there were 4 HT and 3 zealots. 500 minerals and 600 gas up in smoke.

This was poor strategy, not poor execution. He was maxed by 8:30ish. Just set up a wall of static D to level the fight at home. Use the swarm hosts to hit and run base after base.
I'm slowly recovering from that cringe terrain episode we all laughed about though its a shame that war prism stuck for a long time causing problems for the zerg quite a lot
i think is a very bad example of how to use swarm hosts... the key in this unit is the surprise, when the oponent doesnt know were are they summoning locusts

@@atticusbeachy3707 ahh, then do not put any units on the title? Something like "how to pressure zerg" or "pro game with insane aggression" would work to sell the game better. It also keeps you guessing. Right now I know if there is a unit in the title, that race lost
@@madestro Are you sure you aren't under-selling the swarm hosts? They killed two bases and made Protoss retreat over and over. It was the weak economy that killed Zerg. That being said, I understand the misleading title being annoying. If you watched this to see swarm hosts dominate then it wasn't the best use of your time.

i have seen Reynor going terran on ladder and beating zerg alphastar using 2 rax 2 bunkers push. Not that pro micro by him tho ..still!
