Before you do an alignment, put strut tower bushings, In sway bar bushings in that should get rid of your noise

@2:00 - Easy Peasy - put a mirror in front of the lift and you can easily center the car by your lonesome.

Run a string with a tennis ball from the ceiling centered in the lift to help center your car on the lift.
When the ball hits the hood emblem, you’re there. 🎾

I hung a 500 lb anvil from the ceiling of my garage. At windshield level. It helps me center my car when it hits the windshield I know I'm there .

Who's going to stand in front of the car to help him align the ball and emblem? 🤔
Seems like a solution with the end result being the same problem.

I had a broken brake caliper spring on that passenger side wheel. I also had went through a couple of sway bar links. I had chased that spring noise for awhile! Tesla took a mini sledge to the wheel and eventually found the spring. $25 later, including labor - it was fixed.

Hi Randy , It might be a bit of rattle , coming from lower ball joint , unless issue with bushing on one of arms . I'm guessing , that lower ball joint is part of a tie rod end on this vehicle !?! It would be the best to replace both sides tie rod ends , that should solve remaining rattle in front . Unless there also might be worn ball joint/bushing on upper arm . If the rattle now is very minimal = You're most likely very close to sorted out and it won't be difficult . Regards ! Ps : I've just spotted on 6:15 min. of video , that there is also lower arm , so it might be bushing on that one as well .

Hi ! Yes , this could be also possibility ( and quite a bit more costly than tie rod end ) = after all = still entire suspension job will save tons of money , compare to Tesla garage quote .

I have a 2003 Toyota Tacoma that I purchased new and after it has around 120,000 miles or so, a stabilizer bar end link went bad. Once the new one was installed, it still rattled. The alignment shop had to put a little extra torquing in to stop the rattling. You may be experiencing another slight issue or it maybe that it needs to be tightened up a bit more.

FWIW, the Model S is really easy to work on relative to other cars I've worked on--it is apparent that the engineers actually thought about how to make it simple to fix. Unlike my German cars where the engineers endeavored to make at least one bolt that holds a part on totally inaccessible.

Sway bar bushings? Usually when I'm eliminating a clunking front end, I do those as well. Nothing helps renew a front end like springs and struts, but on a Tesla, that could break the bank I'd imagine. Possibly that's already been done with the miles and all.
