Other than the fact that John Browning had little to no involvement in either the original prototype or all the modifications after his one and only involvement in designing the pistol, pretty good information on function. The original prototype is the design of Dieudonné Saive as is all the years of development before the Belgian army adopted it just prior to WWII. After the French rejected Sauve's original design, FN convinced Browning to have a go after he had initially refused to have anything to do with the project. Both of Brownings' designs that he submitted were striker fired, not hammer fired, and one was a blowback design - you can view the mechanical illustrations in his copyrights of the two pistols that can be found for viewing via an internet search. Everything after that was all Dieudonné Saive.
