Literally the best build I've seen on TH-cam yet
i don't know about that but i really like the way it turned out!
Have to agree with Nick, really turned out cherry. Good job!
This is just proof that you dont need a $100,000 boat to have a good experience on the water. Excellent transformation.
As A DIY guy my complements. Not only good ideas but looks to be very well built. The Details are what make a backyard project into a professional one. Again Great Job!
thank you! i appreciate it!
VERY Nice Job! I see one thing you might possibly want to add? Its called a Hot foot. The Hot Foot attaches to your rear trolling motor and mounts near your front seat. Your able to power up the rear trolling motor and lock it in place. As your siting in the front seat steering with the foot controlled you can step on the switch to power up the rear motor doubling your power to move to a new location. The cost about $25 and are easy to attach and install. You hook up your rear motors ground to the Negative on the battery. Run the power wire from the trolling motor to the switch then from the switch to the Hot on your battery. When you step on the switch it turns on the TM, when you step off it shuts off.
Your videos are very informative. Keep up the great videos.
This boat is amazing!
Thank you! i appreciate you guys checking it out!
Now that's a nice boat!!! Good job and enjoy your hard work!!!
thank you!
I have gathered inspiration and innovation from this video. Less turmoil and confusion results in more pleasure for fishing. Thx for sharing.
I watch a lot of fishing and boat videos and I have to tip my hat to you. This is one of the best. Congratulations on finishing your boat and enjoy it to the fullest!
Oh my goodness that's the sickest conversion I've ever seen. Nicely done!
haha i appreciate it!
That is a BEAST! I have never wanted a jon boat so bad in my life! MY wife is going to have a cow because it looks like there is a new project in store.
hahaha go for it!
you don't know me from Adam, but I just wanted to tell you that watching your videos was inspiring. You did a great job and even better, you did it! again, Great job!!!
haha thank you! i finally got there!!! haha
You posted this some time ago but I thought I would comment anyway. You thought this through and made it the boat you wanted it to be. That is the most important part about jon boat to bass rig conversions. I'm getting ready to do a mini (14 ft) version with less storage and dual side opening rod boxes (just my preference given the narrow width) I have a full sized rig for bigger places but mine will be all electric as well. You did an inspired job and planned this out- an incredible build that I hope gets you onto the big ones and keeps you safe. Thanks for sharing brother
Killer build man, I really enjoyed it. Looks AWESOME!!!
haha thanks man! i appreciate you getting the word out about it!!!!!
This is the best conversion of a Jon Boat I have ever seen you did such an awesome job I really enjoyed watching your video.
Liked and subscribed
thank you!
Very awesome. Not only a great build but the fact you took the time to put all the links in the description, very helpful. I'm subbed in.
thanks man! i appreciate it!
The attention to detail is incredible. That thing looks amazing and has like twice the storage my 19 ft skeeter has.
Hands down that's the best Jon boat conversion I've seen thus far
thank you!
Dave & Rens Homestead why wouldn’t he use the seats
Awesome boat I can't wait to do mine this summer
thank you! post it on the Facebook page Tiny Boat Nation if you can
I could write a whole lot here about how awesome this project is, but I'm going to just go with Amazing! I feel like I have stumbled onto a gold mine of sweet boat ideas. Thank you sir!
thank you!
Dude....this is incredible. I am buying a trihull this fall/winter to convert and your video is a huge help and inspiration.
Awesome i am glad to hear it! Stay tuned might be making changes soon
Thank you so much for sharing all the info you have! I'm in the middle of my first real build myself, and you have saved me from making a lot of mistakes! Your humble demeanor, conservative presentation and insistance on giving credit to those who helped you, earned a ton of respect (im sure others feel the same) and made your videos a true pleasure to watch. Thank you for that! If you could change anything aside from framing with aluminum, what might it be? ~JW from North Idaho~
Thank you so much! i do appreciate it! I've had the boat out twice since completion and right now the only thing i wish i had done was recess the foot control
I wondered about that-- I just got my Terrova in the mail and will be recessing mine in the floor prior to installing my floor covering next week :-) Thanks again for the tips, thoughts, and Ideas.
Awesome let me know how you like it!
Best conversion on TH-cam
i don't know about that but i really like the way it came out!
I used to be proud of my boats deck job I did about 4 years after seeing yours and all the great ones on TBN I feel shame so now this winter I will be redoing it you guys are mad scientist on theses boat builds thank you for sharing your knowledge
anytime! glad your part of the group! Take tons of before pictures before you get to tearing it apart, it will be cool to see in the end!
Congratulations on a very nice completed build. And a Thank You for the very handy links to all the products you used.
thank you thank you! no problem if you need any others let me know
DUUUDEE! This is F#cking Amazing, I had my doubt with some things but you finally totally NAILED it :D Holy!
haha thank you, i did too honestly. I'm glad it came out this good
Nice job
Thank you!
Saw tackle junky shout this video out and checked it out. Man, I'm glad I did. Super impressive workmanship and finished product. I can't wait to go back and see the rest of the process! I can't wait to see what's next.
Thanks for stopping by! Glad you enjoyed it!
WOW !!!!! that's one sick build, well deserved !!
thank you!
Awesome boat can you make a video about setting up the fish finder
the install?
That's sick! How much did you think it costed all together, (without trolling motors or fish finders and batteries)? You should make a video on how to build one but save money and what you would change when making a new one.
might be in the near future.....(dramatic music) haha
Great job. I know you have got be happy with it. Also that the project is now done and you can just fish. Thank you for the videos. One day I will be at my lake house and start my own project.
Thank you! I'm having a blast with it on the water!
That's awesome man! I usually don't comment on videos but you deserve a pat on the back. That takes a lot of work. You really thought this one through and is a great looking setup
thank you bud i appreciate it! took a lot of time and dedication
Love the boat you should make a fishing vid
its in the works!
This is AWESOME
Thank you!
You knocked it out of the park son!
Thank you!
Damn man build me a boat!!!! The best bass john boat I have ever seen!!!
fuck yeah dude good shit. I can't wait to start mine.
haha thank you! also thanks for keeping up with the project!
FIREANT FISHING when I get mine up and running we should hit a lake together. how far do you live from Florida?
at least like 5 hrs haha
This is AMAZING but too complicated for me!😂
haha
This is probably the most amazing thing I've seen involving a Jon boat, this is just remarkable. You have talent Sir.
thank you!
I just love it when I see a great plan come together. Thank you.
Ive wanted to see the final product for soooo long but now I dont have a video to look forward too because you finished. PLEASE START ANOTHER BUILD!!
haha thanks for your patience man, I've been keeping my eyes out for another one. the problem is people are asking too much for junk
FIREANT FISHING I agree with you on the junk prices. I would look out of state. Tennessee seems to have a lot of boats for sale.
thats true, i usually look over in alabama but they are about the same
You can build mine!! got an all aluminum start on it but nothing near the storage or cleanliness as yours
email me
looks sweet! how much did it cost all in?
not sure, still debating on doing a video about that
I understand a craftsman enjoys his work and doesn't always consider labor in the cost of a project. Disregarding man hours/labor, I wonder if, in the long run, you would consider this project cost effective?
Great Job Ryan!!! Can you build me one??
FIREANT FISHING why no outboard motor?
Maybe as much as an older used bass boat? Don't know; all I can tell is that it looks like one!
Excellent job brother! I have a '59 Crestliner 14 ft and will be decking it in eventually...
awesome man i had a lot of fun modding this thing
That is a super nice boat!!! It makes me want to redo my boat! Thank you for the in depth review, I started following you because of this video, keep up the great work!
how much did this whole build cost you?? great job man been watching all the way
i don't have an exact number, however it wasn't cheap because i used aluminum for the frame. never again haha. another thing to consider is this project took me closer to a year and half to complete, so not all the money was spent at once
Not hate just a suggestion shoulda got a little 15 horse for the back or something like that. My friend has a little 12 foot aluminum boat and he's got a 25 Yamaha on it
yeah man i fish electric only lakes so that is what the build was based around
There are more and more trophy lakes that don't allow gas motors at all. There are even more that have gone to horsepower limits. The biggest reason for this is quite simply there are so many rude people on the water that a lot of tax payers are fed up. Nobody wants to be fishing their favorite cove, especially when the main body of the lake is choppy to be harassed by either a rude boater pulling skiers or somebody who is a member of the more money than common sense club making waves in a jet ski. There is a time and place for everyone. The jet ski of today is nothing like the original Kawasaki 440. Today they are high performance boats.
Beautiful work! You have raised the bar on Jon to Bass conversions. Congrats!
i learned a lot from this build, can't wait to do another one! always room for improvements
Excellent job! It has been a joy watching you take it from the mess it was when you first got it to the superb boat that it is now. I look forward to seeing you fish from it.
Thank you! i really appreciate it! it took a while but i got there haha
nice work bro hard work pays off welcome to the addiction the next build will go faster lol. beautiful ride
haha thanks for all your help. now i just got to find one that somebody is willing to let go for less than an arm and a leg.....
Time to make a fishing video on it
yessir I'm excited to do it!
Great build man. Doing my livewell just like yours. Simple but very effective. Thanks for taking the time to explain things.
Great job on the boat. I'm like you after all the work you put into this over the last year it is time to enjoy it. I look forward to seeing your new fishing videos.
thank you! they will be coming soon!
Great looking build...lots of great ideas. I also liked the intro with the lights and rolling the boat out of the garage.
Tremendous job! I'm very impressed with your attention to detail. Looking forward to seeing your boat in action. Thanks for sharing and best of luck with the boat. I'm sure you'll take great care of it!!
Thank you!
Man, this thing fishes she awesome!! I cannot believe how well this fished! I'm so impressed with you and this project! Can't wait to fish a lot more with you man! Congrats again!!
Thanks buddy, glad to have you there! :)
Awesome Job! Great planning and execution. Great example for us DIY'ers.
You sir need some awards. Keep it up
thank you!
Easily the best conversion I’ve seen yet! Great job on the boat, bud! Looks great! Bet it fishes even better! Enjoy it!
As a fellow ginger that is one great boat. That jig rig is a great idea.
Very good build. I love your jig holder! I'm going to be putting it on my boat to keep my lures that I use for trolling. Cool idea!
I've been following since first videos and the other boat....this one is beauty...great work.
thanks man! i appreciate it!
Dude, sick finished product. I'm Cody Wiens over on the TBNation FB page. I'll be starting my build after we get moved into our new house. Hopefully I can vlog it 1/4 as well as you did yours just to be able to glean suggestions in the comments... Again, awesome build!
Thank you! if you do decide to make videos, make sure to let me know id like to see them!
Killer job !! Love it! Good luck fishing and love to hear a report on the rear push motor and those batteries. One hell of a good job!!
I've watched most of you putting this together. Great job man. The LED setup is on point.

best boat conversion on youtube...hands down...just needs better motor and fishfinder...good job
This is totally awesome dude. Super impressive. I love how organized and neat everything is..it all has its own designated spot and space.
thank you! it took a lot of time and planning but I'm really happy with how it turned out
I’m looking into boat options and am strongly considering a John boat. By far one of the best builds I’ve seen. Nice job awesome build
Beautiful build! Gives me great ideas for my larger smokercraft upgrade.
This one turned out really great. Awesome job.

Looks fantastic! The time, effort and thought that went into this shows.
i tried really hard. it was difficult at times but boy am i glad with the turn out
Outstanding!! Very nice, well done. As a long time fabricator, aerospace loftsman I appreciate, no love the quality detail that's gone into this build. Subbed to learn more...
I was going to see my 14’ Jon then I came across your channel. You have inspired me to rebuild mine to slay reds in Texas. Great job fellow ginger.
I just watched the whole series today and it's easily the best thing I've watched on here! Amazing to see it all come together! I'm hopefully going to do the same thing sometime soon. Good job man!
thank you! i appreciate it!
I am looking to something very similar to your completed boat. This boat of yours is phenomenal. Great job and God Bless.
Thank you! Im enjoying it!
Hands down the best build I’ve seen! Way to go man

they are coming!
Way cool rod locker. Thats a rockin' conversion friend.!
Thank you! that might be my favorite part haha
Incredible job bud. Absolutely slickest build I’ve seen to date.
My only critique would be to consider doing hidden hinges on your next build.
Very nice! Very impressed with what you did, extremely professional looking boat.
thank you i appreciate it!
Love these conversations yours is defiantly oneof the best ive seen.
GOOD JOB! I have been following your progress. Excellent work, congratulations!

Man you sure did a good job and i see that you are a stickler for details, great job
Wow! Awesome build
This thing turned out amazing. Great job on the build. It's got to be super satisfying catching fish out of a boat you built yourself.
thank you! yeah it feels great. i like doing these builds because you can make it to fit your needs. very satisfying
I really enjoy the style you went with. I am going with jet Jon and mini cabin 15' StarCraft deep. I haven't started yet but all the pointers are great love your boat and the video easy to watch good quality
