A few years ago I was struggling to find a way to make HAIR for a foam statue (using a foam wig head) so that it looked like chiseled stone bust. Your video making a woman statue demonstrated your hair making trick with the spray foam and you saved my "in work" project from the dumpster. Thanks again for that. The effect was that half the head was normal but the left side was a skull. It was light on one side to show the normal face keeping the skull in the dark. Then a lighting effect would light the other side and simultaneously turn off the light on the normal side so it cannot be seen. The end effect was the stone statue looked like it transformed in the lightning. It was a great but simple illusion I designed and I believe it is completely original idea. Anyway I have always wondered if you had any other can foam tricks like the hair. Maybe Cloth for example like a toga on a roman statue? I know about doing this with real cloth and plaster but i would prefer just foam.
I enjoy watching you make stuff. You are so humble like bob ross. You are extremely talented. I watched one of your older videos the other day and there were a lot of leprechaun masks. just wondering what they were for?
Been doing a lot of experiments with loctite lately, found out on accident if you have a old can that is full but no pressure you can open the bottom and scoop out the resin, it has a insanely long work time took almost a hour till it set for me. Also to smooth I found a wide plastic pallet mixing knife swirled against the surface with good pressure smooths it nicely, think it's the friction heat created that kinds works like a mini heat gun.
This sounds like a very interesting idea and I have a few old cans. I just can't picture in my head exactly what you did and the steps you took. Do you happen to have a video of the process anywhere? Thanks in advance 😊

UV resin is a great way to add a glassy look to surfaces. And it’s easier to use than epoxy. I always enjoy these builds. The only thing I’m not really fussed on are the layer lines and texture of the foam. Is there a way you could smooth the surface? Sanding perhaps? Or a layer of filler?
I have one of those cordless ryobi glue guns. The smaller one. The cool thing about it is you set it on the base to heat up. This was awesome Allan!! Happy Halloween too !🎃👻💀 Just a few questions, if you could possibly help, as I couldn't seem to find the answers in your last videos and I'm having trouble. I'd really appreciate it so much.🫶😊 1. Can you paint the loctite foam with acrylic paint instead of spray paint? I only have a few spray paint colors and need lots of colors. 2. Can you sand the locktite to make it smoother? I'm stil trying to make a jack skellington head since I messed up the first one. I feel like it's so last minute I shouldn't even bother but I'm trying. 🙁 3. Can you cut the locktite foam, like you can EVA foam, with a "hot wire foam cutter", as long as, you're outside or well-ventilated? Thanks so much for your help in advance! 😊
1. YEs 2. you can, but for Jack Id use a sphere pattern and EVA foam- its already much smoother- EVA clay on top will give you the features, I made one like that a few years ago. 3.you can, but its much easier and less deadly with a knife.
its awesome, but in my opinion, you should have stopped the bust before the end of the shoulders. venom has HUGE shoulders, and seeing him with little shoulders makes him look awkward? not hating, just trying to help!
there are busts that go down to the neck, and then drop down the front like a v-neck, and end the shoulders a bit after passing the base of the neck. im sure youve seen one like that! i think Mozart is a popular bust made this way?@@StiltbeastStudios
we are constantly evolving and will listen to your feed back- I didnt notice a jump in volume but I will look again- I cant fix it once its uploaded however
I use hundreds of materials, still do- this is just a fairly new medium. i make latex masks out of WED clay and plaster molds, thats a good chunk of my income.
I have watched almost all your other foam mask videos, this is the only one you warn about the fumes ? , I mean you put the skull mask on your head before it had dried. Is the actually deadly?, I trust your opinions, please let us know why you changed the warnings in this video. Please
I mean...Im not dead so deadly is a strong word. there is a warning on this one because the more people who see this the lower the average IQ of the viewer is. No fumes are good for you, avoid them if you can. Im pretty fume tolerant from all my working with stuff so I barely notice them- bu they could kill a pet parrot cause birds are super sensitive. ciggarette packs have warnings also- six or so masks a year like this I dont think are an issue- make one a day for a few years and you will have an amazing collection ....and possibly lung cancer. Well ventillated space I have fans and such and Im in a big shop. Dont make these in your closet right?
@StiltbeastStudios thanks so much for replying, I make a lot of things very similar to the ones you make. I've watched others, and most are way too critical and too worried. I prefer your methods over all others. I haven't used the foam for a mask before, it's new to me. I was blown away by the ease and the structural integrity of it, as well as the ability to mold it. Gonna attempt something with it. I figured it was safe, I mean, I've used it in construction quite a bit. That warning just kinda scared me enough to reach out to you. I think you'd like my style of crafting. Too bad I'm in Georgia. I bet you are super busy right now with Halloween coming up. Thanks for the fun , informative channel, I made a krampus like 10 years ago, the one's you made are impressive, thanks again

2. Can you sand the locktite to make it smoother? I'm stil trying to make a jack skellington head since I messed up the first one. I feel like it's so last minute I shouldn't even bother but I'm trying. 🙁
3. Can you cut the locktite foam, like you can EVA foam, with a "hot wire foam cutter", as long as, you're outside or well-ventilated?
Thanks so much for your help in advance! 😊
1. YEs
2. you can, but for Jack Id use a sphere pattern and EVA foam- its already much smoother- EVA clay on top will give you the features, I made one like that a few years ago.
3.you can, but its much easier and less deadly with a knife.
its awesome, but in my opinion, you should have stopped the bust before the end of the shoulders. venom has HUGE shoulders, and seeing him with little shoulders makes him look awkward? not hating, just trying to help!
yeah, I thought of that, just didnt want a head on a table either.
there are busts that go down to the neck, and then drop down the front like a v-neck, and end the shoulders a bit after passing the base of the neck. im sure youve seen one like that! i think Mozart is a popular bust made this way?@@StiltbeastStudios
Knock it out of the park Al !!!-
Everyday is an art day...what boring jobs people have
Love your videos, But the MUSIC is way too loud for me on this one.

Can you try doing the Living Dead Girl from the Rob Zombie music video?
added to the list...tough one
@@StiltbeastStudios If not it's no big deal. I found your channel literally that day so i got a little exited lol.
Much awesomeness!!!
Do Pennywise next. Using the same teeth
not next, but its now on the list!
Why do you like the rustoleum 2x for this project?
I just like it, its a good paint with high pigmentation- but the nozzles clog easy
James from somerset, just sign up today
Is the movie paint similar to Design Master's glossy wood tone?
yes, very similar
i started asking myself whether you are endorsed by locktite foam or not (probably the quickest way to make monsters though)
people really respond to the foam videos so Im doing one every other week.
What material did you use before discovering LocTite?
