I just bought a 2014 Bolt and rode many Harley's. This Bike is Incredible. Shifts Great and smooth as hell. Going to Do a cafe style on it. Look them up. Sharp !!!

I drove both a Sportster and the Bolt. The bolt is friggn bad ass and a way smoother ride. If you have any back issues, like I do, GET THE BOLT. The ride is smooth as hell.........

Great vid here. Now, if only someone would offer internal high-performance parts for this bike (ie cams and big bore piston kits). I'd like to see the aftermarket come up with a bigger gas tank (without a seam) -- a tank along the lines of a H-D FXR tank, only with a cut-out for a fuel pump. I've always dug frisco styled machines (FXRs).

How much would it cost to purchase all the aftermarket accessories used in this star bolt?? an estimate would do..
You can plan on about $2,700+ in parts and that does not include paint, tires, or wheels.
What do you have to fix the head shake prevelent in these bikes?
We did not notice this problem.
What kind of rear wheel is that and did you guys have to do any frame work? The rear wheel look like it will rub the brake line cage

what type of star bolt was that one? was it the rspec or cspec? want to build one too.
Can anybody tell me if I can do this kind of modification with a Bolt C Series, I only ask because on the C Series the clutch and brakes pedal is moved 8 inches back?
+wageh salib This entire modification can not be done due the C Spec shocks and we have no bracket to fit them. As far as the clutch and pedals are concerned, we could not say since we have not tested these on these items on your model bike.
Could I have the specs on the front wheel? I would like ridewright to custom build a wheel similar to yours for my bolt.
We unfortunately do not have the specs on the front wheel but it was called the 'Evolution" wheel when we ordered. Sorry.

Thank you. I think I will get one. I have another question. My Bolt is the standard model. I have been told by some that I will need a tuner and some say that they know that I will not. Will I need a tuner in your judgment, or will the V&H slip on pip be okay without a tuner? I have gotten conflicting advise, and I ask you because you seem to really know a lot about the Bolt, seeing that you work on them specifically.
We used a V&H FuelPak but we also changed the intake system. Check out the link attached for the Competitive Slip on video. Also, we've customized Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, and even Victory bikes so the Bolt is another great addition to the lineup.

Star Bolt is too small for me 6'-2"...but so is a Sporty.

185 for factory wheel and 200 for factory swing arm with an aftermarket wheel

After the 5 degree rake how does it ride - and is it too close to the ground ?
The 5 degree tree did slightly lower clearance but not by much.
@@LowandMEANcom Also, How did the ride quality, especially steering effort change ?
@@seshadrisrinath With raked out trees you typically get smoother and more stable at highway speeds but with low speed the steering feels 'heavier'.
@@LowandMEANcom That's weird, maybe from the extra 1.5" wheelbase. You reduced the trail from 5.1" to 3.6". But rake itself has some effort issues associated with it. Also you dont have a steering stem per se in that you're running a bolt for the stem and preloading the bearings at the same time..
@@seshadrisrinath The trail is increased due to pushing out the front wheel. They are proportional. Yes, the difference comes from the wider wheelbase. @@mr.blancov3297 The Bolt is a great platform to build from and also not too expensive, especially when buying used. You will want a highway peg kit or forward controls because of your height.
@@LowandMEANcom What's about apes? I notice how most of hight people use 8'' apes for by more confortable while the drive.
I notice also Chris, in the video, use a custom ape.
@@mr.blancov3297 We used Biltwell Keystone handlebars, they only have one height option. You can find out your preferred bar height with a helper and tape measure.

the lower chin shroud thing doesn't look good on this bike, iv'e seen it on a vulcan 900 custom and it was good, but here it just looks tacky.
