I believe it is more productive if there is a divergence in opinions or if you found something a person is practicing as haram you can talk to that person and not to have viewers at cost of someone else’s reputation. I will give you an example..I have seen some women with nail polisher in the mosque and making their prayers. I did not start screaming or yelling at those women for all the people in the mosque know what was happening. I spoke to them in private, without embarrassing them, and also indicate a Hafeeza to help them. No fuss and life moves on. When you want to point someone’s error, you don’t do it in such way to embarrass that person! That was not the way it is written in the Quran!

Omar Suleiman could've easily walked out and advised the Muslims there not to partake in these rituals, yet he still stayed and said nothing. Even a person with a grain of Imaan would've been so uncomfortable that they would've left as soon as they saw the Shirk rituals and LGBTQ priestesses.

OK, here's my point of view after watching this. There is no denying that a Muslim should not have participated in this march and even if he did, he should not have stayed silent on so many occasions. If a protest is gonna go against your faith then leave that gathering. So sheikh made a mistake here and as imam he should not have done this because people look up to him. Having said that, we as Muslims should never ever look at one mistake of our brother and multiply the guy or the girl with ZERO. We cannot say that bcz of this, I'm not gonna watch his sahaba RA videos. Him spreading awareness about the sunnah videos. And so on. Don't watch his videos on lgbt topic but other than that? At the time of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w, if a person had alcohol dripping from his beard, the sahabas RA would think. Maybe the vine fell on him. If a girl wasn't wearing hijab, they would think maybe she doesn't know. They could find 100 excuses for their Muslim fellow because that's what was taught to them. For this particular issue: Omar Suleiman publicly apologized and publicly repented. He made dua for those pointing out his mistake sincerely that they remain close to the ummah. Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “Do not think badly of a word uttered by your brother, when you can find a good interpretation for it.” Your brother in Islam is a learning and growing muslim. No reason to believe he is lying. If he says he made an error unknowingly, believe him.

The Legend I used to listen to Yasir Qadhi and Omar Suleiman. I never listened to any of the controversial stuff that they put out about LGBTQ rights or Islam needing reformation. Wicca was my first religion, as I grew up in a non-religious household. I was 12 at the time. The love and veneration of nature and using "good" magick to better and empower one's self was very attractive to me. And I tried to become a High Priestess. Christians tried hard to convince me that my nature-loving, ancestor-worshipping religion was wrong and failed. And that's because all I saw was kindness and love and freedom in it. Or so I believed at the time. I could sit and give lectures on this topic. And I hope to do this once I become a Sheikha, inshaAllah.

Im muslim, but grew up in a predominantly catholic neighborhood, the kindergarten I attended at is ruled by nuns, when we pray the Christians will recite the our father and hail mary, and then the fatiha for the muslims, then I will put my hands up like doing dua while reciting both the catholic and muslim prayers ,and when I was in high school, I attended a catholic mass held in our school, coz I had no where to go so I attended it, and I love singing, so when they started singing I sing too, coz I know the lyrics, coz it's being played in radios, I did not know it's a form of worship, I'm having bad chills just remembering it, may Allah swt forgive me and my ignorance.

When she saw a thirsty dog she would take her shoe, fill it with water and gave it to the dog. Then, in the afterlife, Allah asked if she wants to enter heaven or not. @Abdullahi Yusuf the essence of sufism is not an innovation. Its just a the element of tasawuf - connection to Allah, beyond the syariah, is the tariqah, and haqiqah and makrifah. These all completes us. But not to say there isnt any innovators hiding in the name of sufism! Such is many innovators hiding in other disciplines of Islamic studies too. :)

I don't think we should discredit all his work and villify him. What we should extract from this is: don't put your scholars and leaders on pedestals and follow them blindly. Ask questions. You must do your due diligence and ask for proofs when they give opinions.

I am watching this video in shock. I lived in the USA for 8 years when I was a graduate student. Obtaining my degree, I returned back to my homeland. I used to go to meetings of CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, so on. We, as foreign Muslim students, admired taqwa of American Muslims. We admired their sincerity in Islam. I have difficulty in believing that I see those "imams" hand in hand with LGBT. My sorrow and disappointment knows no boundary. I am left speechless. May Allah protect all Muslims.

Let’s see, most authentic Hadith we have today is from Bukharie and Muslim , one of the Criteria to accept the Hadith is that the men they took from should be known truthful men, if they knew that they’ve lied even once they dismiss them for good. Let alone taking your Deen from people calling for Islam reformation, and doing what they did above. I don't know which religion you follow but I am sure, your holy books and other stuff is definitely originating from a single language itself and then getting translated. Infact, I want to point, it is a thing of great virtue to translate and teach others about Islam, helping them with Islamic quiries. it is highly suggested in Islam to learn Arabic to have a better understanding of Islam. Islam also bound a Muslim to read Quran 2 twice a year from cover to cover, to understand Islam itself, no explanation is better than reading it yourself and trying to understand. Salah has the same motive, it's a great exercise five times a day, it follows a great timetable by waking up before Dawn and sleeping early, having dinner early, everything in Islam is highly recommended by today's scientists themselves. There is no blind following in Islam, Allah will not be happy with blind followers who didn't try to understand Islam on their own and also benefiting others who seek to learn. If you have questions about Islam, rather than accusing try to learn more by asking questions please. We are happy to answer. And these are just a few verses about what Allah said and warned against these munafeqoon!! Look up the tafseer of these verses if you don't understand and nah God guide you...

That’s not the type of person the prophet ﷺ was referring to, because this person is not close to being a scholar. It’s just some of the muslim minorities in the west that gave people like him the position that they have. In muslim countries nobody has ever heard about the dubious figure that is Omar Suleiman.

I believe it is more productive if there is a divergence in opinions or if you found something a person is practicing as haram you can talk to that person and not to have viewers at cost of someone else’s reputation. I will give you an example..I have seen some women with nail polisher in the mosque and making their prayers. I did not start screaming or yelling at those women for all the people in the mosque know what was happening. I spoke to them in private, without embarrassing them, and also indicate a Hafeeza to help them. No fuss and life moves on. When you want to point someone’s error, you don’t do it in such way to embarrass that person! That was not the way it is written in the Quran!
But considering the content of this Chanel...there’s no point in trying to explain that either. So Allah knows best. He knows what’s in our hearts.

I disagree with teaching theology in school curriculums, because they will teach it in a manner that is neutral and it could attract some children- especially if it is presented to be harmless.
Wicca was my first religion, as I grew up in a non-religious household. I was 12 at the time. The love and veneration of nature and using "good" magick to better and empower one's self was very attractive to me. And I tried to become a High Priestess.
Christians tried hard to convince me that my nature-loving, ancestor-worshipping religion was wrong and failed. And that's because all I saw was kindness and love and freedom in it. Or so I believed at the time.

Im muslim, but grew up in a predominantly catholic neighborhood, the kindergarten I attended at is ruled by nuns, when we pray the Christians will recite the our father and hail mary, and then the fatiha for the muslims, then I will put my hands up like doing dua while reciting both the catholic and muslim prayers ,and when I was in high school, I attended a catholic mass held in our school, coz I had no where to go so I attended it, and I love singing, so when they started singing I sing too, coz I know the lyrics, coz it's being played in radios, I did not know it's a form of worship, I'm having bad chills just remembering it, may Allah swt forgive me and my ignorance.

When she saw a thirsty dog she would take her shoe, fill it with water and gave it to the dog. Then, in the afterlife, Allah asked if she wants to enter heaven or not. He said, "Yes, but it would be tained with Dakhan (i.e. Little evil)." I asked, "What will its Dakhan be?" He said, "There will be some people who will lead (people) according to principles other than my tradition. You will see their actions and disapprove of them." I said, "Will there by any evil after that good?" He said, "Yes, there will be some people who will invite others to the doors of Hell, and whoever accepts their invitation to it will be thrown in it (by them)." I said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Describe those people to us." He said, "They will belong to us and speak our language" I asked, "What do you order me to do if such a thing should take place in my life?" He said, "Adhere to the group of Muslims and their Chief." I asked, "If there is neither a group (of Muslims) nor a chief (what shall I do)?" He said, "Keep away from all those different sects, even if you had to bite (i.e. eat) the root of a tree, till you meet Allah while you are still in that state."

There is the possibility that there are non-Muslims or the Alphabet people who still call themselves Muslims and other deviant sects who support Omar Suleiman because they see him as an ally because he never condemns their actions and beliefs and even facilitates them are the ones who disliked this video, that is the only explanation that I can come up with. Let’s see, most authentic Hadith we have today is from Bukharie and Muslim , one of the Criteria to accept the Hadith is that the men they took from should be known truthful men, if they knew that they’ve lied even once they dismiss them for good. I don't know which religion you follow but I am sure, your holy books and other stuff is definitely originating from a single language itself and then getting translated. Infact, I want to point, it is a thing of great virtue to translate and teach others about Islam, helping them with Islamic quiries. it is highly suggested in Islam to learn Arabic to have a better understanding of Islam. Islam also bound a Muslim to read Quran 2 twice a year from cover to cover, to understand Islam itself, no explanation is better than reading it yourself and trying to understand. Salah has the same motive, it's a great exercise five times a day, it follows a great timetable by waking up before Dawn and sleeping early, having dinner early, everything in Islam is highly recommended by today's scientists themselves. There is no blind following in Islam, Allah will not be happy with blind followers who didn't try to understand Islam on their own and also benefiting others who seek to learn. If you have questions about Islam, rather than accusing try to learn more by asking questions please. We are happy to answer. Quran promotes education even when education wasn't a thing, so I would say , think twice before calling it a blind following sir. Thank you, may God guide you.

♦ ﴿ وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَقُولُ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَبِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَمَا هُمْ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ * يُخَادِعُونَ اللَّهَ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَمَا يَخْدَعُونَ إِلَّا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ * فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ فَزَادَهُمُ اللَّهُ مَرَضًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ * وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ * أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْمُفْسِدُونَ وَلَكِنْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ * وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُوا كَمَا آمَنَ النَّاسُ قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَا آمَنَ السُّفَهَاءُ أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ السُّفَهَاءُ وَلَكِنْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ * وَإِذَا لَقُوا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْا إِلَى شَيَاطِينِهِمْ قَالُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُسْتَهْزِئُونَ * اللَّهُ يَسْتَهْزِئُ بِهِمْ وَيَمُدُّهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ * أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا الضَّلَالَةَ بِالْهُدَى فَمَا رَبِحَتْ تِجَارَتُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا مُهْتَدِينَ * مَثَلُهُمْ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا فَلَمَّا أَضَاءَتْ مَا حَوْلَهُ ذَهَبَ اللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمْ وَتَرَكَهُمْ فِي ظُلُمَاتٍ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ * صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ * أَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فِيهِ ظُلُمَاتٌ وَرَعْدٌ وَبَرْقٌ يَجْعَلُونَ أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِمْ مِنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ وَاللَّهُ مُحِيطٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ * يَكَادُ الْبَرْقُ يَخْطَفُ أَبْصَارَهُمْ كُلَّمَا أَضَاءَ لَهُمْ مَشَوْا فِيهِ وَإِذَا أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَامُوا وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَذَهَبَ بِسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَارِهِمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ﴾ [البقرة: 8 - 20].
♦ ﴿ وَإِذَا لَقُوا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ قَالُوا أَتُحَدِّثُونَهُمْ بِمَا فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لِيُحَاجُّوكُمْ بِهِ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ ﴾ [البقرة: 76].
♦ ﴿ وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يُعْجِبُكَ قَوْلُهُ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ عَلَى مَا فِي قَلْبِهِ وَهُوَ أَلَدُّ الْخِصَامِ * وَإِذَا تَوَلَّى سَعَى فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيُفْسِدَ فِيهَا وَيُهْلِكَ الْحَرْثَ وَالنَّسْلَ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْفَسَادَ * وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ أَخَذَتْهُ الْعِزَّةُ بِالْإِثْمِ فَحَسْبُهُ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ ﴾ [البقرة: 204 - 206].
And these are just a few verses about what Allah said and warned against these munafeqoon!! Look up the tafseer of these verses if you don't understand and nah God guide you...

First yaasir qadhi, now Omar Suleiman. I can’t believe how blind I was especially with Omar Suleiman. I recommended him to so many people after watching the angel series alone from Yaqeen institute. But after watching this video, I’m seriously shook. At least I have cleansed my lenses thoroughly today, Alhamdulillah.

In my opinion, Daniel is not attacking the Shaikh. He is only saying Shaikh as a leader and Ulama, as we all know that the Ulama are the heir of the Prophet SAW, they cannot join such events. If a shaikh like Suleiman joins such events, what will happen with those Muslims with little knowledge? I like Shaikh Suleiman and he delivers lectures with hiqma (prudence) but i was shocked to see him in this gathering.
