    Thanks, teacher Paul for the useful lesson. As you asked us suggestions for other similar videos, I would like an other video about "negative questions": for example "Wouldn't it be nice if ...?". I think it would be really useful to practise that kind of questions. ... ... ... P.S. Maybe you aren't "the best English teacher in the world", but it's always not only very useful but also a great pleasure to watch your videos, for the professionalism and the nice humaneness that you can express at the same time!

    Great lesson! A have a question. Is it also common to say "For how long...?"

    • @Learnamericanenglishonline
      @Learnamericanenglishonline  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, sometimes. For how long do you expect this to go on? Or "for how long" by itself is used in response to a statement: A: This might take awhile. B: For how long?

  • @rohittinku1565
    @rohittinku1565 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sir, I really like your videos. They are really informative. I appreciate you helping us with our English. I have a request. If you can make a video explaining two structures. 1st structure: Subject + get + obj + verb+ing. Example: He got me speaking. 2nd structure: Subject + have + object + verb+ing. Example: He had us laughing at the party last night.

    • @Learnamericanenglishonline
      @Learnamericanenglishonline  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The verb “have” and “get” are causative. Search TH-cam for that topic. You might find something. Your request is very specific. I’ll have to think about how to put a video together for this. You got me thinking about this. It’s informal, spoken English.

    Sir would u pls teach the difference between I have no time and I don't have time

  • @Saha9800
    @Saha9800 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    One of the shortcomings of English textbooks is that they focus excessively on written English to the detriment of spoken English. Thus, when students travel to English speaking countries or watch English movies and series, they can't make head or tail of or figure out what they are hearing. Considering the above, your videos would be much better, conversation wise, if you pronounce the questions in casual spoken English too. Thank you for your useful, albeit short, videos.
