    Honestly, I've been studying for almost a decade back in the academic days, this (be) in my view is the gateway of the English grammar. You did the easiest way that even students with learning difficulties can get in only 13 minutes.. well done 👏

    " Aren't I ? " It may be used when we want to given an answer in the contraction but if we do not want to use the contraction sentence as an answer, then we can not use " Arent' I" but instead we use the Helping verb " am " and we reply like this " Am I ? "

      Yes. So, if I make a statement like this, "You're a great student." You express surprise with, "Am I?" Anyway...using "aren't" with "I" is weird, but I always feel obligated to explain it when it comes up among my students because its use is fairly common.

    SORRY...i disagree you... the most important northamerican verb is get .... be is a simple one...get is used to show active actions in a sentence... ^^^^get back to work... ^^^get dressed ^^^ or ^^^get undressed^^^ ...WITHOUT THIS WORD THE AMERICAN LANGUAGE AND THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE WOULD NOT HAVE ACTIVE EXPRESSIONS OR PROCESSES IN MOTION THAT IN OTHER LANGUAGES ARE NOT NECESSARY BECAUSE LIKE IN SPANISH...EACH VERB IS USED IN BOTH... PASIVE AND ACTIVE CONDITIONS SO... AMERICAN LANGUAGE NEEDS TO USE TWO VERBS TO EXPRESS ACTIVE ACTIONS....the one used to do that is ^^^^get^^^ ...other details of this american language are better and are subjects to reply in other languages like in spanish that uses the written accent and they dont....these written accents, in my opinion, are about to disappear attending the global necessities of simplification and improvement to a better rules.... the written accent had their time of use and were necessary but now, after centuries of use, people have decided they are
    handicaps instead of resources to inform to others...this is what i call natural evolution of things because nothing is steady in the universe... we live in an eternal process of change to a better scenario...correcting what is wrong or an excess...i hope the RAE accepts soon this issue for the benefit of the spanish language. from panama canal, sept-4-2020

    • @Learnamericanenglishonline
      @Learnamericanenglishonline  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, "get" is certainly important as it's used in many verb phrases and as a replacement for the verb "be" in the passive voice, but you really have to know how to use "be" first.

      @@Learnamericanenglishonline SIR... THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWER BUT NOWADAYS MY LEVELS IN ENGLISH COULD BE 6-7 AND INCREASING BUT THE ISSUES FOR ME NEVER HAVE BEEN WITH THE VERB ^BE^ BUT WITH THE VERB get BECAUSE THE POINT HERE IS TO KNOW WHEN A VERB NEEDS THIS WORD TO CONVERT TO ACTIVE ACTION... i hope have explained my point correctly... because there are certain verbs dont need this word get and they can be used alone to turn to an active action or process like the books teach when the word get is necessary ....
