Jy, I know the feeling all too well when leaving home to return to the sea. And it's been 37 years for me. Not only leaving your loved ones behind, but especially in your case going to something brand new (new contract). For me, it was a simple 6-hour drive or sometimes an 8-hour bus ride from home to Norfolk. But you have to fly almost half way around the world and then to Australia. Fair winds and following seas.
I look forward so much to your videos Jy. They are so well don, showing a real intelligence of crafting and telling a story. You make me feel along with you, every emotional step. Each vlog is so well worth waiting for. You are truly a wonderful daughter, good human, and a beautiful lady inside and out. Best of luck on the next stages of your journey. Real good video as usual, I know that it’s different but I kind of understand you, as a pilot I stay on the road for 20 days far from family and friends and I do it every month. I can relate to you....i was an AB on bulk carrier ...i just focused my mind for the future to be not sad everytime leaving....then bored all men on the ship...change to passenger ship...woaahh love it enjoy very much...lot's of women passenger and crew ...cunard lines abd hapag lloyd ...met my swiss miss wife...rest is history😎

Well, as this pandemic entered , I stopped my studies of being a BSMT student. But hopefully and still hoping na makabalik ako next year sa pag-aaral kasi that was my dream. Buhay seafarers talaga, I've been to that profession from merchant seaman to offshore drilling rig. The only advantage compared to other OFW is you see beautiful countries by free and earn enough salary for a living even though big waves and strong wind came from any direction .God bless you and have a safe voyage, safety first .

Hi Ms. Jy, I hope your doing fine and just relax waiting for your duty ahead. You know, what since pandemic last year 2020, I've been watching your vlog's together with other seaman vlogges like Chief Macoi, Biyahe ni Edward, and Eron Ancheta. When we started to report again face to face this year 2021 in the University I work, I became busy again and some how I spent less watching you guys. And now that I seeing you again, its just less than 10 months or less you CHANGED a lot , I mean you become more beautiful and simply attractive. I just hope that you keep it that way, inspiring all and simply super lovely. I watched your Jowa challenge with Eron and I felt and remember those days I had, like what you have now. I hope you enjoy being single and I hope Eron will enjoy too before you get into something more serious. Lastly when I saw you and other vloggers often pack up your luggage or Maleta for vacation and returning to work, oh God I missed travelling around the airport, seeing my family especially my brother fetching me home from the airport when I arrived. Because its been two years now as an OFW here in the Oman just spending our yearly vacation because of restriction and quarantine issues for both countries. Anyways, always take care of your self, be safe, and never forget God to guide you and keep you away from any harm. God bless us all seafarers and OFWs.

Hi ma'am Jy, nung nag graduate po ba kayo sa Lyceum Batangas naging officer na po ba agad kayo o sadyang mabilis lang po talaga ma promote sa company nyo? Tanong ko lang din po about sa mga magagandang schools na nagsasabing guaranteed employment, third mate na po ba agad yun or OS lang? Thank you and Godbless.
Hi, after my cadetship, I cleared my exams and got my license then I joined as an OS. After that contract I got promotion to third officer. Every company has different matrix that they follow. Mahalaga is mag ka lisensya ka so you are a step closer to becoming an officer on board.

Ate Jy, what are the requirements for entering the Mariner's lounge in Doha? what do you need to show? can non-seafarers enter? if I am a sea farer and I am traveling with a friend who is not, can they enter? Ingat po ate!
Only for seafarers. Just your seaman’s book, boarding pass and passport.
