Keen to give v2 a go. V1 has really offloaded my 2nd mtp on my right foot due to arthritis. But I felt the heel/ toe drop was higher than stated 8mm. Also felt stack height was a little too high giving an unstable feeling. With the new v2 heel/toe drop being a bit lower as well as stack height. can’t wait to give them a crack.

There is no magic in v2. You might as well get the endorphin speed 3.

Nice comparison. Do you feel the V1 to be best cushioned or there is no difference? And is the V2 better in stability?

Hi Josh, great review. Would you say that the v2 are wider (maybe even rommier) than the v1?

Hi! I am looking for 1 pair of do it all versatile running shoes, I have been looking at a couple but here are some of my stats. I have pretty flat feet and believe I overpronate a little bit. I a teenager who is defiently still growing. I am looking for something very comfy but also bouncy that can go in long runs but can also do fast runs. I am also looking for something that won’t break the bank as I am still saving up for money for things like college. I was looking at many shoes ranging from the Acics novablast, brooks glycerin gts 20, Hoka gaviota 5. Now I know these range something closer to heavier everyday stabile shoes. But I ak looking for something that can do everything including being bouncy for faster paces, tempo runs, race day, and even long and recovery runs. I currently have the gel kayano 29 but they are almost at the end of their run(pun intended) and they didn’t do very well on any speed work or race day. If you have any recommendations or questions about my running please ask. Also I forgot to mention I believe I land on my forefoot and toe and the same time and maybe my heel too at the same time. Not 100% sure. Thank you!!!!

Puma Deviate Nitro, great shoes without breaking the bank, if you’re lucky you can get it at 65 bucks.

Would the SC v2 work well with a definite heel striker?
I'm looking for a new do-it-all shoe that can handle long distances - kinda between this (v2) and the Superblast. Any thoughts? Thanks so much

V2 is much more dialed for a heel striker in comparison to V1…. If you are looking for a shoe to do it all… it’s always hard to pin point that one shoe. However Supercomp V2 is a close contender but I would also take a close look at Mach X. Mach X is versatile like the supercomp V2. If you had to split them. I’d say Mach X would be better suited for longer runs… and the supercomp is better suited for speed work. Both can do it all.
You mentioned the Asics Superblast… That is a phenomenal shoe also. Big fan of how they shoe has performed for many runners I have assisted over the last 6 months.
Thanks for watching. All the best with your shoe selection and running journey.
      Josh

Hi I was just wondering how returns are on your website? I’m dying to try this shoe but - I have a wide foot and a fat foot (arthritis) there’s a pretty solid chance that these even in the wide 2e won’t fit 😢

      Hello & Thanks for watching,
Whats your current shoe size and width? I will let you know if a 2E Supercomp trainer would be suitable.
On the record... its a pretty generous 2E width.
      Josh

@@SportitudeAus thanks for the reply. My shoe size id say a US13 but it’s tough being wider and thicker (some swelling) I’ve been wearing the 1080v12 in a 2e width and it’s a good fit plenty of width. I have the rebel v3 in a regular width - nah I wear them without the inner soles and they still too tight. 1080v12 US13 has been good. Probably could have gone a 12.5 to be honest

@@fatboy5926 Thanks for the detail. Looking at Supercomp V2... go a 13us 2E. If you found the 1080v12 13 a little roomier than you would prefer, I think youll be fine with 13us in the Supercomp. Rebel pretty shallow in overall width. They have addressed this with Rebel V4 (due in Feb/March 2024). But the midsole is soooo different.
Let me know how you go with 13us 2E Supercomp V2.

@@SportitudeAus Hi, I’m a very overweight male (110kg) & I’m looking to start walking for an hour a day.
Would the New Balance Men's FuelCell Supercomp Trainer V2 work for a walking shoe? I would think that all the cushioning the shoe has would benefit someone heavy like me?
