Deviate Nitro 2 much lighter. Better fit. Much better grip on wet or damp roads. Costs half.. New Balance SC elite outsole gives bad grip and shoes serious wear after 120k.
appreciate this review, and the realistic mileage prediction.., as a older heavier runner, I tend to take an additional 50-75 miles from most mileage predictions .., maybe that's why I only have 2 plated road shoes. great review.., keep up the great work. I will keep an eye on these shoes.., in the clearance or lightly used section..
Another awesome video Emily V1 is one of my all time favorites for effortless runs. Have not tried V2 since I stocked up on V1 😊 What a Ruff life Ruby! You deserve it!
I love your input. Most youtuber would just yeah. that you might do ok for Tempo run... with SC 2. I found that most runner could do anything with this shoe, that's what stand out from your reviews in general. You think for a huge variety of runners. Kudos to you. I ran my best official half marathon. I was wearing my pineapple/banana SC Elite. they looked awesome. they were butter on my feet and very responsive too. Don't disregard for NY marathon. they are lighter. and that color gives you wings. It must be the banana color. lots of potassium and magnesium 😊
Good stuff Heller. Sneaking up on 100 miles in my SC V2s. Great shoe for sure. Great content BtW. Feels like we’re just hanging out with ya. Keep em coming. Subscribed. 😊
I can't believe how good the outsole looks on your shoes. I have half as many miles on my SC Trainer v.2 and the lateral heel area (I am a heel striker) of the outsoul is not only past the harder rubber, but also well worn into the foam. That is where all of my shoes ultimately fail me, but at just 117 miles, it is disappointing. I wouldn't wear these for a marathon though because they are too heavy for my liking (wear the SC Elite now for marathons), but I do use them for multipurpose and some interval weekday runs.
Same here. I'm 180 lbs and at 140 miles I had completely worn through the outsole of the heel on the lateral side. Plus, I was always worried about picking up rocks in the "arc." Emily's looks amazing compared to how mine looked with 100 less miles. Other than the durability, I loved the shoe.
@@RuckusMojo crazy thing for me is that I am pretty small 111 lbs, so I was a bit surprised. I wear other NB as well, and race in the SC Elite. I do wear down the same place on those too, but wear them less often. Haven't had any issues with rocks in the arc/pocket, but I try to stay off of those surfaces if possible.
I ALWAYS wear out the back outside corner. On every shoe, period. So I put Shoe Goo on there. Just on that corner. Or, very occasionally up front if outsole is getting thin. At any rate, I never get to where I'm just on foam. The hard rubber never gets worn through. If not for this, I'd be chucking them at the low mileage you all are quoting. Like, less than 200; maybe 100. I could burn 10 pair a year with no Goo. In actuality, I go closer to 1000. 500-600 is still pretty new in my opinion. $5 a tube (Walmart). Pu 10:21 t on a couple mm thick Let cure 5 days. Put more on when ever necessary, which could be as often as every 25 miles but usually more.
@@brianway4240 thanks, I'll check it out. Won't ever get above 300 or 350 in my shoes because of the foam/cushion decrease though and a REALLY jacked up back. But, whatever gets me there is worth checking out.
I have around 130 miles on mine and while I typically use them for long runs or recovery runs, I do think that they work for all types of runs. Outsole is holding up well. Only one downfall for me. You really have to watch where you are running in the fall with all the acorns lying about. They "Will" get stuck in the tunnel underneath where you can see the plate and I have had to stop running and pick them out as well as the occasional stone. If you are carefull and really watch where you are going you can avoid it for the most part.
I have about 80 miles on mine and I ordered a 10.5 like all my other shoes. They are def a 1/2 size too big and I have been disappointed. I feel they are way too soft and I have had a lot of hamstring pain since wearing them. I do not feel like they are much different than the HOKA MACH X. They were advertised as high mileage every day shoes and I do not feel like this will happen with mine.
Should have gone down half a size.. Baggy upper at the toebox. Very soft midsole.. I get hip pain after the run because the midsole is so soft.. The only shoes I get hip pain after the run are the Alphafly V1 and New Balance SC Trainer V2.. It's also heavy... OK for Tempo pace but to unstable at easy or recovery runs. 😢
Nimbus 25 has wayyyy more cushioning but a lot less energy return. It’s also heavier. Nimbus is more of a max Cushioned shoe rather than a tempo day/daily trainer like the sc trainer
I also ran the Detroit full marathon in this shoe and with 150 miles on them the outsole has pretty significant wear. Much worse than your pair. Overall though the shoe held up fine for the 26.2.
I think this shoe would be great if I didn’t experience v1 first. v1 was extraordinary and made running effortless. This one just doesn’t have the magic of v1.
🫶🏼 I love your Chanel.. starting with your opening introduction. I found your channel looking for a supportive sneaker #overpronator. I subscribe to your channel bc of your women’s perspective, personality, you are a New Yorker & your puppy, full time job, wife & training for a marathon. Win win.. Big Thank you.. keep on Running like Heller 🫶🏼 Ps.. I purchased the NB comp trainer 😢 the largest size women’s 12 is to small. Unfortunately I’m returning them , still running in Vongo v5 - the Propel v3 are ok for shorter runs 12 mls or less with an insole lol . happy running 🫶🏼
Thank you so much for your support. It means more than you know ❤️ ❤️ Sorry to hear about the shoes!! I hope you get a pair that fits perfectly and stays with you for many miles!
Trying to decide between this and the Deviate Nitro2. Super hard since i'm a NB fan! Great update. Stuff like this after so many miles really helps.

Both are great shoes

What a Ruff life Ruby! You deserve it!
Fantastic review! I have 160ish miles in my SC Trainer v1’s and want to try the v2’s when I retire the v1’s.
Also, digging the new camera angle!
I wore this shoe for the Detroit Marathon last week and it was perfect. My feet felt great during the race and post race as well.
Amazing!
love this shoe. i ran a good half marathon at more than 250 miles on it!

Love this shoe! Definitely going to stock up for future trainings.
Loved the v1 and would like to try the v2 but £210 in the uk roughly $256.48 including taxes
So it’s too expensive for me
Love this shoe so much! In my opinion Better than the V1
❤❤❤
It’s really a trainer cause I can do so many different runs with it!
Thanks Emily!

Yes I forgot to mention that but I have sucked up a few acorns and rocks with this outsole!
I have and still enjoy V1.
The V1 love did not last, i am replacing with these.
How does the FuelCell in SC Trainer v2 compared to the Propel v4? Is it more firm?

How does this feels compared to the elite v3?
Yup, yu used that one on NY Marathon
Thanks for the video! How would you rate the arch support in your experience? Do you have high/normal/low arches?
I think I have high arches and I had no issues

How would these compare to Rebels V4 ?
Planning on setting up an Instagram account soon. So, I can follow you on there as well. Always enjoy your reviews 👍
Thank youuuu!!
New Balance Supercomp Trainer V2 vs Puma Deviate Nitro 2, and why?
Supercomp trainer v2 because it feels lighter and bouncier
I owe you an apology Emily, I was wrong about your singing, I actually like it 😊
What's your opinion between New Balance Trainer vs Nimbus 25, most cushioning? stability? Comfort for foot??
Nimbus 25 has wayyyy more cushioning but a lot less energy return. It’s also heavier. Nimbus is more of a max Cushioned shoe rather than a tempo day/daily trainer like the sc trainer

Is it ok to walk or stand on it for a long time?
Yes
Did you get to rocks stuck in midsole groove much ?
Yes once in a while I did! Forgot to mention it
Nice thanks hi ruby
I think this shoe would be great if I didn’t experience v1 first. v1 was extraordinary and made running effortless. This one just doesn’t have the magic of v1.
You are very nice!!
How much is 250 miles in km?
402
@@RunLikeHeller how many km per week do you run?
Simple Google gets you the answer!
A training shoe that dies out after only 250 miles is a no go. Of course it doesn't matter if you are sponsored and just can get af new one for free.
I Don't F@#% with it till I hear from you.
Супер ❤❤❤❤❤
Idk if you've been told before but your nose is super cute.
This shoe does not even exist in my country
Time to move..
It's on sale in Europe for €172 but my advice is to avoid it..
