Great video. I thought this was taught in the OW course.

Thanks for your comment, Some instructors do not stress this enough in OW... Regards Bob C

This answered my issue too after I experienced this issue on my first couple of dives and I'm using the Axiom too. Thank you!

Hey James, Glad it was helpful. I believe some folks think the adjustable Valve Strap has to be fully tighten down which causes the tank to be too high for most folks. Thanks for your comment. Bob C

Good tips Bob. Love my Axiom BC. Never have any problem adjusting to different tanks. Quick and easy. Thanks for sharing

Right on Scott, It's hard to find anyone that doesn't enjoy diving their Axiom.

Your videos are very informative and wish I had viewed all of these while doing OW. I am torn between the Axiom and Dimension but am not sure how well either will travel. Most of my destinations will be warm water and require flying. The compact ones like the rogue and pro hd compact seems to really trade off some good features at the expense of making it light/packable. Any advice?

Hey Mike, All good observations and comments, BUT laughingly let me say this...
      - the Dimension and Axiom share about 50% of their parts and weight is so close it's a wash.
      - Neither are super bulky.
      - Dim's Octo and Gauge holders are "unique" vs the Ax's connection points for those pieces.
      - Pockets; Dim has Fold-Down and Ax has small/slim zippered design.
      - Shoulder pads/Rt Dump/D-rings are almost the same. I like the Ax's stretchy chest strap.
      - Lumbar pads, Trim pockets and quick disconnect valve straps are the same.
      - I do prefer the Ax's quick disconnect Tank strap.
Ever since the Hybrids have appeared, especially the Axiom, I just keep going to them even though I have a pick of all BCDs. Matter of fact, I'm buying my 3rd new one in a few days. Some folks are just "Back Inflate" indoctrinated and that's cool and some just don't know what they are missing.
I pack my BCD in my check bag and they will pretty much pack the same.
TOO MUCH ADVICE ??? Thanks for the question ! Bob C

Changing to a DIN valve gave me about an extra inch of clearance allowing me to mount my tank higher, eliminating the need for any trim weight.

That's a great option as the A-Clamp (YOKE) part of the 1st goes away and the DIN extension screws into the DIN valve port.
Problem comes in when you're faced with a tank that is not Yoke/Din convertible just Yoke. Now you're adding a DIN to Yoke adaptor to your 1st which is really worse than a standard yoke 1st.
Thanks Daniel, Good comment... Bob C
