The Bladerunner blaster is as iconic as the Aliens M41A pulse rifle. Perfection of prop engineering. So happy to see this video and I'm glad you were able to pick up a replica, It's still available out there, but way outside my price range. So I'll enjoy this and save up for a M41A replica. Oh wait, there's a Nerf version of this...
Thanks for correcting me! As this is the only gun (albeit a replica of a fictional weapon) I've ever handled, I wasn't sure of the correct terminology! 😂
The reason for the darker colour on yours is because it is a later one. Made from the 2049 movie, not the original Blade Runner movie. Early Tomenosuke Blasters were the correct colour for the Original Blaster.
I always imagined the bullets are either semi-guided or fully guided missiles. There's a scene in the film where Decker's shooting at Batty at Sebastian's and he fires a round that seems a lot more like a rocket or missile. I would assume this design was up the chances of hitting the target and taking it down.
Thats correct, and there was a box set of Blade Runner 2049 4K that had a mounted pistol stuck to its display base I believe. The Tomenosuke version seemed the best quality. Thanks for watching!
@@TheFlixFiles …..Subscribed now sir. Keep the reviews coming, I particularly enjoyed The Black Hole. I read somewhere that a remake of Enemy Mine was in the works. I love that film, don’t know anyone else who does.
I agree this is also my favorite gun in movies, sci-fi or not. The elusive history and the design of it is unmatched.

I totally agree, the pulse rifle is up there with this and Robocop's pistol!
@@TheFlixFiles The trifecta of movie prop guns.
That's called a "cylinder." The bullet exits through the "barrel." Amazing prop! I'd enjoy having one as well! Thanks for sharing.

The revolver was a Charter Arms Bulldog. A pretty cheap, but reasonably well-made .44 magnum revolver. They still make them today.

OMG... The price is really a bummer... But it looks sooooo good! >.< I want one too!
I know, big price indeed but as always you get what you pay for and it is amazing quality! 😁

The sound design of the weapon firing, so amazing!
I've always wanted replica of the Blade Runner pistol. There are so many replicas and kits out there.

The Ladd company! I thought I recognised your intro tune from the beginning of Blade Runner
Congratulations, you're the first one to notice! 😁👍

Thanks for the sub. More reviews are on the way! Another 70s sci-fi classic on Friday.
@@TheFlixFiles. Nice, I will check it out.
Yeah, I googled it for price. You can get 3 real guns in the States for that.
Amazing! I guess it's the fact that this is a replica of a fictional weapon. Thanks for your comment!
