This build looked great but I'm looking for something along these lines for PvP. I don't want to run DW and I can't seem to figure out the puzzle of ranged DK in PvP. Anyone got any suggestions on what to look at, or will this build work with some modifications?
I understand at first when the cp changed we agreed community wide that only putting 10 points into mystic tenacity was the best way to benefit from sustained by suffering.. but ive come to notice MT only affects elemental status effects.. so all other status effects non elemental are still helping SBS ( in theory) right? ive seen much more success putting all 50 into mysic tenacity bc of the amount of sunder effects im getting every single battle AND the buff to elemental dmg. or am I all wrong?
This a fun build, but my one complaint about it is that trash mobs dont live long enough and boss fights do not stay stationary long enough for the longer duration of elf bane to ever matter, runecarver however is amazing in this build

Yeah I honestly don't know why this video was released when the pts version of runecarvers never made it to the live server. It is still good, especially for multiple dots on multiple mobs, but not this good.
Sorry if this was mentioned, I don’t remember hearing you clarify this.. but does runecarvers every third dot tick also work with ground pulsing dots like eruption? Or just sticky dots.
It affects wall of elements as it's classed as a DoT. When in doubt just chuck on outgoing damage in your combat settings. If the numbers are orange, it's a DoT, if they're yellow/white, it's direct damage.
@@dertlininja and in this case they are. Nothing in this game requires that much dps. There are only a handfull of actual dps checks and the highest one requires a minimum 45k and that's vSS portals. This game isn't about dummy parse its about knowledge of mechanics
I run stam DK that leans hard into flame damage with Way of the Fire on the body, and runecaller rings, double daggers, and 1 body piece, Slime, and Oakensoul, skills are noxious breath, burning embers, eruption, flames of oblivion, spam is whip, and Ult is standard of might... i parse around 60-65k with it which is good enough for me...

@@unclebanana Magsorc and stamsorc, and others claim magplar or stamplar are good classes for the veteran arenas. Magblade is good - that's if you understand their playstyle, but it's a learning curve.
I have run vet vateshran with this build with adjustments. I had 30 points in health 30 in magicka, switched out eruption with coagulating for burst heal, switched out lash for talons for the filler. The rotation is a bit different, I basically just did a heavy attack rotation per casting filler talons, dots, and heal. Tho a regular lightning staff heavy attack build with sergeants feels a lot better than this.
Again, would have been a fantastic PVP DK set but was nerfed into the ground because it hits too hard on a stationary dummy in a guild house 🥴 Thanks again Zos
please metion that this build is not good enough for veteran trials... for 4 ppl dungeons and for non DLC normal trials it is enough i would say.. vet trial groups especially DLC ones require more dps or support set with 2 bars.. and also mention that this build will not work in normal or veteran Cloudrest because of a Boss mechanic
I’ve played DK since launch. Been through the bad times and the good times. I use my DK for Mag, Stam, and Tanking. My favorite class.

Runecarver's blaze was changed since the PTS. It no longer procs the burning effect. You lose a ton....

No it's has plenty of dps I cleared vCR with it twice back to back. Dummy humps are useless and don't teach no one anything and don't matter anyway.

You have to sacrifice a lot of dps in veteran areanas. Survivability is mandatory. Magdk is not the best class for Vateshran.
