Hello dear, this weekend was a really great one (in regard of me and RAYE, so many great new uploads - reactions, but also her performance at the MTV 2024 EMAs -, but as usual your video is my favorite one among all of the new reactions, partly because of the song, but also you are so relatable to me, watching your reactions to her is like looking into a soul mirror, which, after all the time I've been knowing you, I still find very amazing, given our differences in age, upbringing, culture, occupation and so on... I'm feeling less weird loving things like this, while half the world is singing A-P-A-P-T... knowing I'm not the only one whom RAYE is getting into their feels... and the way you're blending crying and smiling is very beautiful! I'm generally quite satisfied with how things are working out for RAYE (apart from her songbooks being stolen with her car...), have you heard she got two GRAMMY nominations for 2025 (categories "Best New Artist" and "Songwriter of the Year (non-classical)? There's a short of her on Insta and also here on YT, shedding some tears when hearing the news... I so much hope she'll win at least one, but the competition is tight. Edit: Tonight she won MTV EMA's "Best Artist" for the UK and Ireland - well deserved! And the fact of her being nominated for two GRAMMY's speaks volumes, and I'm sure that's just the beginning.. - I know I'll have to be patient until a new album release, but I have a feeling that second one will be even more incredible than her debut once she's finished it, and then she could also compete on the GRAMMY's with an album and songs... But apart from her major hits like Escapism and some more there already are still so many great recordings like this one which are completely underrated and need to be discovered by more people... so thank you for helping with spreading the word! For next week's RAYEaction I suggest, of course, her performance at the EMA's, which is another medley (Escapism, Oscar Winning Tears, Body Dismorphia), and again, completely unbelievable and mesmerizing, I thought I knew the songs, but never heard them in that way. By now I should be used to her constantly switching the arrangements and moods of her songs, yet I wasn't prepared for today's performance. If that is how she reacts to her songbooks being stolen I'm fine with that, she'll rewrite them from memory and improve them, and write new and even better ones, so what? She's a survivor and that will make her even stronger, she can start from scrap anytime and deliver divinity... Peace out!
