I think it is more so the fact that you at fullscreen getting zoned 90% of the match not cause people hate complex characters

Its like they don't want you to risk taking the time to learn a hard character because the moment they are even somewhat viable they get shot in the knee and you've wasted all the time you put into the character. Like I want to pick up asuka for real but I also don't want to cause I know they'll bust his kneecaps because of everyone whining and I'll have wasted my time. Also axl does full-screen zoning but people don't complain about him because full screen pressure isn't the real issue people complain about

Me looking for Guilty Gear Strive characters that nobody hates and complains about(There aren't)
Looking through the comment section on Asuka videos in particular, it seems that many people watch these videos just to see the Asuka player lose - which is fine, but I would never go out of my way to watch a player (especially a known strong one like Gobou) use a character I don't like, and expect them to lose - only to complain/make an angry comment about the character and/or the player's playstyle, just because the match(es) didn't project what I was hoping for. That, in my opinion, is a very unhealthy behavior; and also shows a lack of emotional maturity. But the saying, "I hate fighting every character, except the one I'm currently playing" is prominent in the FGC/GG community for a reason...

Fr, coming here only to pray for a player to lose is probably the most disgusting type of mentality a man can have. Like you can don't like a player, there are some players over there that I don't like, like Leffen for how he is when away from the screen , but I recognize that he's a skilled player and I don't go to his streams just for hope him to lose(In fact, I don't watch his content at all, why I should give my time to a person I don't like?) , and the same goes for the other players that I don't like. Gobou has not reason to be hated because he doesn't do anything wrong at all, people just hate him for being to good, and that's just stupid.If the problem is Gobou being way too good, what? can't a guy suprass an invisible gap of skill because if they do, they will be hated? or is just that they can't be better than you because your ego couldn't stand it?
If the problem is Asuka, you guys are also wrong, he's not even the 3rd best character in the game, and no, he isn't build like this, only Gobou and the best Asuka players can pull this shit because they are really good with him.
Asuka haters think that the Gear Maker is a "free win" character, when losing with him is way more easy because of the big quantity of skill and resource management he requires from the player.
For all the people that hate Asuka, I propose you a fun activity, purchase him on the store and go to any floor in tower without labbing him first at all and do at least 3 whole games. Once you finish, tell me how it did go and we will discuss how really "broken" Asuka is.
@@M-TriggerNgl I agree with you , HC is the hardest character to play in the game by far but is the best to second best character in the game. But ppl act like he's like Ram, Nago, Leo, May, or Sol where you can pick him up and just win. Same with Asuka

Despite how solid gobous defense is even just a small slip up he’s getting screwed so hard for it.
Gobou said that If you lose the opening game, you will be drained of health and mana, and you won't even be given a chance to reverse the situation. The match at 5:08 is a perfect example of that statement; that round was 17 seconds - one of the shortest rounds I've ever seen in GGST history. Moreover, Gobou also said that it's very easy for Sin to catch/touch Asuka, so the situations Gobou gets put in throughout these sets are not uncommon. Also, to the people complaining about Asuka not being an "interactive" character, try to play the character like Sol, Gio, or Chipp, and then you'll realize that the character is not designed to play traditional footsies. Look how Gobou is fighting for his life each time Sin gets his Asuka in the corner; if the character was meant to play "interactive", then I'm sure ASW would have made Asuka's attacks/frame data differently. Anyway, I will stop before someone calls me an Asuka downplayer (even though I play multiple characters)...

You appear to stalk and reply to almost every post I make here, and you need to find better things to do with your life. Further, for you to call me a downplayer when you are the D4C/Konakon of Sol is laughable. Regarding the Sol/Asuka MU, you can tell yourself all you want that it is Asuka favored - you apparently play a different game than the rest of us - and I know that since you mentioned Asuka is your 2nd-3rd worst MU, and based off of your responses to me, your ego will not allow the thought that perhaps you need to get better at the game, Asuka MU, improve your offense/defense, or you're being outplayed by the Asuka users. Just for your information, there is a difference between a personal bad match up, and a character-specific bad match up.
My posts attempt to provide insight from players far beyond my skill level in this game to help them out, while all of your responses to my messages do nothing but use other's words against them in order to "win" the argument, display a lack of emotional maturity, impartiality, humility, and introspection. And you wonder why nobody ever responds to you, because it's nothing but a waste of their time.
With that being said, I propose a challenge: Play me in a FT - whatever in GGST (could be a FT 3, FT 5, ect), and if I beat you, then stop responding to my posts and leave me be. You can also pick the date, time and lobby/room, ect. If you decline my challenge, then I will just continue to ignore you, and you will be promptly blocked. Please have a great rest of your day.

This is why Asuka is my favorite character in this game. It takes an incredible amount of skill and resource management to produce this intense pressure, but oh is it beautiful.
If people want a fix to Asuka, then they should make his cubes not do chip damage. The worst thing about fighting him is seeing all your tension go down the drain and your health steadily get worn down by endless cubes. There's nothing really wrong with the way Asuka is. It's a good thing to have such a technical character, but not inflicting free chip damage would pressure Asuka to mix things up more or risk draining his own health to oblivion.
They don't need to fix him, there's nothing wrong with him.

No. They need to nerf just the regen card and reduce auto bookmark by 1.
All they need to do is create any mana deficit and itll stop which means green card needs to be hit.
If they separate them it wont fix the issue because you can carry cards between decks.

Literally 70% of the cast can already TOD him when hes out of mana as it stands. The char is punished for making mistakes. Nerfing the entire point of the char because you dont want to block.

The problem is this level zoning is really high compared to every other character is GG(at this high level of course). At least in Marvel there are more characters that provide decent enough counter play
i remember when gobou started playing asuka and we all thought it was cool but honestly he plays the exact same way against every single character and I'm getting bored of it

honestly i agree i know whatever he’s doing is hard to execute but the whole cubes thing gets old after the 100th time you see it.
it’s not even that legible as a viewer and idk how the people playing against know what’s happening either. i think asuka is cool as a character, but he’s not very fun to watch imo.
