    🔎 About socials:
    If I tag socials, then this should be done for ALL players (without a single exception), and not just for one person. Socials of some players can not be found (players with default nicknames, some Asian players, etc). I am convinced that it's extremely dishonest to tag contacts of few people and not to tag all the rest, so there will be no social links in description.
    But I respect the players whose matches I post. Therefore, if you are sure that videos presented "as is" are not acceptable, I will stop posting content with your participation and remove the ones posted earlier.
    If you want to tag socials by yourself, feel free to post usernames in comment section (TH-cam may remove links).

    Tbh I feel like Zato players should swap to Chaos or Asuka this patch

      My post might sound a bit condescending, but that is not my intention. NA/EU Zato players have already tried switching to Asuka, but they have never accomplished anything meaningful with the character, then dropped the character the second they were "nerfed." Chaos also got hit pretty hard with nerfs, so everyone having a pocket HC appears to no longer be a viable solution; combine that with the fact that despite how notoriously strong HC and Asuka were, they are not "pick-up and play" characters - like many people seem to think.
      Therefore, most of the NA/EU Zato players either picked up another character (Sol is a popular choice), or switched back to Zato, because that was still their best character - despite the nerfs. Gobou said that Asuka is a character directly tied to your mood; so if you aren't feeling well, it will show in your gameplay. I know this applies to all characters to an extent, but Gobou has been playing GG/fighting games for a very long time, and according to them, Asuka is very special in this regard - if you don't believe in the abilities/have faith in your Asuka gameplay, you won't do well no matter how strong or high this character ever gets in the tier list - because Asuka is too hard of a character to just "play until my character gets buffed again." If you want to play this character at a high level, be prepared to put in the work; I know Case 3 can carry players, but it carries less now post nerfs and people are starting to learn the match-up. No offense to the players of these characters, but Asuka isn't like Ram, Nago, Leo, Sin, etc, where if you are already are a good player, you can dominate mid-level competition with the character in a day - a week.
      Last, Latif is a poor sport in GGST/fighting games, and rages when they lose, so I do not feel anything for them at all. Oh, you keep losing to Asuka? Okay, time to lab counterplay instead of just complaining. I know that Asuka is inherently hard to fight against due to the character's unpredictability, but I know Latif can do better. I didn't watch this particular video, but I've seen how Latif handles Zando's Asuka, and they do not know how to fight the character, or attempt to hit the cubes at all. Moreover, want to know the biggest shocker? This MU is even - Zato-favored according to Gobou - and Gobou, having the best Asuka in the world while also having the best Zato (IMO) would know these characters' weaknesses and strengths. If you want to see how a Zato player that knows how to fight Asuka does, watch Gobou's 12/10 stream at about 43 minutes in - search for "御傍 (ごぼう)" and his channel will be the first result. Now I know the Asuka player was not on Gobou's level, but neither is Zando/any other NA/EU Asuka player, so it's still a good demonstration of what Zato can do in this MU, as klllk is a very Good Asia Asuka player. Tights, the Zato player, also knows how to fight Asuka very well (thanks to playing long sets with Gobou), and they occasionally stream on YT.

    • @waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301
      @waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @sherperd254 klllk is a fairly strong Asia Asuka player, Gobou just makes the MU look one-sided because they know when to destroy cubes, challenge fake blockstrings, and are just a better player overall than their opponent (the Asuka player). I watched this video, and Latif is failing every Asuka knowledge-check known to man, and doesn't even try to attack cubes, or challenge Zando's Asuka - when they had *plenty* of opportunities, is not looking at Asuka's spells, and is playing impatient. Zando's Asuka has more of a keep-away type of playstyle, where they want the opponent to chase them; Latif is playing into it, and doesn't keep Zando blocking like Gobou does with Zato. The reason these matches look Zando-favored, is because Zando spent 3 years playing Latif - they know their playstyle/mix-ups like the back of their hand - Latif doesn't know Asuka counterplay at all - who do you think will win, or be more comfortable in this MU?
      Regarding the streams, I have timestamps and dates for both tights and Gobou:
      *Search "Tights GGST," find their channel, it is the 1/3/24 stream* - 7:40 minutes in, and the *12/8/23 stream* - 44 minutes in; tights plays two Asukas in a row.
      *After you find Gobou's YT channel, view the 11/29/23 stream.*
      Gobou fights a pretty good Asuka in the beginning - and although I have nothing against Zando and I think this player might be a cheater (for reasons mentioned in another post), Gobou has long sets vs. Chocoservant starting at 2:42:05 - Chocoservant online is better than Zando, or any other NA/EU could ever hope to be, so this is a really good indication of how well Gobou (and tights) knows how to fight Asuka. Gesui is the 2nd best Asuka after Gobou, but Gobou has never fought them, hence, why they are not mentioned. Also, most of those streams are of pre-nerf Asuka, so the matches will look harder for Gobou's Zato... however, now that Gobou has completely figured out how to fight Asuka, most matches of Gobou vs. Asuka players will look like the 12/10/23 match.

      @@waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301I think u need to snap back into reality for second. I don’t think u realize that, 1 this MU is DEFINITELY not even or zato favored at that. 2 gobou is not a zato up player and believes the char is competitively unviable. 3 zato has lost everything that made him high-top tier these last few patches while keeping all of his legacy flaws. If you know some secret zato tech that leads u to believe he is still a functioning character, id love to hear it. Btw I do believe zato season 2 was favored in this MU, but u can’t look at this version of zato and tell me that he even beats any char in the game besides bed man and pot.

    • @waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301
      @waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @Albert-df2jo Gobou said that Zato is maybe favored in the match-up vs. Asuka, not me. When a player states that X character may have an advantage against Y character, the worst the match-up can get for X character is even/50/50 - the opposite usually never occurs - especially if said player uses both characters in question. This was like in a December stream, so well into season 3. This may sound harsh, and it is not my intention; but Gobou is better with both Zato and Asuka than we will ever hope to be, so I am not arguing with him regarding character match-ups. I won't be responding to any more of your posts going forward, but I do advise you to stop being in denial regarding this MU and stop downplaying Zato...

Also, if u ask literally ANY other zato player they will tell u this is losing. Gobou isn’t the only zato player. If u can give me a reason y this MU is even at best isntead just saying “well, gobou said this so it must be true” than pls don’t even bother trying to argue this. I’m not downplaying I’m simply sating the facts here. Zato lost everything that made him strong, kept all his legacy flaws, and the system mechanics do not work in his favor. Pls open ur eyes and at least play the MU urself and come up with ur own opinion instead of just taking what gobou says as the gospel.

      @shyguy4617 Only an Asuka on Gobou's level - and to this day, more than 6 months later - there are none. I have played just about every tower Asuka player from floor 10 to Celestial - including Gobou - and their pressure does not even compare to Gobou's. When Gobou gets started, you most likely will *Never* play again in that round/set; with other Asuka players, there are gaps and fake blockstrings that can be challenged, or YRC'd. Gobou keeps his suffocating pressure airtight most of the time, and will bait Bursts, YRCs, etc. No offense, but if you play NA/EU Asuka's, I've seen them and they do not even compare to Gobou in terms of conversions, oppression, and strategy. Their pressure is not on the same level of oppression as pre-nerf season 3 HC, and especially not season 2 HC... Gobou, yeah, but he is the best Asuka player in the world hands down.
