I love this series! Good choice keeping the Star Seeker Tarot. I love everything about it and it gets heavy use in my collection. I’ve even considered getting a 2nd copy of it!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has trouble reading with decks with this blended, blurred art style. There is something in my brain that happens when my eye can't quite grab onto what it's seeing, it creates a pause and distracts me from my intuition. Like you Lisa, I like to have some definition in the art - even if it's busy and colorful, I can work with it if I can tell what I'm looking at right away. I've had to let some wonderful decks go because of this quirk (decks like Prisma Visions come to mind).
YES blended/blurred is kinda what I was trying to describe!!! Prisma Visions is one I (still) struggle with. I rehomed it once, repurchased during the Cosma Visions kickstarter... mrrr... it's tough for me when there's not definition.
I’m in this camp as well. Maybe partly because I do a lot of reading in the evening with just a table lamp lol. But if I have to struggle to see the art or to make out the image it just creates a slight hiccup or hesitation to the reading that makes me not reach for that deck as much. I got Prisma visions in that campaign too, and I’m still trying to figure out if I’ll be able to work with it.
I love love love the tarot of the divine, I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. Being Nigerian, even though it's not my specific side of Nigeria, I felt so happy that there was a card that talked about Nigerian mythology. The fairytales are from almost all regions of all continents which I just have not seen in a deck.
Love this series! I've been wanting to get the Authurian tarot, but like you, I wasn't sure about the washed out artwork. There's still just something about it that calls me. 🙂
Love all the pairings in this video, Lisa! Interestingly, I have two copies each of the Tarot of the Divine and Ethereal Visions just because those are my workhorse decks for client readings. I still haven’t bought the Star Seeker Tarot but am planning to get it next month. It’s begging to be in my collection! 🤍
I love Ethereal Visions for its clarity. When my mind is cluttered, it's the deck I often reach for because the imagery is clear - - and yet intricately beautiful. Plus there is a mass market Dreamscapes Oracle coming out. (Same artist) But I can understand you not keeping it if it does not resonate for you. That's just what I love about it. 😊
As always, I enjoyed this video (and series!). While I'm excited that Lisa Hunt is going to do a KS on the Fairytale Tarot, I'm also wondering if my Forest of Enchantment Tarot now scratches that itch for me 🧐Looove the look of the Star Seeker, but the cardstock does look super thick. Thanks for sharing! 💜
As someone with a SUPER small collection, how cool to see Star Seeker and Ethereal Visions in one video! I love Ethereal Visions, it called to me in 2018 and was my first deck in 2020 and is my workhorse. When I need a straight answer I get it, but the colors being soft keeps it gentle. Then Star Seeker is my shadow work deck - I clear my mind and pull a card and come up with shadow work questions surrounding that card. I need to work with it more because my deck is still kinda clunky to shuffle due to the gilding.
For the siren’s melody, it’s a struggle for me because I would just trim the deck to get rid of the borders but then the beautiful backs would be gone. But I do not like the borders and it’s the biggest thing that’s kept me from getting it.
these are always fun, Lisa! I succumbed to the hype about The Tarot of the Divine. My most regretted tarot purchase. There is something about it.....I can't even look at it. I think Lisa Hunt's deck is classic and has proven it's popularity. I finally got Etheral Visions last year and it's just blah for me. I haven't even used it once....in the "going away box". I feel the same about Pagan Otherworlds. I rarely use it, but it seems sacrilegious to get rid of it. So it stays. Great purge this time!!
Whoo Lisa I’m so excited. So I unfortunately missed out on the fairytale Tarot by Lisa Hunt, because I’ve only recently gotten into Tarot, but I’m so excited that it’s being reprinted by US Games hopefully in the next couple of years. I live in Australia, so I’d probably have to order it from Amazon but I’m fine with that, this deck will probably be my soul deck, I absolutely love folktales and fairytales and it’s totally my ascetic
I think I commented on how I couldn't decide cause their both good for different reasons, and after watching you talk about why you are leaning on The Star Seeker Tarot, over the Siren's Melody Tarot. Even though The Star Seeker's Tarot is beautiful I do like The Siren's Divine Tarot, I love that fact that it's an Ocean deck without it having mermaids in it and am not a BIG FAN OF MERMAIDS! It will be on my radar for decks on my wish list.
Can't wait for the kickstarter of Lisa Hunt's Fairytale Tarot! And I love the art of the Ethereal Visions, BUT I hate gold foil or shiny-yellow gold in genereal. I know it's part of what makes it special for many people. But for me it's the reaseon I'll never buy it.
I’m glad you decided to keep Legend the Arthurian, ever since my blast from the past rediscovery of it I’ve decided it’s really underrated as a deck these days although I WISH they’d release a version with no borders and with the saturation and contrast bumped up a little bit on the artwork! When Lisa hunt’s fairytale Kickstarter goes up I’m going to be really torn because I’ve always been a little meh about decks where every card references a different fairytale, but will the fact it was unavailable for so long lead me to a FOMO purchase? Quite possibly 😂
Omg I thought I was the only person. I totally have a honeymoon phase then put it on the shelf lol. If you ever rehome Ethereal Visions, I'll buy it seriously.
Good Call, Siren's melody is SO PRETTY. I let Pagan Otherworlds go a long time ago. I just don't like it that much. I am forever giving my Ethereal Visions the side eye...but I can't let it go...yet.
I'm surprised by the Ethereal Visions and The Psychic Tarot, that deck has read really well predictively for me, which is not something I often do, but when I do, I go for that deck. I'm tempted by the fairytale Tarot!
Lol. That Angel Tarot is everything I dislike in a deck. 🤣 I love this series. I quite like the Psychic Tarot of the Heart so I've been considering the Psychic Tarot.
Please take another look at "Siren's Melody"!! If I was fortunate to have that deck, I could not see it going anywhere! Of course I've never seen it in person or worked with it, but the art alone is right up my alley! Such a beauty for sure!
lol as laughing I was yelling at the screen "Unicorns , Lisa, Unicorns Omg " Love these vids, it is great to look at different deck I love Angel Tarot by Radleigh Valentine ... ..
Addendum: I am glad to hear you have a drawer to keep questionable decks tucked away until you are absolutely certain they need to be rehomed! Great idea!!
I feel the same on the psychic tarot it was one of my first decks I got in my early 20s and I barely used it, and now I have so mantle deck thanks to your inspiration I wanna de clutter but like you said it’s mass market so hard to do so.
Just watched the block party and tower takeover giveaway video… It would be so cool if you could continue giveaways from Kickstarter campaigns either of you have backed. It’s a great way to help people who don’t have Kickstarter or missed some decks as well as someone else who might be having trouble getting a tarot deck.
I would like to see your Psychic Tarot walkthrough. I’ve always been on the fence about that one. I’ve seen the Angel Tarot in so many deck collections videos and never realized that there are mermaids/unicorns in it. Now that you’ve mentioned it, I’m sold. 😂 I thought it was only angels and fairies. Star Seeker is one of my favorite decks. I’m glad you’re keeping it. 😂
Hi Lisa, if you do decide to let the Ancestral path tarot go, I am interested. I have tried to find that book everywhere! Please let me know. Thanks! Julie
I would have love to buy the Siren's melody tarot, I reached out to the creator several times about international shipping, I first got an answer that they were looking into it, but then never really got an answer when I asked for updates about international shipping, I'm really sad I wasn't able to grab this deck honestly :/
If I DO decide to let it go, I'll probably list it for trade in the Supportive Tarot fb group during Tarot Trade Tuesday if I don't do another video about decks I'm letting go!
I'd love to see a "foiled deck" comparison. I'd like to add one to my collection but i'm inclined to just grab anything that's shiny and foiled. Like the Ethereal Visions, I love the images, but do I like them as tarot cards, or just as images.
You know, some decks are in my collection because I like the illustrations. These decks are like mini art galleries. I like them but don't read with them. Nothing wrong with that!
Curious to know if you sell the decks you let go online? Sorry if this was mentioned elsewhere! A bit new to your channel! Absolutely love all your deck hauls, antihauls, deep dives!! 💕💕
It depends! :) Mass market decks, I typically rehome locally. Indie decks I often list in the Supportive Tarot facebook group during Tarot Trade Tuesday. Sometimes I end up gifting to friends. It just depends!
I love John Holland’s The Spirit Messages but could not jive with The Psychic Tarot every time I scanned the images to buy... like you said, to me, it felt very dated just from the colors used to the hairstyles of the women, etc. I know people love Uusi decks but I just can’t get on that bandwagon. The art technique is gorgeous (museum gorgeous) but aside from that I wouldn’t look at it that often just for the museum quality and in addition it feels a little stagnant and boring to me. I’m not sure what the craze is but it’s not that exciting. Personal opinion but I wish I had the lens of the people who love Uusi decks but I am so curious. I’m not as into Ethereal Visions because it does feel like a dated coloring book from when I was a kid (the cheap ones) but I appreciate Art Nouveau style art and this gets closest to that aesthetic for me besides the Aquarian Tarot. I still hold on to the Etheral Visions but almost never use it. It’d be cool if you did a purgatory update.
I ❤️ the Tarot of the Divine! The diversity really draws me in!
Me tooooo!

YES I think the fables and references from all over the world are the best part about it!!!
I love that you love the Angel Tarot too. It was one of my first decks that wasn't Pamela Coleman Smiths artwork. It's an old friend.
Love this series! I've been wanting to get the Authurian tarot, but like you, I wasn't sure about the washed out artwork. There's still just something about it that calls me. 🙂

Meep yeah that Forest of Enchantment Tarot gives ALLL the fairytale vibes, doesn't it?!

Update. Star seeker is now my self care deck. Funny how you buy a deck with a purpose in mind and the deck says "no way! This is why I'm here!"
For the siren’s melody, it’s a struggle for me because I would just trim the deck to get rid of the borders but then the beautiful backs would be gone. But I do not like the borders and it’s the biggest thing that’s kept me from getting it.
Yay..!!! I love this series!!!
I like Tarot of the Divine because it’s more inclusive and I love the art.
Me tooooooo!

The “hello?” Looking for air in the angel tarot deck was just everything 😂 loving your videos and thank you for all videos and information 🥰
🤣😂💖
I’m so glad you didn’t unhaul Tarot of the Divine or the Angel Tarot. I have both and love them. Your walkthrough convinced me to get the Angel Tarot.
Aw :D Heheh Glad you picked up the Angel Tarot - it's so lovely!
Oh no! I just found this series of yours, that I‘m going to have to binge!
Hope you enjoy!
I would like to buy the Spanish version on the Fairytale Tarot. I prefer my decks in Spanish. Please lmk if/when you are ready to let it go.
Drop me an email! (email address on my YT about page!) and I will do that!
Just watched the block party and tower takeover giveaway video…

LOL I never did film the Psychic Tarot of the Heart walkthrough because I SO brutalized it in a modification/trim gone wrong!

Oh the ancestor path would pair great, with the new ancestor spirit oracle. Sorry. 🤦🏼♀️. I’m no help. Lol
OOoooh I need to check out Ancestor Spirit Oracle - it might be a good one for my Past Life Readings!
