      @@DariStep great job on the production for this video - agree with everyone else saying you've stepped it up a gear. Even the advert/partnership with the brand was pretty seamless, as you've used your own clips to detail it. Awesome work.

    Turkey is such a cultural hot spot, full of history and great coffee. Some day I hope I can visit all these wonderful cities. For now I'll settle for travel vlogs. As for the flags on the boats, my guess is 15. Great editing skills and what a lovely video you produced. You looked amazing as per usual! Thank you 🙏 btw gotta love those cats 😹

    Another smash hit, Dari. 😄👍 From a personal travel vlog standpoint, the pacing was just fine. The drone shots added a higher professional production value to the overall video (as well as previous efforts). The views were stunning and you coupled you and your friend's adventures together well with general travel and historical information about the places you stopped at.
    I liked how you converted certain costs into dollars and temperatures into Fahrenheit for those potential visitors coming from across the pond. That was helpful. The fact that you are trying to cut on action and a moving camera to keep the video flowing at a nice clip shows your editing techniques are improving. Keep up the good work.
    The only piece of advice I would give to you this time is if you find the audio is unusable when you get it into your editing software, just narrate over B-roll footage (and always take more B-roll video than you think you need to cover for any mistakes) rather than having noisy, hard to understand audio or trying to lip sync over the top (and not having the voice and lips match 😉). Whenever you shoot video with dialog, always remember to use a mic very close to your mouth so your voice cuts through the noise of a motor, loud people, waves crashing, etc. If you are in a windy area trying to capture sound, look at buying a fuzzy wind protection cover specifically made for your portable lav mic.
    I see you remembered your hat this time. 😄
    Thanks again for sharing your wonderful and amazing travels with us, and I wish you continued success with your future videos and live chats.

    Finally Dari got a sponsor ! First of many I hope!
    I actually think these videos are not only good but Extremely complex compared to most travel bloggers. The number of shots and cuts is huge and blending different complementary shots from the ground and drone.
    I do thing you need a particular piece of tech : a microfont with noise cancelling capability. Not the one you already use for recording speach, but one for ambient recording that connects to the thunderbolt port on your phone.
    So Dari, now that your skills have gotten waaaayyyy better in the last year I think I can have a suggestion / request : you can introduce short HyperLapse shots taken with your drone. Maybe even al night. The place you are going is Perfect for trying this !

You should look John Bradshaw up online, get his photo to see if you recognize him walking about in Istanbul. John Bradshaw has 12K followers should be easy to find with that information. Great video! One comment about the cemetery. These graves are from recent years. The first date with the D is the year of birth - for some reason they have chosen to use the Islamic year for the date. On the other hand, they have used the Western Gregorian date (normally used in daily life in Turkiye) for the date of death signified by the letter O. This summer my daughter and I visited the graves of her maternal Turkish grandparents and aunt in Izmir which had a very similar design, although all the dates were in the 1900's and 2000's.

    voaww definitely a masterpiece and so professional.. I think you've made a great product out of your experience and have a huge potential for vlogs no matter where you are! 17 minutes passed in the blink of an eye. I felt like it is a teamwork and part of a business but you've all made it alone (along with your friend and the support of the sponsor).
    Some notes;
    6:13 A huge difference in audio magnitude (due to the wind) that can be handled in a relevant software, which can be nice as another skill and useful whenever needed for your further work
    11:37 D stands for birth, Ö stands for death so they were buried in 1900s not 1200s or 1300s :) For birth though, only some has such strange years; maybe its a mistake or some sort of tradition that I don't know (1297 supposed to be 1897, 1314;1914 and 1341;1941 etc.)

      Thanks for placing the missing info into my comment! Yes totally makes sense, I remembered it now so not 600 but 579 years should be added for conversion (e.g. 1341 becomes 1920 not 1941) which seems more reasonable in terms of lifespan too :)
      As the calendar form was changed in 1926, it is normal for some of them who registered earlier.

    The inscription 1314 on the tombstones was written according to the lunar calendar.
    Ancient people used to calculate their birth and death dates according to the Hijri calendar(lunar calender), that is, according to the lunar calendar, with the habit left over from the Ottoman Empire.
    1314 actually means the year 1896

    Hello Dari, it's a great video i enjoyed watching it :) just i wanted to point out that at the 11:35 you mention that some people are burried in 1200s and 1300s. It's not a correct information, because before in Turkey we used different calendar called the hegira. 1200s equal to 1800s. You can see at 11:39 it says "D." means birth and "Ö" means death year.

    This is a great video and with perfect drone views. I can see how you stayed there for some time, because it was possible to have a large selection of views to choose from for this last version. By the standards of the summer holiday season, I think it was not very crowded. Good you mentioned prices and how exactly to reach the destination by bus for individual tourists, as this is often not included.
    The diving was a good adventure, and it's a good habit to try new things when you go to new places. Sadly, it doesn't look good for Turkey and it's people. The summer tourists did bring fresh money into the country, but now they will have a long winter with more inflation and despair.

    Hi Dari! Love your videos! 💚
    This is a suggestion:
    Upload your videos on Thursday instead of Sunday if your goal is to have more views!
    On Sundays (or the weekend), most people are away from their computers. They spend most of their time winding down to prepare for a busy Monday.
    But by Thursday, people start to look forward to their time off for the upcoming weekend. They start searching for entertaining content.
    Try it! Especially since you make travel vlogs. Posting on a Thursday just before the weekend can give people ideas about what to do and where to go 🙃

    This video made me feel like I was on vacation just by watching it. Gorgeous scenery, and the scenes by the water felt so relaxing... But I never would have guessed that some of the nightlife scenes were filmed in Turkey. Maybe Amsterdam or Miami, but not Turkey. 😀

    It looked quite appealing, maybe next year. I think the graves stone dates may have related to much more recent times using an Islamic calendar.

    Great video. Understandable, great views, and a large variety of activities. In short, a place that can result in a fun vacation for anyone with any taste and budget. Great job on the ad for Safety Wing Travel/Health Insurance. ( Guarrenteed payment regardless of how many views of this video!) From two other You Tube video creators; this part of Turkiye is the vacation fun spot for many Western Europeans with two main mentions of UK and France. I am sure the Russians would be equally welcomed here as in Cyprus. The only place that may swing this much for tourism is Batumi, Georgia. ( from viewing Slava's videos) Eva Zu Beck left the Batumi area by booking a room on a cargo vessel at very reasonable rate. ( she also had lots of men trying to pick her up for a date or possible wife)

    The majority of your viewers will have no idea abt the time and effort it cost to make such video. It. It only shows the beautiful scenery but also gives an idea abt prices. The drone shots certainly contribute to the very good result of this video. From a touristic point of view Turkey is excellent. However to build an international career in business this country will have many obstacles, especially if u cannot read/speak Turkish. Nevertheless I’m convinced u will succeed. Your social skills together with your knowledge of English and the results of your studies can be exploited in many other countries than Turkey. Wishing u lots of success🙋🏻‍♂️

      Where are you from? Turkish lira has fallen by almost 50% against my countries currency in the last year - which is bad for them, but makes it insanely good value for people visiting from Britain right now.

    • @Benjaminimal
      @Benjaminimal 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      For the past 15-ish years in a row, the Turkish lira has been trending down in value. Turkey is probably a cheaper destination for you than you think. As Dari explains, prices are quite affordable when converted to USD:-)

    • @stevegfromnc3482
      @stevegfromnc3482 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you are from the US, Canada, or Western Europe, you will find that prices will consistently be 50-75% lower than at home. Even though they rise rapidly in lira, the number of lira you get for your dollar or euro rises just as fast. The people who have a real problem are the Turks who mostly are not getting weekly or monthly pay raises to keep up.
