Hari Om Just since you asked... there are several breeds of chook that have orange(ish) colouring; the Orpington Buff is light orange, the Red Star has orange and white... but the Lesser-spotted Courtney Chook is new to the market!!! That boat trip looked fabulous... and that food at the end was drool-worthy. Loved the amphitheatre and the goat... which clearly loved banana!!! Another fun vid, m'dears - here's to many more and loads more great spots for you in 2022. YAM xx

Been there a couple of times during high season and have fed the turtles (the boats sell blue crab for your delectation and turtles love crab). The shell was probably a land tortoise that live wild in Turkey. Did you also know the river was used to film scenes of the African Queen with Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn? Great vlogs as usual. Keep up the good work guys.
Oh wow I had no idea you can feed the turtles in high season! That just makes me want to go back even more (just a shame it will be so packed at that time of year because we love places when they are quiet). Hey Simon, gosh what a big question!! It really depends what you want from your travels and how much your budget is. There are so many different options out there and the best advice I give anyone is to test out a few different vans/layouts on holidays (or preferably longer periods of time) and get a feel for what you enjoy driving and what space and layout you prefer. We've built our van out twice now because we didn't realise what we wanted the first time and made a lot of assumptions, which was a very costly overhaul. Renting and testing is such an overlooked phase of buying a van - whether it's coach built or self build/converted. Hope that's helpful :)

my friend the boats are the real danger for the turtles here maybe to use sailboat or a canoe =))

Did you have faith in the boat after you saw the very wobbly steering wheel on the boat. I'd be questioning the maintenance schedule of that boat. LOL
