The Philippines’ national security Adviser Eduardo Ano has called for Chinese diplomats to be expelled over an alleged leak of a phone conversation with a Filipino admiral. In a significant escalation of a bitter row over the South China Sea, Ano on May 10, 2024, accused China’s embassy in Manila of orchestrating “repeated acts of engaging and dissemination of disinformation, misinformation and malinformation”. Ano said the actions “should not be allowed to pass unsanctioned without serious penalty”.

Recording your own telephone conversation is not wire tapping. You can expect that all official diplomatic telephone conversations are recorded by both parties.

Learn from your past when Deng Xiaoping visited the ASEAN countries to counter Vietnam supported by Russia then. Look at what Singapore PM Lee Kuan Yew's visit to China and his responses to what Deng did to garner the support of ASEAN countries. Remember also Philippine did kick out the American base but your aggressive actions has allowed them to come back again. It is easy if you want a fight, you will get it for sure. But peace and mutually beneficial co-operation is better and enhances the whole ASEAN region. I respect Deng and his pragmatic approach in making China great and peaceful then.

That is why India is so desperate to have the "Henderson Brooks and Neville Maxwell report of the 1962 war" concealed forever and also to hide which country is the true aggressor of the war. When it was leaked into the internet momentarily in 2014, India demanded the report to be purged permanently from the internet citing "national security"....just like BBC's documentary on the 2002 Gujarat Massacre and Modi's involvement.
