Hey Mana, speaking on Japan, have you read Shogun or Musashi? For me Shogun lead to other James Clavell books and to Whirlwind, which helped with my interest in Iran and a desire to visit. Hopefully your cheap rent accommodation can help you save to get to Japan. If I had nothing tieing me down, I'd pack a bag and put my thumb out and head East.
Well, after watching the TV adaptation of Shogun, I got interested in the book itself. I`ll definitely put your recommendations into my reading list. I hope that both of us get the chance to live where our heart is pumping for :)
Hope can be a dangerous thing. It can convince us to let our guard down when we need to be the most vigilant. I greatly empathise with your video. Also, thank you so much for the level of openness and vulnerability you've shown here - it's a great feat, which is to be appreciated and respected. I'm a man, and I'm greatly insecure about my vulnerabilities. Your box metaphor also hit too close to home for me - I'm close to my 30s, I'm alone, and honesty, afraid. Afraid of what's to come. Afraid that there's nothing good to come. Even so, I try to wear my heart on my sleeve and in hope that I'll be able to change for the better. And again - hope can be dangerous - but, as many philosophical works mentioned, what else is there to do but to do our best. Thanks for the video, brother.
Comments like yours make it worthwhile to keep making videos even with just 50 views per week. Thank you so much for sharing this. It takes real courage to open up like you did here, and I respect that deeply. You’re not alone in this, and I hope you find the light you’re searching for. Thank you for being here, for watching, and for sharing your thoughts. It means a lot, truly. Let’s keep going, even when it’s hard.
Mana, it sounds like you're going through a tough time. Know that all of those other people around you who look like they have perfect boxes are also beaten up, scratched and dented inside. We all go through it from time to time, sometimes life just does that to you. You're the only one to have the courage to admit it publicly. As unpleasant as it is, try to celebrate these feelings because it's your life, your box and your scars. Try to accept them and hang in there until something or someone comes along to brighten up your box. PS. Sometimes we all need "friends". Try not to lean too hard on them, they can be treacherous.
Thank you so much for this beautiful message. It truly means a lot. You’re right-everyone’s ‘box’ has its share of dents and scratches, even if they don’t show it. Sharing these feelings is tough, but hearing words like yours makes it feel worth it. I’ll try to celebrate the imperfections, the scars, and the journey because, as you said, it’s all part of my box. Thank you again for your kindness and wisdom. It really brightened up my box today.

Ever thought about teaching english in Japan?
English is not my mother tongue, and apparently, Japan only needs native speakers
