  • In this episode we look at a Craftsman handheld blower and ask the question, "why do they build them like this"? If the thought of splitting your blower in half to do a simple restring gets you down then you'll want to follow along and see how easy it really is.

    This is well done! I looked at variety of these repair videos and none were this well done.....disassembly, assembly, everything! Nice work

    I am so glad that you showed the handle portion of the blower. When I took mine apart that bent rod just kinda fell out. I really had no idea where it went or even why it was in there. I guess it's an anti-static type of deal. I looked up the parts for the blower and the diagram doesn't even show that rod. Fortunately I was able to see where it went in your video. Thanks very much.

      @@TheGreasyShopRag, while I have your attention, what size Torx are you using on those MTD Torx screws? A T-25 is too big and a T-20 seems like it's a hair too small. It seems like maybe a T-21 or T-22 would fit tight, but you can't find them anywhere.

      @@RMartin631 Don't remember but it either T25 or T20. Maybe your T20 is a little rounded on the end?

    Hi. Do you remember what size starter cord you used for this job? I’m guessing maybe # 4 but wanted to be sure. Thanks!

    Ugga Dugga? is that a regional/technical term? I think out here in West Texas we call it AKKK AKKK AAKKK..Thats the impact wrench torqing WAY TOO Mucho on a lil bitty screw🦍.Personally I try to stay away from akk akk guns on the reassembly. Damn plastic and pewter/ aluminum/whatever is jinky enough without putting the gorilla gun on it. 👍👍👍. Thanks for the info.And yeah I liked and subscribed.

    Is there a ceryain lenght for the pull crank rope?

    • @TheGreasyShopRag
      @TheGreasyShopRag  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ther're all different. I don't know the exact length for this unit but I always try to put as much rope on as possible without binding the return spring at full extension.

    How do you get the tube off ...he put it on the floor and couldnt dee .

    • @TheGreasyShopRag
      @TheGreasyShopRag  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On the left side of the tube is a slot where you can see a red tab. Push the red tab in and pull the tube off. At 2:02 you can see a good shot of the tab after tube has been removed.

      @@JamesArnold-bv8tc I must have had problems with it also if I took it to the floor like that and edited some of the footage out. Good luck.
