i really enjoy your videos. you come up with great ideas & most importantly you are using regular affordable tools. your not cranking out any festool df 500 q dominos & using some huge general plainer. your cranking ryobi & craftsman, its keeping it real. keep with what your doing, please don't switch up your style, this is the one of the only places i see regular practical tools being used. anyway, love the reclaimed removable backsplash, thats a great idea.

friend of mine used a gluegun inside his RV trailer , the sun was shining and it was pretty hot inside so when he slammed the door one time everything he glued to the walls came down
think in youre case it wouldve been better to only use the hotglue to keep the piece in place and use watertight gleu or liquid nails for permanent fixation to the wall
do like how it turned out though

I did this, but with 3" wide pieces that were 12" long, sanded, squared and jointed - so any piece could go anywhere and all I had to worry about is staggering the thickness and color when placing them. Then I shot them with clear satin Polycrylic (for easy cleanup if something like spaghetti sauce hits them) and used clear PowerGrab to glue them to the existing ceramic tile. Worked like a charm and it looks amazing! I got some of the ideas from your video, thanks so much!

I own an ugly table and I would like you to gimme an idea of a table that can accommodate my 15.6" laptop, a few books, four speakers and a woofer. I would like something simple, classy, yet long-lasting. If possible, you could make a slot for stationery like pens, markers...etc I also tend to use an external mouse. So you can put that into consideration when making the table.

Looks nice, I guess you don't want to build it in front of the messy choping board :D I got a brilliant idea, check this out:
at the top wooden bits you glue to the top of the board (right under the top cabinets) take them out and fix another thicker ones which are going to step out at least 40-50mm. In this space where steps out groove a line all the way from one end to another and fit a LED strip.( make sure to hide all cables) I think is going to look unbealivable cool.
    good look. Piece.

idea for having it grasp onto the wall
magnets might work, it'll be a quick fix
    wont be neat however
velcro will work, the pain is when you need to seperate it
i suggest you make a slide hook, so to speak, make a sort of like the slide bolt locking mechanism you find on doors.
so you can leave everything as it is now, just add a slide to the back of the backsplash, and a bolt on the wall and slide in from the end once you have your locked end (the one you showed on the far end of the backsplash in the corner)
sort of like the battery compartment on most remote controls for TVs
