I'm loving this! My interface is a Presonus StudioLive 32SC mixer. Now i need to figure out the outs and ins so that i can use my ART Pro VLA II stereo compressor the way I want to with my Cubase DAW.
So just go Juno -> Audient iD24 input. Then take the insert send -> Urei input. Then take the Urei output -> insert return. Done and done! ***However, whatever compression settings you select, will be printed, aka forever committed to the recording, so be intentional about your settings***
Good question, the short answer is that the insert return is the “insert in.” The insert send is only to send the audio from the mic input of the interface to a piece of outboard gear, the return is where that signal comes back, goes into the interface
@@BurnAre as long as you have line outputs and line inputs you can absolutely do this, however, it’s worth noting that the line inputs on the id14 aren’t “true” line inputs, because they still go through the preamp. So if you were using like a higher end compressor or preamp, the quality may take a hit because the signal will still engage the onboard built in preamp… even if you use the 1/4” TRS line input. But as far as getting signal out and back in, you definitely can.

@@jeremythornton433 hey that’s awesome! I’m glad I could help! Love the VLA by the way. Possibly best bang for the buck compressor on the market
Thank you for the video. I have the Urei 1178 and Audient id24. How do I connect the urei and Juno 6 to the back of my Audient for a recording?

Just asking…….why not the insert in?

So i cant do this with an id14 since it doesnt have the return option?

But if its already line signal, will it still go trough the interface transformer? I know this is a bypass feature on the id24, at mic signal.
