Very cool Kyle, congrats! Good to see trains running on the layout. The track you use is far less important than the fact you're having fun! Just run trains.
Thank you John, I remember watching a fella on here a year or so ago on here and he used all bachmann track himself, I asked if he’s ever had any kind of problems with it and he never had. I do plan to do my wiring like you would for a standard layout with a bud and feeders and have a way of going about it with this track, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. For now it’s mostly experimenting on seeing how the track, locomotives, and dcc system held up in the garage, after about a week, I would say everything is great and given the high green. Thanks for watching!
It's always a huge deal to get the first train running on a new layout. I hear you on the temperature. We are in North Texas and our garage is unbearable in the summer.
I’d figured after about a week of running trains on and off and leaving two models out in the garage, I shouldn’t have to much of problem with anything. I must say the builder’s of this house did an excellent job. After the week, everything seems to be running great and I should be good to continue on the build. Thanks for watching!
Im definitely gonna go look at them next time I go out and see what they sell for. It honestly doesn’t feel bad in there, but rather play it safe then sorry. Thanks for watching!
Indeed it is Joe. I never have, I definitely makes me the odd ball for building a layout with bachmann track, but you know as well as I do, every cent counts, especially in this economy. Thanks for watching!
Cool 😎 Kyle! Get a metal blade fan they work the best and a dehumidifier. I have a small dehumidifier for about 200sq ft. I usually have a small amount of water every morning. Nothing is wrong with the Bachmann track.
Definitely will be getting a dehumidifier in the future, I’ll see what they cost in my area and see what will work best for me. I’d figured that after about 5+ years of running trains on this track, why stop, I’ve only had one problem switch, but if you remember, I also used Atlas switches with the Bachmann track and also worked great, so if needed, I’ll grab some Walthers or PECO and work with them. Thanks for watching!
Thank you Mike, I guess school did teach me one thing lol, experiment small before going full sized and give it time for the full results. I’d figured after about a week of running trains and no hiccups, I should be good. Thanks for watching!
Oh I love it, for what I’m able to do right now it works great. I use it mainly as a command station and use a DT402 as the throttle. I think it been about 3-6 years since I’ve had it and still works excellent. I will possibly have to upgrade once I get more track laid out, but for now, it’s doing more then enough on its job.

Thank you Anthony, hopefully by the time scenery comes along, you won’t be able to recognize it’s bachmann track. Thanks for watching!
Congrats Kyle! A train running is better than no train running at all! - Jason
Exactly. Thank you Jason!

Do whatever you need to. Yeah it's hot and humid.
Thanks Rusty, I’d figured after about a week of running trains, leaving them out there, and no problems, I should be good. Thanks for watching!
Nice! I have a DCS 51 also. Do you like it?
